Seeing this, Odin only sighed at his friend's actions.
"What was that, Odin?" asked Azazel as the King of the Gods turned to him.
"You know Sirzechs' power, so you can't think he's so weak as to be defeated so easily," said Azazel seriously.
"Exactly, Sirzechs-chan is quite powerful," said Serafall, nodding.
"Yes, I know Sirzechs' power," said Odin, nodding calmly to everyone's surprise. "But I also know Gilgamesh's power."
Odin recalled the time he witnessed the power of the King of Heroes, not in his battle against Thor.
But on another visit from Gilgamesh, where Odin insisted on seeing the full power of the King of Heroes because he wanted to know the true extent of his strength.
That had happened a year ago, long before Gilgamesh had even acquired the [Boosted Gear] and his other Sacred Gears.
"And that..." Odin's voice came out in a murmur, but everyone could hear it.
The spear in Odin's hand trembled as the body of the Elder God of Norse Mythology shook, remembering the power he witnessed that day.
"It's not something someone like Sirzechs can match."
With Gilgamesh.
After leaving the meeting room, Gilgamesh walked calmly through the corridors as he headed to where his companions were.
Sebas followed Gilgamesh calmly without saying a word.
"So, how's what I asked for?" asked Gilgamesh as he walked.
"Everything is okay. After the battle, will you deal with that matter?" asked Sebas curiously.
"Yes, Zaekram tested my patience. I think it's time we paid him a little visit," replied Gilgamesh with a smile on his face.
Sebas couldn't help but shudder at the sight of the smile on Gilgamesh's face.
It wasn't the same calm and gentle smile he had, nor even his arrogant smile.
It was a sadistic smile filled with pure disdain, a smile that would make the original Gilgamesh praise and admire him.
Sebas couldn't help but feel pity for Zaekram Bael.
Gilgamesh continued walking until he reached a large door, which he opened.
When Gilgamesh opened the door, he came face-to-face with all the members of his Faction sitting on sofas, relaxing after the battle.
"Hey, everyone," said Gilgamesh cheerfully.
Everyone quickly turned to Gilgamesh as smiles appeared on their faces.
"Gil," said Valerie, approaching.
"Your battle was good," said Gilgamesh, smiling.
"It was a piece of cake," said Achilles, leaning back on the sofa.
"But now it's your turn to fight, right?" asked Enkidu while petting Fenrir, who howled excitedly.
"Yes, I'm heading to the fight now," said the King of Heroes, smiling.
"I see."
"Good luck, Gilgamesh," said Arthur, nodding, with Arturia agreeing.
"Crush him, Master!" shouted Mordred excitedly.
"You can bet I will," said Gilgamesh, smiling calmly as he left the room.
"Well, let's watch," said Merlin as everyone looked at a screen forming in front of them.
"Gil will win," said Asia while Leonardo nodded.
They had already been in that room before everyone else, as they had stayed there to watch the fight.
"But still, I hope it's an interesting battle," said Karna, to everyone's surprise.
"You're talking!" shouted Achilles, surprised, as everyone turned to him as if he were an idiot.
"He really is an idiot," said Tiamat, shaking her head.
Before anyone could say anything, a familiar explosion of power caught everyone's attention, and they turned to Sebas, who had a menacing aura.
"Quiet! Let's watch the Young Master's battle," said Sebas seriously.
"Yes, sir!" everyone shouted, trying to avoid the butler's wrath.
On the Battlefield.
The battlefield created for the fight between the Crimson Maou and the King of Heroes was already prepared.
It was an immense plain, not much different from the dungeons Gilgamesh created, designed this way to give no advantage to either combatant.
Although it seemed simple, the territory it covered was twice the size of Japan, created on this scale to withstand the power of the two combatants.
In the middle of this battlefield stood Sirzechs. The Crimson Maou wore his traditional attire, indicating he was a Demon Lord.
His eyes were closed as he thought of plans for the battle, waiting for Gilgamesh to appear.
"Sorry for the delay, Sirzechs."
Hearing his enemy's voice, the Crimson Maou opened his eyes and saw Gilgamesh stop a few meters away from him, but what surprised Sirzechs the most was Gilgamesh's attire.
He wore no armor or clothing on the upper part of his body, revealing his bare chest with various red tattoos visible. The lower part of Gilgamesh's body was covered in golden armor.
Gilgamesh's naturally straight hair was spiked, and his crimson eyes gleamed with amusement.
Even Sirzechs had to admit that, for some reason, this appearance was somewhat intimidating.
"No problem," said Sirzechs gently, shaking his head calmly.
"So, shall we begin?" asked Gilgamesh seriously.
"Yes."
Soon, Grayfia's voice rang out.
[To everyone, on this occasion, I, the [Queen] of the Lucifer group, Grayfia, will be the referee in the "Rating Game" between Maou Lucifer, Sirzechs Lucifer-sama, and the leader of the Avalon Faction, Gilgamesh-sama.]
[The battlefield was created to give no advantage to either combatant, and it spans twice the territory of Japan. There will be no rules in this battle; the winner is the one who renders their opponent unable to fight first.]
After finishing her explanation, Grayfia's voice spoke one last time.
[So, if there are no questions, you may begin.]
"Then let's get started," said Gilgamesh, opening his eyes.
Only to see Sirzechs appear in front of him with his fist ready to strike.
In less than a second, the Crimson Maou had covered the distance of a few meters between him and Gilgamesh instantly.
Sirzechs' raised fist, covered in a deep crimson aura, his [Power of Destruction] unleashed and condensed into the strike.
Though it seemed like a simple punch reinforced by magic, it was much more than that.
Sirzechs' already monstrous physical strength, combined with his immense [Demonic Power] and his [Power of Destruction] that could annihilate everything, was fully condensed into his fist.
Without a doubt, this single attack could bring down even a God-class being with ease.
Sirzechs aimed a strike with his full power, charged with all the [Demonic Power] and [Power of Destruction] he could imbue into his fist to end the fight in one blow.
Or at least to cause damage to Gilgamesh.
Sirzechs knew the power of the King of Heroes; he had experienced it firsthand, and so he knew that if he let Gilgamesh get serious, things would become very problematic.
Sirzechs' fist advanced, literally tearing through the air, the amount of destructive energy in the strike ripping through space as the molecules in the air were essentially annihilated from existence.
And when it was less than a centimeter from Gilgamesh's head…
Sirzechs' fist hit nothing.
"What?" Sirzechs blinked in surprise as his mind couldn't comprehend what had happened.
His fist was going to hit the King of Heroes, that was certain; he was less than a centimeter away, and it should have been impossible for anyone to react at that speed.
Looking to the side, Sirzechs saw what had happened.
Gilgamesh's body hadn't moved a single millimeter to dodge the strike; he had merely tilted his head to the side and avoided the blow as if it were nothing.
"He dodged my strike at that distance; his reaction speed is monstrous," thought Sirzechs, stunned.
Gilgamesh only gained a provocative smile on his face.
"Don't be so hasty, Sirzechs. Let's enjoy the moment," said Gilgamesh cheerfully.
Before Sirzechs could react, Gilgamesh's knee, covered in his divine aura, connected with the Crimson Maou's stomach.
Sirzechs' eyes widened as he felt his internal organs being jolted by the force of the blow.
Applying more force, Gilgamesh unleashed his energy, causing Sirzechs to be sent flying dozens of meters away.
Quickly regaining his composure, Sirzechs increased his aura as his power manifested.
Faster than most people could blink, a dozen demonic circles surrounded Gilgamesh from all sides, and in the next moment, the King of Heroes was being bombarded with tiny spheres made of [Power of Destruction].
They may have been small, but everything they touched, whether matter or magic, was completely annihilated.
But even with such dangerous powers attacking him, Gilgamesh had nothing to fear. Each tiny destructive sphere froze before hitting him, hovering in the air.
Surrounding each of the spheres made of [Power of Destruction] were blue orbs with rings bearing Roman numeral patterns circling around them.
One of the spells of [Time Magic] combined with [Mana Zone].
[Mana Zone: Chrono Stasis Grigora], a time-based restriction spell, using [Mana Zone] to take control of all surrounding magic, making it possible to create an area where any enemy magic is automatically captured.
Now, even Sirzechs' [Power of Destruction], which could annihilate virtually anything, was useless, trapped in a sphere that created a temporal loop.
Sirzechs' eyes widened as he saw his attack being stopped, and by magic he had never seen Gilgamesh use before.
Gilgamesh quickly crouched as his body was covered in a deep yellow aura.
This aura represented Gilgamesh's [Celestial Body Magic].
A magic that allowed the King of Heroes to channel the power of celestial bodies like planets, stars, and black holes into his body and use them at his discretion.
And depending on the celestial body Gilgamesh channeled, he could acquire different powers. For example, the planet Jupiter is closely associated with Zeus, the King of the Greek Gods, and if Gilgamesh channeled that power through his body, he could acquire powers similar to Zeus'.
Obviously, each planet and celestial body had a different power.
"Meteor," proclaimed Gilgamesh as the golden aura around his body intensified.
In an instant, Gilgamesh had become nothing more than a flash of golden light. [Meteor] allowed Gilgamesh to channel the speed of a meteor through his body.
Although it wasn't an attack technique, there are meteors that can reach speeds close to the speed of light, making it an incredibly powerful ability.
Gilgamesh's body was surrounded by a mantle of [Celestial Body Magic], allowing him to move through the air at incredible speeds. Even if an individual could detect his trajectory, it was nearly impossible to hit or keep up with him.
Sirzechs couldn't react to what was coming. Gilgamesh's body shone in gold, and in an instant, he had appeared in front of the Crimson Maou.
"Don't get distracted, Sirzechs," shouted Gilgamesh as he struck the Crimson Maou.
Gilgamesh's fists gained a metallic hue as his [Armament Haki] was imbued into them.
All Sirzechs could do was raise his arms and reinforce them with his [Demonic Power] to defend against the strike.
However, the moment Gilgamesh's fists hit Sirzechs' high guard, the Crimson Maou was sent flying to the ground.
At the moment of contact, Gilgamesh had used [Emission] to expand his aura outward from his body.
Thus, Gilgamesh had struck Sirzechs without even touching the Crimson Maou.
Raising his hand upward, Gilgamesh quickly invoked a new magic.
"Light Magic: Swords of Judgment Light."
Around Gilgamesh, light particles began to gather as magical power was condensed, and dozens of swords made of pure light manifested around him.
With a wave of his hand, the dozens of swords shot toward Sirzechs, the swords of pure light advancing against the demon with the intent to annihilate him.
However, when they were several meters from hitting where Sirzechs was, an immense sphere of pure condensed [Power of Destruction] shot out, consuming all the swords of light, annihilating them.
Gilgamesh quickly dodged as he saw the crimson sphere of power continue to advance until it dissipated in the middle of the sky.
Landing calmly, the King of Heroes waited for Sirzechs to return.
After a few seconds, the sound of movement broke Gilgamesh from his concentration, and looking ahead, the King of Heroes saw Sirzechs rise from the crater unscathed.
Not even a scratch was on his body as the Crimson Maou appeared completely fine after receiving Gilgamesh's attacks.
And that made the King of Heroes smile.
Unfazed by Gilgamesh's attacks and by his own attacks having no effect, Sirzechs raised his right hand as he prepared to attack again.
"Ruin the Extinct."
The strongest of the Satans commanded, releasing some of his own limiters. Numerous crimson spheres, each one a condensed sphere of [Power of Destruction], surrounded them, and with a single gesture, each one launched toward Gilgamesh.
[Ruin the Extinct] was the special technique Sirzechs had developed. Sirzechs compresses his [Power of Destruction] into small spheres capable of eliminating anything without leaving a trace. He is then able to freely maneuver these spheres and bypass enemy defenses to destroy specific targets. Sirzechs is known for having superior technique with this ability.
Gilgamesh watched as all the spheres advanced toward him. It had been a long time since Gilgamesh felt so much power in each attack; not even when he fought against Sun Wukong, Artemis, or Ares had any of them unleashed so much raw destructive power as the Leader of the Satans was casually emitting.
Without Gilgamesh knowing, the Underworld hadn't seen this kind of attack since the days of the Civil War, and if Sirzechs' detractors had seen what he had done, they would think twice before challenging him. Still, the King of Heroes seemed unconcerned as the spheres of Destruction approached.
"Some people never learn," he said, shaking his head at the impending attack.
Though not nearly as fast as the previous attack, each sphere was packed with enough power to completely decimate a High-Class Demon, and the number heading toward him would have posed a danger even to Divinities.
Opening his eyes, Sirzechs could notice a considerable change, both in Gilgamesh's aura and power.
His blood-red crimson eyes had been replaced by a vibrant red, with three black tomoe appearing around his black pupil.
And then they changed again.
