Chapter 90 - New Life DxD- Chapter 87

"I see, so it will be a confrontation between the Gremory group and the Astaroth group?" asked Azazel.

A few hours after the Young Devils' Gathering had ended, everyone had returned to the Gremory household. Both Rias's peerage and the Avalon Faction were currently gathered in a room, talking with Azazel, who had welcomed them upon their arrival.

"Today is July 28 in the human world. So, we have almost 20 days until the day of the match," said Azazel while fiddling with his phone.

"T-Training for that?" asked Issei, and Azazel nodded.

"Of course. I plan to have you start tomorrow. I've already made a list of training regimens for each of you," he informed, looking at the Gremory group.

"But is it okay for just us to receive advice from the Governor of the Fallen Angels? Isn't that unfair?" asked Issei again.

However, Azazel just sighed.

"Actually, no. Did you know I intend to give advice to several people on the demon side? They also said the angels will be doing something similar. The rest depends on the pride of these young demons. If, deep down, they want to get stronger and improve their abilities, they'll gladly accept the help."

"Even my Vice-Governor is giving advice to each of the families. Haha! Shemhazai's advice might even be more useful than mine!"

"Alright, everything's set. Gather in the garden tomorrow morning. I'll go over the training methods for each of you. Be ready."

[Yes!]

As everyone got excited, Azazel turned his gaze to Gilgamesh, who was calmly seated on a sofa with his companions around him.

"So, what are you going to do, Gilgamesh?" asked Azazel, drawing everyone's attention to the King of Heroes.

Azazel was genuinely curious about what Gilgamesh and his group would do.

After the battle between Rias and Rin Astaroth, Gilgamesh's group would have to face the winner, and Gilgamesh himself would fight Sirzechs Lucifer.

"Besides killing the author for taking over a month to write a chapter, when I could've already ended this nonsense," thought the King of Heroes.

"Some light training before the battles and some strategies. There are a few things I want to test, and I also want to help Valerie and Leonardo develop their powers further," said Gilgamesh with a sigh.

"I see. If you'd like, I can help with their training, especially for the Longinus users," said Azazel, trying to hide his excitement.

The Governor of the Fallen Angels was eager to study the Longinus wielded by Gilgamesh and his group.

Studying [Annihilation Maker] wielded by Leonardo, the two Sacred Gears [Sephiroth Graal] and [Incinerate Anthem] wielded by Valerie, and especially those wielded by Gilgamesh.

For example, how powerful would the effects of Longinus-class Sacred Gears be when wielded by a demigod, and the effect of having five of them in the same body, along with [Telos Karma] and [Innovate Clear], two of the least understood Sacred Gears.

The King of Heroes laughed, knowing what Azazel wanted but didn't mind.

"Feel free to help and study the Sacred Gears. We're allies, aren't we?" said Gilgamesh with a mysterious smile that Azazel didn't miss.

"Indeed," said Azazel, smiling, though he still had his doubts about it.

The Fallen Angel Leader's eyes grew serious. "Are you really going to fight Sirzechs?" asked Azazel, gaining everyone's attention.

Azazel still didn't know what Sirzechs was planning, let alone Zekram Bael, but he knew it wasn't anything good.

Azazel was aware of Gilgamesh's power and that he would likely win, but the battle wouldn't be easy for Gilgamesh, especially if he didn't use his Sacred Gears.

There was a reason Sirzechs had been considered the Lord of All Demons for 200 years without anyone questioning it. He was someone who had reached the Top 10, and in his "True Form," he was considered a monster even by god-class beings.

"Sirzechs challenged me, Azazel, and that's something I can't let slide," said Gilgamesh, receiving a serious look from Azazel. "But don't worry, it won't be a fight to the death."

Gilgamesh knew a fight against Sirzechs would be complicated, especially due to his mastery over [Power of Destruction].

Gilgamesh had experience dealing with this type of magic due to his training with Sebas, but that was the problem—Gilgamesh didn't know how powerful Sirzechs' mastery over this power was.

The King of Heroes knew Sebas was stronger than Sirzechs, but only if he used his "True Form," something Gilgamesh had never seen because Sebas disliked using it.

So, Gilgamesh didn't know how to gauge Sirzechs' power with his lineage, but he knew it would be challenging.

There were only two ways to counter [Power of Destruction]: the first was to dodge the attack, and the second was to counterattack with equal force.

Gilgamesh himself could use [Destruction Magic], but it wouldn't be very effective against Sirzechs due to his far greater mastery and experience with this type of power.

"I see," said Azazel, sighing.

"Then we'll take our leave," said Gilgamesh as he stood up, followed by everyone while Rias and her peerage, along with Azazel, waved goodbye.

"What a complicated guy," thought Azazel, sighing.

Scene Change.

The next day, everyone was gathered in the vast garden of the Gremory household.

Rias and her peerage were wearing athletic clothes, while Gilgamesh's group was dressed as usual.

Everyone was seated around a large table set up in the garden, discussing training plans.

In truth, it was mostly Rias's peerage, as Gilgamesh had his eyes closed, deep in thought, while his companions enjoyed the food spread out on the table.

Azazel, holding some documents, began speaking.

"Let's start with Rias's peerage. Let me explain this first. What I'm about to give you is training based on what you need right now. Some will see immediate results, but others will have a long road ahead. However, you're all young and developing. Even if you take a wrong turn, you'll evolve. So, first up is you, Rias."

"You've always been a demon with high potential in everything, including talent, physical ability, and magical power. Even if you continue as you are, those attributes will increase, and you'll likely become a top-tier demon when you're an adult. However, your desire is to become stronger than you would otherwise, right?"

Rias nodded eagerly at Azazel's question.

"Then follow exactly what's written on this sheet every day until the match."

After looking at the piece of paper Azazel handed her, Rias tilted her head in confusion.

"…But this training doesn't seem like much. Does it?"

"Correct. This is a basic training method. That's enough for you. You've already achieved what you needed. That's why your power can only be increased through basic training. The issue is the quality of a [King]. Over time, [Kings] tend to rely more on their brains than their strength. You know that even if they're not good with magic, demons can reach the top if they have a sharp mind and intelligence, right? Learn everything you can about Rating Games by the deadline. Memorize everything, from videos to written records. What a [King] needs is knowledge, quick decision-making, and good judgment in any situation. It's your job to ensure your group of demon servants can perform at their maximum capacity. However, remember this: until the match, you won't know what will happen. It's the same as on a battlefield."

Rias nodded at Azazel's words.

"Next is Akeno."

"…Yes."

Despite being called by Azazel, Akeno was in a bad mood.

"You need to accept the blood running through your veins," said Azazel seriously.

"—!"

Akeno frowned at Azazel's words, but he didn't care.

"I saw the videos recorded from the match against the Phenex family. What was that? In your original form, you could've easily defeated the enemy [Queen]. Why didn't you use your Fallen Angel powers? You limited yourself to just lightning. If you don't combine the power of light with your lightning to create holy lightning, you won't be able to show your true power."

"…I can manage without relying on that kind of power."

However, Akeno's situation was extremely complicated.

"Don't deny yourself. What will you do if you can't accept who you are? In the end, the only thing you can rely on is yourself, right? Denying yourself makes you weak. Accept everything about yourself, even the difficult and painful parts. Your current state is your weakness. Overcome it by the day of the match. If not, you'll just be a burden in the upcoming matches. The [Priestess of Thunder] must become the [Priestess of Holy Lightning]."

"…"

Akeno didn't respond to Azazel's words.

However, she also understood she had no choice but to do it.

"Next is Kiba."

"Yes."

"First, you need to be able to maintain your Balance Breaker for an entire day. If you get used to it, you'll be able to sustain it for a full day even in battle. Your goal is to keep it up for the duration of a day. After that, you'll be strong enough to do basic training like Rias. Later, I'll personally teach you how to wield a sword powered by a Sacred Gear."

"For sword training… are you going to train with your teacher again?"

"Yes, I plan to start from scratch again."

"Next is Gasper."

"Y-Yes!" said Gasper nervously.

"Don't be so timid. Your biggest obstacle is that fear. You need to train your body and mind from the ground up. To start, your lineage and Sacred Gear are already enough. Increasing your ability as a [Bishop] and your magical power is a good idea too. Since I've created an exclusive [plan to stop being a hikikomori], you first need to deal with that however you can. Even if going out in public is impossible, you have to make sure you don't show it."

"Yes! I'll try to gain courage and go all out!"

"Next is Koneko."

"…Yes."

"There's nothing to complain about with you, as you have well-trained offensive and defensive power as a [Rook]. Your physical strength isn't an issue. However, in Rias's group, there are those who are better at attacking than a [Rook] like you."

"…I know."

"Koneko, you'll also improve through the basics, like the others. Additionally, release what you've sealed within yourself. It's the same as with Akeno. If you don't accept yourself, significant growth won't be possible for you."

Koneko didn't say anything, only nodding at Azazel's words.

"With Issei, it'll be about improving his physical abilities," said Azazel, receiving a nod from the boy.

The Governor of the Fallen Angels' eyes turned to Gilgamesh.

"So, what's the training plan for your group?" asked Azazel, curious.

"Well, Arthur will train with Arturia as usual to improve his skills," said Gilgamesh calmly, receiving nods from both.

"I'm in your care," said Arthur, bowing slightly to Arturia.

"Yes, we'll train hard during these days," said Arturia, agreeing.

Gilgamesh nodded and turned to Le Fay and Valerie.

"Le Fay and Valerie, you'll train with Merlin. He'll help improve your magical abilities," said Gilgamesh, nodding to the two.

"Very well, Gilgamesh-sama," said Le Fay, nodding.

"Okay, Gil," said Valerie, smiling.

"Is that okay with you, Merlin?" asked Gilgamesh, making the Flower Mage smile.

"Of course, my master. Training two lovely girls is a dream come true," said Merlin, smiling, only to have to dodge a strike from Arturia with Excalibur.

Gilgamesh sighed and turned to Azazel. "If you want, you can help with Leonardo and Valerie's training with their Longinus, Azazel," said Gilgamesh.

"It'll be a pleasure," the Fallen Angel said with a wide grin at the prospect of studying the three Longinus.

"As for Xenovia, she'll improve her sword skills by training with Mordred," said Gilgamesh calmly, as it was common for the two to train together.

"Don't worry, Master. I'll teach her everything I can," said Mordred, smiling.

Meanwhile, Xenovia shivered, recalling the training she endured under the Knight of Treachery.

"As for Asia, she already has good control, but she can increase the range of her healing power," said Gilgamesh, receiving a nod from Asia. "Can you help her, Enkidu?"

"Of course," said the Weapon of the Gods, smiling, while Fenrir, sitting on their lap, barked happily.

"Now, Achilles, Karna, and Sebas, you're free to do whatever you want," said Gilgamesh, receiving nods from them.

From the looks of Achilles and Karna, it was clear they would train together. It wasn't hard for Gilgamesh to tell that both had wanted to fight for a while.

As for Sebas, he would likely do what he always did, which was supervise the others.

Gilgamesh also knew that Tiamat wouldn't participate in the battle since she was the judge of the Rating Games, but it didn't matter much.

"Alright, and are you going to train too?" asked Azazel, curious, as he turned to Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh smiled. "Yes, there's something I want to test. Do you know a place where I can cause a lot of destruction, Azazel?"

The Governor of the Fallen Angels' eyes showed doubt. "I might know a few."

"Good, then I'd like you to take me there," said Gilgamesh, standing up. "You can start your training now if you want," he said to his friends, who nodded.

"Very well, let's begin the training," said Azazel, with everyone agreeing.

Almost 20 Days Later.

Nearly all the training days available before the battle between Rias and Rin had passed, and there had been significant progress.

Both Gilgamesh's group and Rias's group had greatly improved their skills, but since no one cares about Rias and her group, let's focus on the Avalon Faction and their group.

With Xenovia, she spent the days training with Mordred, whether it was improving her sword skills or physical training.

Xenovia gained better control over Durandal's power, though she was still far from Vasco Strada's level of mastery. Her current skill could allow her to defeat an Ultimate-class demon if she landed a direct hit.

Training with Mordred also enhanced Xenovia's natural swordsmanship skills. Unlike Arthur, who relied on technique, Xenovia used destructive power, which complemented Mordred's style.

Xenovia also underwent intense physical training to withstand the strain of her sword and increase her endurance, as she was human.

With her sword skills, Xenovia also gained proficiency with Ascalon, the Dragon-Slaying Holy Sword. As a natural dual-wielder, she could even wield both swords simultaneously.

As for Arthur, he also underwent intense training with Arturia. Both were technique-based fighters, so she passed on much of her expertise to him.

Arthur could not only fire waves of holy energy but also maintain that energy in his body to enhance his physical abilities.

With his swords, Arthur extracted even more power from Caliburn and further mastered its space manipulation abilities, but his greatest progress was with his other sword.

Arthur's training with Excalibur was intense, and his progress was immense. Though he still couldn't unleash the sword's true power, the amount of energy he could release far surpassed that of the individual Excalibur Fragments.

Arthur also managed to use some of the sword's abilities, though only a fraction of Excalibur's many powers. He could wield the destructive power of Excalibur Destruction, increase his speed with Excalibur Rapidly, create small illusions with Excalibur Nightmare, and control objects with Excalibur Ruler.

Though he hadn't mastered any of these swords' powers, his skill was notable.

As for Le Fay and Valerie, both saw significant improvements in their magical abilities thanks to Merlin's teachings.

Say what you will about the Flower Mage, but he was an excellent teacher when he wanted to be. He had mastered the most complex magics in a short time and passed that knowledge to the two girls.

Valerie also improved her control over her Sacred Gears, managing to use [Sephiroth Graal] with less strain on her mind.

With [Incinerate Anthem], Valerie could use the purple flames' power more effectively, generating more holy fire without exhausting herself as much, though she was still far from achieving Balance Breaker.

With the artificial Sacred Gear [Dragonar Extinct], Valerie increased the duration she could maintain her Balance Breaker and the abilities she could use.

As for Leonardo, the boy also gained better control over his Sacred Gear, creating his constructs faster and making them more powerful, nearly at the level of a High-class demon. With his other Sacred Gear, [Night Reflection], he also achieved notable mastery.

Asia improved her healing abilities, now able to heal from a distance. She also developed a kind of light arrow that healed whoever it touched, but it only worked on those Asia considered allies.

As for Achilles and Karna, they had their bouts, which often ended in a draw due to Sebas interrupting them for causing too much destruction.

As for the King of Heroes himself, he was undergoing intense training in a more remote part of the Underworld.

It was a vast mountain range, the training ground of the Sekiryuutei, known as the Dragon Mountain, home to the dragons living in the Underworld and their leader, the former Dragon King Tannin.

In one of the more isolated mountains, an overwhelming presence could be felt. All the dragons and creatures in the area had fled in fear of the being there.

The entire mountain was covered in an intense draconic aura, a mix of two colors: emerald green and sapphire blue, representing two draconic auras enveloping the region.

The closer one got to the mountain, the stronger the aura became until reaching its source.

Inside the mountain, in a large cavern, the origin of the immense draconic aura could be seen.

The aura came from a being that seemed to wear armor resembling dragon scales. The armor was predominantly crimson red, but white and blue hues also colored it.

The armored being's aura slowly diminished, condensing around the armor as it fell to its knees, breathing heavily.

The armor began to crack and shatter, revealing who was beneath it.

It was a young man in his late teens with golden hair and crimson red eyes like two rubies adorning his face. On his left hand was a red gauntlet with two emerald green jewels and ten golden spikes.

This was Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, and his Longinus [Boosted Gear], housing the soul of Ddraig, the Welsh Dragon.

"It seems we finally did it, Ddraig," said Gilgamesh, breathing heavily.

[Yes, I still can't believe what you've accomplished, mixing my power with Albion's,] said Ddraig, visibly surprised, in Gilgamesh's mind.

What the King of Heroes had been training for during these nearly twenty days was a new form he achieved after absorbing Albion's power.

During Gilgamesh's battle with Vali, when the Sekiryuutei delivered the final blow to the Hakuryuukou, one of the jewels from [Divine Dividing] came loose from the armor, and Gilgamesh took it with his magic.

Gilgamesh's goal was to merge his power and acquire Albion's, and that's what he had been training for during these days.

After all, if Issei Hyoudou could do it, he, the King of Heroes, should be able to do it with far greater power.

His form was different from the one Issei used in canon, where Issei could separate the Hakuryuukou's power into small dragon hatchlings that could use [Divide] and [Reflect].

But what Gilgamesh did was different. He truly merged Albion's power with his own, creating a new form, distinct from both Balance Breaker and Juggernaut Drive, where he could use the powers of both the Sekiryuutei and the Hakuryuukou simultaneously.

However, there were costs. First, the extremely high expenditure of magical power and stamina when using the White Dragon's power. While this form wasn't as strong as Juggernaut Drive, the variety of abilities was extremely useful.

Gilgamesh took a deep breath as he stood up, and the [Boosted Gear] disappeared from his hand.

He was considerably exhausted after so much training. If Gilgamesh had to estimate, he was at about twenty-five percent of his total magical power, but he would recover soon.

In a swift movement, Gilgamesh leaped, generating a shockwave as he headed toward the opening above the cavern.

Gilgamesh emerged from the cavern in the mountain, squinting to adjust to the sunlight, as he had been training the entire time.

"I see you've finished your training," said a voice behind Gilgamesh.

Turning around, the King of Heroes saw the source of the voice. It was a massive fifteen-meter-tall Western dragon. Except for the underside of his body, specifically his belly, the inner portions of his long tail, and legs, which were beige, most of his body was covered in dark purple draconic scales. He had a triangular head with yellow horns, a pair of large, sharp red eyes with lilac sclera, and serrated yet sharp canine teeth. He also had claws with long, sharp yellow nails and large bat-like wings with rigid tips. Additionally, he wore black armor extending to his arms and a loincloth decorated with metallic accessories.

"Yes, thanks for letting me train here, Tannin," said Gilgamesh, smiling.

The one standing before Gilgamesh was Tannin, a former Dragon King, also known as the "Meteor Flame Dragon," and currently a reincarnated demon.

Tannin was a former Dragon King from the era when they were called the "Six Dragon Kings." However, he became a reincarnated demon, serving as the [Queen] of Mephisto Pheles.

He became a demon for two reasons: the first was to participate in the Rating Games, and the second was for the Dragon Apples, a fruit that now exists only in the Underworld, which a certain race of dragons needs to survive.

He then joined the Rating Games, becoming one of the Top 10 and an Ultimate-class Devil, earning the right to his own territory. He chose the area where the Dragon Apples grew and even began researching how to artificially cultivate them.

A dragon who set aside his pride as a dragon so that the new generation of dragons could live peacefully.

Tannin was a being Gilgamesh truly respected for what he did to help his race evolve.

"It's not a problem. You and Ddraig are always welcome here," said the Dragon King, laughing.

Several days ago, Gilgamesh had arrived at Dragon Mountain and asked Tannin to train there. The Dragon King saw no issue and allowed the King of Heroes to train.

[I'm glad to hear that, Tannin,] said Ddraig, appearing on Gilgamesh's left hand in a green light.

"I have a question. While you were training, I sensed Albion's aura mixing with yours, Ddraig," said Tannin, curious.

Ddraig and Gilgamesh began explaining the purpose of the training and what they were doing.

Tannin's eyes widened in surprise with every word from Gilgamesh and Ddraig.

"Remarkable. Who would've thought you could achieve something like this," said Tannin, visibly shocked.

The dragon never imagined it was possible to mix Ddraig and Albion's aura and power, as they were complete opposites.

[Yes, I still can't express my surprise at what my partner is capable of,] said Ddraig, as he hadn't imagined it either.

Gilgamesh just laughed at Ddraig's words.

Tannin glanced at Gilgamesh, pondering and nodding.

"So, how about some additional training?" asked Tannin.

Both Gilgamesh and Ddraig looked puzzled.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I don't think I'm a worthy opponent for the King of Heroes, but I believe we could train a bit now, so you can see how this form performs in battle," said the Dragon King calmly, awaiting Gilgamesh's response.

The King of Heroes considered for a moment before nodding.

"Alright, I agree with you," said Gilgamesh calmly.

Tannin gave a draconic smile as he moved with Gilgamesh to a more isolated location.

They walked a bit until they reached a small valley surrounded by mountains, though it was at the edge of Tannin's territory, where both could cause as much destruction as they wanted.

"Well, let's begin," said Tannin as a deep purple draconic aura surged around his body. "Whenever you're ready."

Gilgamesh smiled as he raised his left hand, which glowed with a red aura as the [Boosted Gear] manifested.

"Let's go, Ddraig."

[Let's do this, partner!!]

"Balance Breaker!"

A massive pillar of red energy shot into the sky, enveloping Gilgamesh's entire body.

When the aura dissipated, Gilgamesh was revealed, clad in red armor resembling dragon scales, with several green jewels around the armor, golden details, and two large wings sprouting from his back.

[Welsh Dragon Balance Breaker]

Gilgamesh's aura exploded, condensing around his body.

Tannin's eyes widened in surprise at the aura Gilgamesh was emanating.

"That armor… it's different from the standard Balance Breaker. A subspecies?" asked Tannin, visibly surprised.

"Exactly. This is my subspecies Balance Breaker, [Celestial Essence of the Welsh Dragon]," said Gilgamesh calmly.

"I see, but I want you to use your new form. I want to see the power of the Two Heavenly Dragons combined," said Tannin firmly.

Gilgamesh smiled behind his armor.

"Let's do it then," said Gilgamesh, grinning.

A massive aura suddenly began to envelop Gilgamesh's body, not just a red aura but also a white draconic aura.

The two distinct auras covered the Sekiryuutei's entire body as everything around began to tremble.

Tannin's eyes widened as he felt a perfect blend of Ddraig and Albion's auras.

When the aura dissipated, Tannin couldn't help but stare in awe at what he saw.

Gilgamesh's armor was slightly larger. Before, it was entirely red, but now it was a mix of red and white, with both colors dividing the armor. The previously green jewels had become a mix of sapphire blue and emerald green, with both colors alternating across all the jewels.

A deep red and white aura completely enveloped Gilgamesh's body. On his back, his wings had changed.

Now they were identical to those of [Divine Dividing], long red wings with eight "feathers" of energy, four red and four blue.

Gilgamesh's armor was a perfect blend of the Sekiryuutei and Hakuryuukou's Balance Breakers.

[Balance Breaker X Side: Celestial Essence of the Heavenly Dragons]

Ddraig's voice announced Gilgamesh's new form as his immense aura surrounded his entire body.

Balance Breaker is naturally divided into three forms: Crest Side, Abyss Side, and X Side.

Crest Side encompasses most Balance Breakers, including subspecies.

Abyss Side is an advanced form of Balance Breaker. After achieving Balance Breaker, it's possible for further changes to occur to enhance it.

X Side is an irregular and unique form of Balance Breaker. This class belongs to a category that can't be classified under known categories due to its irregularity, whether from sudden changes or being a combination of known categories.

Gilgamesh's new Balance Breaker, combining the powers of the Sekiryuutei and Hakuryuukou, [Celestial Essence of the Heavenly Dragons], falls into the last category as something entirely different and unique.

Tannin's eyes couldn't believe what they were seeing—a form that perfectly blended the powers of Ddraig and Albion, the Two Heavenly Dragons.

"I see. Looking at it, it's truly a mix of Ddraig and Albion's power," said Tannin, marveling at the emanating power.

Gilgamesh took a step forward as his aura intensified.

"Yes, but it's hard to maintain this form for long," said Gilgamesh calmly.

"Then let's begin," said Tannin, expanding his power.

Tannin quickly expanded his aura, gaining a deep purple aura that completely enveloped his body.

Gilgamesh also expanded his power, gaining an even deeper emerald green and sapphire blue aura than before.

Both quickly charged at each other, clashing in the middle of the battlefield as their fists collided.

Though Gilgamesh was much smaller than Tannin, the force he put into the strike was more than enough to rival the former Dragon King's.

Seeing he was losing, Tannin quickly expanded his magic as his horn extended, intending to pierce the King of Heroes.

Gilgamesh saw the horn coming at him. The amount of aura Tannin had put into the strike was enough to rival Durandal's cutting power.

In a swift movement, Gilgamesh caught the strike, grabbing Tannin's horn to the dragon's astonishment, and in a quick motion, threw the Dragon King toward the sky.

Tannin's shock at what had happened prevented him from reacting as Gilgamesh appeared before him, his fist fully enveloped in a crimson aura.

[Penetrate!]

Gilgamesh's fist collided with the former Dragon King's stomach, who spat blood, feeling the immense aura and power, especially after the strike was enhanced by [Penetrate!].

Gilgamesh quickly prepared another strike, but Tannin was alert and used his tail to hit Gilgamesh, sending him flying.

In an instant, the King of Heroes regained his footing on the battlefield as he saw Tannin inflating his lungs.

The former Dragon King spread his wings and spewed an intense, massive amount of fire from his mouth.

Gilgamesh's eyes widened at the sight. Everything within his vision was covered by Tannin's flames advancing toward him.

Tannin's flames were extremely powerful, even by dragon standards. His flames were said to have the same impact as a meteor, earning him the title "Meteor Flame Dragon."

Gilgamesh quickly extended his hand toward the flames as his power surged.

"Let's do this, Ddraig. It'll be our first time testing this," said Gilgamesh, smiling.

[Alright!]

"Divide!"

[Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!]

Tannin's eyes widened as his flames had their power divided until they vanished completely.

"That's Albion's power," thought Tannin, smiling. It seemed this form could truly access the powers of the Two Heavenly Dragons.

Gilgamesh's aura began to intensify as several beings appeared around him, some white and others red.

They were small dragons the size of a hand, circling Gilgamesh.

The small white dragons, with a mental command from Gilgamesh, charged at Tannin.

The Dragon King looked curious at what he saw, sensing the Hakuryuukou's power in the white dragons and the Sekiryuutei's power in the red ones.

Not wanting to take risks, Tannin opened his mouth and fired several fire spheres at one of the dragons.

However, when the sphere hit the dragon, a light barrier appeared around it.

[Reflect!]

Instantly, the fire sphere was redirected back at Tannin, who couldn't react and was hit by his own attack.

[Reflect] was one of Albion's original abilities, allowing him to reflect attacks to a certain extent.

A small explosion of fire erupted when the strike hit Tannin, who, with a flap of his wings, cleared the smoke.

"What's that?" asked Tannin, perplexed by what he saw.

"These little dragons, called [Wyverns], were created by my power using Ddraig's power and the power I stole from Albion, but I think you've already figured that out," said Gilgamesh, smiling.

Tannin narrowed his eyes. "I see. So, the white ones can use the Hakuryuukou's power, and the red ones the Sekiryuutei's," analyzed Tannin.

Gilgamesh smiled at Tannin's accurate deduction. The white [Wyverns] could use [Divide] and [Reflect], while the red ones could use [Boost], [Transfer], and [Penetrate].

"Go," said Gilgamesh, extending his hand as the red dragons charged alongside the white ones.

The red dragons quickly advanced toward Tannin, covered in a red aura, and activated their power.

[Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!]

The auras of the small dragons suddenly intensified as red energy spheres, similar to [Dragon Shot], manifested in front of them and were fired at Tannin.

The former Dragon King quickly began dodging all the spheres, but he was caught off guard by what happened next.

The white dragons swiftly surrounded Tannin as the energy blasts collided with them, creating a wall of light.

[Reflect!]

The attack was reflected by the small dragon, hitting Tannin, who grunted in pain from the strike.

Growling, Tannin realized that if this continued, he would be defeated by the small dragons. Realizing this, Tannin expanded his aura and charged at the red dragons, attempting to destroy them.

However, before reaching them, the white dragons moved to the front.

[Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!] [Divide!]

Tannin's entire aura began to slowly fade as one of the Hakuryuukou's abilities was activated, the power to halve the opponent's strength.

Tannin prepared to charge, but his eyes widened as he sensed Gilgamesh right above him.

"Don't forget about me," said Gilgamesh, punching Tannin with such force that the Devil was sent crashing into the ground.

The red dragons quickly positioned themselves beside Gilgamesh.

[Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!] [Boost!]

The dragons' auras intensified as they approached Gilgamesh.

[Transfer!]

The immense aura was instantly transferred to Gilgamesh's body, who extended his hand, creating a massive crimson sphere of magical power.

Seeing the immense aura, Tannin prepared to attack, but the white dragons quickly surrounded him.
