One Day Later.
After his conversation with Akeno, Gilgamesh returned home to prepare for the next day, which was Observation Day, when parents visit the school to watch their children study.
When Gilgamesh arrived home, everything proceeded as usual. He trained Arthur and Xenovia in swordsmanship and was considering giving Ascalon to Xenovia. Gilgamesh also helped Le Fay with some magical issues and assisted Leonardo with his Longinus.
Currently, Gilgamesh was heading to school for another day of classes. Mordred and Le Fay had gone ahead as they had some tasks to handle in their classes.
Gilgamesh was still wondering when Gabriel would visit him, as Michael had mentioned.
Gilgamesh paused as he exited the school gate. He sensed a faint barrier around the area and a very familiar presence. It was subdued, which was natural since they were in a populated area. Gilgamesh looked around, noticing no humans nearby, and his eyes landed on a young man with silver hair and blue eyes, in his late teens to early twenties, leaning against the gate's walls. He was also looking at Gilgamesh, a mischievous smile growing on his face.
"Well, this is a surprise. I didn't expect you to approach me like this, my rival," Gilgamesh said as he walked toward the silver-haired man.
"Yeah, I wasn't planning on it either, but Azazel sent me to deliver a message. He also sent other messengers to the Demons and Heaven," the silver-haired man replied.
"Oh, and what message is so important that he'd send the strongest Hakuryuukou of all time to deliver it, Vali?" Gilgamesh asked Vali, the current and strongest Hakuryuukou, just as he was the current and strongest Sekiryuutei.
"It's about the conference. In the last few days, Azazel received information that a certain organization plans to attack the conference."
"A certain organization? That's pretty vague, isn't it?" Gilgamesh said, though he already knew who they were.
"It's the best we have. They're an elusive bunch. We only learned of their existence in the last two months and almost nothing since then. Well, I doubt they'd be able to do much anyway. The conference attendees include three leaders of the Three Factions, high-ranking subordinates, including me, and you, the King of Heroes, and your group. I can't imagine any organization, no matter how large, that could actually oppose us."
"True, in terms of power, we probably have the advantage. Still, to escape Azazel's information network, they must be quite skilled in terms of structure and intelligence. At the very least, we should keep our guard up."
"That's what Azazel said. Well, anyway, that's all I'm here for. I'll take my leave then. Unless, of course, you want to fight now?"
"Right before the conference? Yeah, that'll go over well with the leaders. Maybe another time."
"Pity. Well, for now, that's fine. But one day, we'll settle this rivalry."
"Of course. I wouldn't have it any other way."
Vali left, leaving Gilgamesh standing at the gate. Suddenly, as if by magic, the area around him was filled with humans—students leaving school, adults returning home from work. The barrier Vali had erected was gone.
Gilgamesh sighed before entering Kuoh Academy for another day of classes.
**Scene Change.**
Currently, in the classroom at Kuoh Academy, all the students were in class with the addition of their parents.
It was the day when parents and family members could visit the Academy to observe their children and relatives.
Gilgamesh was in the same class as Rias, Sona, Akeno, and Tsubaki.
At the back of the classroom were the students' parents, and Gilgamesh saw that Sirzechs Lucifer and Zeoticus Gremory were there with a camera, watching Rias.
The red-haired Maou stood at the back of the class, holding a video camera and pointing it entirely at his extremely embarrassed little sister, offering overly enthusiastic words of encouragement as if he were talking to a child rather than a girl nearing adulthood.
Gilgamesh genuinely felt sorry for his Devil classmate, whose face had turned as red as her hair, looking like she wanted a hole to open in the ground and swallow her.
Gilgamesh couldn't complain, as his friends were also there.
Arthur was in Le Fay's classroom, watching his sister, while Arturia, surprisingly, was in Mordred's classroom and introduced herself as her sister.
In Gilgamesh's classroom were Enkidu and Valerie. Sebas was in Asia's classroom since the girl had no relatives, and Karna had stayed home, looking after Fenrir. Tiamat was in the Underworld attending to her duties.
Enkidu kept waving and offering words of encouragement while Valerie laughed.
Gilgamesh snapped out of his thoughts and turned his attention back to the lesson.
This was promptly interrupted when the door opened with a loud sound, drawing everyone's attention.
Gilgamesh widened his eyes upon seeing who had entered.
It was a woman of unparalleled beauty who, unlike the Goddesses of Love, had a more innocent and mundane appearance. She wasn't a supernatural beauty whose existence defied nature, like the Goddesses of Beauty and Love who changed to suit others' tastes. She had curly blonde hair that shone like the sun, beautiful blue eyes that sparkled like sapphires and exuded innocence, and a jaw-dropping voluptuous figure that was as close to perfection as he had ever seen.
Even Sirzechs and Zeoticus couldn't hide their surprise at seeing who was there.
"That's what Michael meant…" Gilgamesh whispered to himself.
At the door, displaying her supernatural beauty, was Gabriel, one of the Seraphs and the Most Beautiful Woman in Heaven.
"Sorry for being late! I got lost on the way here! This school is much bigger than I thought!" Gabriel declared with a giggle.
Her appearance drew more than a few appreciative whistles from the boys in the class, though they quickly shrank under the harsh glares of their female classmates and mothers, sparing Gilgamesh the trouble of dealing with them himself.
"Um… Miss? Are you a relative of one of my students?" asked the teacher, still stunned by the beauty of the woman before her.
It was as if she had been personally crafted by God, and the teacher wasn't wrong.
"Yes!" said Gabriel with a smile as her eyes scanned the students until they landed on Gilgamesh. "Yoo-hoo, Gil!" she called in a sing-song voice, waving enthusiastically at him.
He buried his face in his hands as all attention turned to him.
"But I thought all of Gilgamesh's relatives were here," said the teacher, her gaze shifting to Enkidu and Valerie. "What are you to him?" she asked curiously.
Gabriel thought for a moment, recalling what her brother Michael had instructed her to say.
"I'm his girlfriend," Gabriel said innocently, as her brother had directed.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH!?" was the general reaction of the class, especially the girls.
"No way that jerk got such a beauty for himself…" said one of the boys.
"I can't believe the King of Kuoh has a girlfriend," said one of the girls sadly.
Valerie stared in the most perplexity, as she was Gilgamesh's girlfriend.
Well, technically, Tiamat was too.
Valerie's confusion vanished as quickly as it came when a mischievous smile appeared on her face as her mind worked on a plan to expand Gilgamesh's harem.
After all, it wasn't every day you saw an Angel in love.
Gilgamesh could only slam his head on the desk.
It was going to be a long day.
**Scene Change.**
It was in a state of exhaustion that Gilgamesh finally stumbled out of the classroom, with Gabriel, still smiling serenely as if she hadn't spent most of the class giving him a slowly worsening headache with her antics, right behind him.
"That was fun! Where are we going next?" she asked in a decidedly cheerful voice.
Gabriel quickly grabbed Gilgamesh's right arm and wrapped herself around it, as she had seen in a book.
Gilgamesh blushed at this; Gabriel was very unaware of her own beauty.
Gilgamesh sighed, noting that Enkidu and Valerie had gone to check on the others, giving Gilgamesh and Gabriel some time alone, though the King of Heroes suspected Valerie was plotting something, judging by her smile.
Gilgamesh turned his gaze to Gabriel and smiled, making the Seraph blush slightly.
"Let's go to the vending machine," said Gilgamesh, receiving a nod from Gabriel.
Gilgamesh didn't think a short walk from his classroom to the vending machine could be so painful, but the countless stares from the many students they passed proved him wrong.
All their eyes held the same question.
"Who was that foreign woman clinging to the King of Kuoh Academy?"
And when he reached the vending machine, naturally, he just had to run into the last group of people he wanted to meet right now.
"Ara, Gilgamesh, good morning. That was certainly a… interesting lesson, wasn't it?" Rias Gremory greeted him, accompanied by her Pawn.
"Not quite the word I'd use, Gremory. I could've done without the humiliation," he replied cordially.
"Ah, I know what you mean. At least you weren't alone in your suffering," she sighed.
"The enthusiastic redheads in your family, huh?"
Her face turned bright red again, and she quickly buried it in her hands, as he had been doing for the past hour.
"I… would appreciate it if you pretended you never saw that."
"If you do the same for me."
Gilgamesh turned his gaze to Issei and narrowed his eyes.
"Kid, if you don't stop staring at her chest, I'll beat you up," Gilgamesh said, having noticed Issei staring unblinkingly at Gabriel's breasts.
Issei's head snapped up, sweat forming on his forehead.
His King's hand quickly found his ear and began twisting it.
"Ow! Ow! Buchou, that hurts!"
"I'm sorry, Gilgamesh. My lovely junior here is a bit in touch with his libido," Rias apologized, using her grip on her Pawn's ear to force him to bow.
"Yeah, the whole school noticed," he replied dryly.
"So, who's your friend?" asked Rias, sensing an immense amount of holy power emanating from the woman, making Rias feel uneasy just looking at her.
"This is Gabriel, one of the Seraphs," said Gilgamesh, making Rias widen her eyes.
"Pleased to meet you," said Gabriel, smiling, completely oblivious to Issei still sneaking glances at her chest.
"A Seraph? Well, you were with the Church," said Rias, trying to make sense of the situation.
Everyone's attention was drawn to Kiba, who was approaching them.
"Oh, Buchou. Gilgamesh-senpai too? Ah, and this must be the mysterious girlfriend causing a stir at school."
"Ara, Yuuto. Here for a drink?"
"No, actually. I heard there was a Mahou Shoujo photoshoot in the hallway, so I was going to check it out."
"What?" asked Gilgamesh and Rias simultaneously.
**Scene Change.**
Everyone quickly headed toward the hallway where the Mahou Shoujo was.
Gilgamesh was with Gabriel by his side, and Rias was with Issei. Gilgamesh's friends were still doing their own things and wandering around the school.
When they reached the hallway, they were quickly blinded by bright flashes of white light. The group entered the hallway and found a crowd of students gathered around a stage, taking photos of someone dressed in a garish pink costume, striking poses with a wand in hand. She certainly looked and acted like a Mahou Shoujo, Gilgamesh admitted.
Though Gilgamesh acknowledged that the girl was extremely beautiful, he couldn't help but sigh, knowing she was one of the Underworld's leaders.
"Ack!" Rias let out a sound of shock upon seeing the Mahou Shoujo, confirming that she was at least a demon of substantially high standing, though he couldn't imagine why someone so important was dressed like that.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing!? This photoshoot isn't part of the class visit activities! Get out! Get out!"
Saji Genshirou, along with some other student council members who were also part of Sona Sitri's Peerage, appeared and ordered the gathered students to disperse. Many grumbled, but eventually, all the students left.
"And you, please don't wear such a costume on school grounds. Are you a relative of one of the students? There's a dress code for relatives visiting the school. Didn't you know?" Saji said with an exasperated voice.
"Ehh? But this is my uniform!" the Mahou Shoujo exclaimed while striking more poses, making Saji grit his teeth in frustration. That's when he noticed the approaching group.
"Oh, Rias-senpai and Gilgamesh-senpai too. Your timing is perfect. We were just escorting Maou-sama and Lord Gremory."
