TWO DAYS LATER
Aveline, with the help of Meredith, went into the recovery room of the driver to pay him a visit.
His wife was and two kids were in the room when they walked in.
"Hey, it's me. I wanted to apologise for–"
He reached out a hand to stop her before she could continue.
"It's fine. I'm fine. Very healthy. My kids are here." He pointed happily
Aveline turned to the two girls. "Hey, I'm Aveline."
The two girls introduced themselves with a smile on their faces.
Aveline felt warm on the inside. They were the cutest little things.
"Can I speak to you in private ma'am?" She asked the wife as she straightened up.
"Sure ma'am."
They stepped outside together.
"I really want to apologise for this entire situation. It's kinda my fault in a way. I asked him to speed up. I'm so–" she choked.
