Aveline was preparing for brunch the next morning when Meredith approached her.
"Sit," she said the moment she walked in.
Aveline lifted her head and saw she was without a trace of warmth in her face.
"Why are you acting so weird?" She questioned, continuing with lining her eyes.
"I said sit, Aveline. I'm serious."
"Can't you see I'm preparing to meet up with Mr Lee? Whatever you have to say, you either say it now or wait till I'm back. If I sit, I'm afraid I'd be too tired to stand up."
Meredith's head doubled back at her stubbornness, but she decided to let it go this once.
"I want to talk to you about what you told me you asked Atlas to do last night. Do you really see nothing wrong with that?"
She shrugged as she moved on to applying some gloss.
"I take that to mean you don't?"
"Nope. And why should I?"
"Because there's a child involved?!" She shook her head, wondering where all of this was coming from.
