Chapter 2 - Victoria Howard

In a place far away, far beyond the reach of many and the very place that Gyan and his mother originated from. The outline of a city could be seen. A city like no other. The city was seen hovering in the sky. The city was far more advanced than any other place. It could be described as a paradise on earth. It had a different atmosphere, and people were almost everywhere in the city, but it was a place few people knew about and could enter. The city was what could at best be described as a paradise on earth. There she was standing on the walls of the city. Her hair was white but she had a young face. She had both ancient and young eyes. In this place she existed as a god and a genie.

The breeze, carrying the scent of the earth, seemed to brush past her, and other girls' appearances faded in comparison. She wore a tight-fitting dress, a casual piece brought out for the season, yet on her, it looked like a masterpiece. As she gazed at the city, a smirk played on her lips, only to fade, replaced by a somber mood and a gaze that seemed to absorb all the city's colors. This beauty was Victoria Howard, the heiress of the Howard family, though others simply called her Vicky. Known as "the dream girl" by every man, her kindness and stunning looks were legendary, and she was said to be the epitome of perfection.

Her true character was a far cry from the best, especially within the City's Manor where she was a unique and isolated figure among the younger generation currently residing in the city. In that sprawling estate, no one could match her in beauty, wit, or strength. She moved with the skill of a grandmaster and fought with the expertise of a seasoned warrior. Despite her formidable talents, she was widely despised, particularly by the other young women residing in the Manor.

She was not the master of her own control and had just been forced to become engaged to athe heir of one of the prominent families,Sir Hutton of the Hutton family. He and the Hutton family were the most powerful entities within the city, and it was said they controlled the entire natural tree, a source of immense power. The Guardians were not involved in her matter, but the royal bloodline was dominated by four major families, each having their own royal bloodline. The Howard family, despite being strong, could not be marked as part of the royal bloodline and did not inherit the throne according to the rules of the city. The Huttons, Hills, and Guardiolas were the other families left out. The Guardiolas family had apparently no ties with anyone but the throne, but were now the reason for the city changing under the facade and were the unknown masters of the city. For this reason, the Howard family can only seek to patner with the Huttons. Since the two families were to come together in matrimony, Victoria and Sir Hutton were to come together, which was a chance for them to grow stronger. There was no hope for the two families but to merge. Just the sight of him made Victoria feel like puking. And yet she knew she had no choice. Did she really? Inwardly she knew that there was a second choice but was she really willing to take that risk. Would it be worth it? If that boy from ten years ago did it then what was stopping her. She knew that once she made the choice there was no turning back and she knew that if she did what she was thinking of doing then she might put her family at stake. It all came down to one thing, was she willing to leave everything behind for the sake of her family or was she willing to sacrifice her happiness and life for the sake of her family. She knew the choice that resides in her heart but even then she didn't feel like taking that chance. This was the only way she was going to escape all of this and she knew it. She looked at the bright sky just a few miles above and she knew that with just a little bit of effort she might reach the skies yet it seems that despite being born a genius and having everything she was still no different from those mortals. She was still a pawn in someone's hands and to make it worse she was a pawn in the hands of her family. Till when will she continue sacrificing everything for their sake? Were they really worth it? She could feel all the admiring gazes that were directed at her but she did not care about all of this. That boy from ten years ago was willing to sacrifice everything and gave up everything for a chance to get out of this place and he did not look back. He was already left out by his family ever since he was born and he knew that he would end up becoming a tool for his family so he was unwilling. He left everything and risked his life to escape from this prison that bound them but Victoria did not believe for a second that she would be able to make the same choice. As she was lost in her thoughts, a female dressed in a silver armour appeared behind her. She did not even notice that she had already silently appeared behind her seemingly still trying to come up with a solution. She knew that even if she escaped, her family would just lose face and nothing major could happen. The foundation of the founding families ran deep and despite not being able to access some of the top secrets of the family she had an oversight of how strong her family was. She knew that this was her time and there was no need to hesitate. The resolve in her eyes grew firm. She was a martial arts grandmaster at an age of 15 so she knew that she would not find another chance if she missed this chance then she might just resolve herself to stay in this hell for her whole lifetime. After a while, a soft sigh escaped from her lips and she restrained her aura but there was a flame flickering in the depths of her eyes. She knew what she wanted and she was going to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Her plan was set but she made sure to leave a backup plan for herself. No plan was perfect unless you were strong enough to overcome all the challenges that came with a perfect plan." Is everything ready?" Victoria asked as she finally turned around." Yes. Everything is in place. As long as you say the word our men will be ready," the silver armoured woman said. What happened to be a slight curve happened to appear on Victoria's face. She knew that this was what she had been waiting for." Good. We will make a move as soon as the sun sets and the full moon reaches its apex," Victoria said as she made her way towards her family's castle.
