Shit! That look again. It always makes me feel creepy inside. I only asked a simple question yet he almost wanted to strangle me because of it," Ryan said to himself as he wiped out the cold sweat drops on his forehead. He took out his phone and took a selfie of himself before he also entered the classroom. Despite sounding like a womanizer, Ryan had only one girlfriend and he was loyal to her. The two of them had even at one point become the couple of the year and are so far considered the oldest couple in the school.
After arriving in the classroom, Gyan took a seat at the very back of the class. His arrival did not go unnoticed as so many people stared at him but after seeing that it was Gyan, they shifted back to their conversations.
Gyan was apparently used to this so after sitting down he closed his eyes. After a few minutes Ryan entered the classroom and was about to go and sit next to Gyan but just then spotted a beautiful face seated alone in one of the front seats. There was an empty seat next to her. Ryan saw her and decided to forget about Gyan as he made his way to the seat next to her. The girl had green eyes while her hair was tied to a ponytail. The girl was the current heiress of the Grey's family and was Ryan lover's or fiancée as he preferred to boast about it in front of Gyan and some of his friends. Unlike Gyan who was introverted, Ryan was an extrovert who loved socializing with different kinds of people.
Ryan sneakily scurried next to the girl and closed her eyes using his hands. The girl was taken aback for a moment before a smile appeared on her face. "Take a guess," Ryan whispered into her ears. "Ryan," Hynah said as she gently removed the hands covering her eyes. Ryan hoped into the seat and sat down with a smile as he stared at Hynah lovingly making her blush. Ryan stared at her seemingly in a daze making her face turn red. "Stop that," Hynah said shyly as she tried to shift Ryan's gaze to stop him from staring at her. Ryan coughed lightly as he neared her and whispered a few words to her. He made sure not to forget to steal a kiss from her cherry red lips. "What are you doing? We are in class and everyone is watching," Hynah said as she wished to find a hole and bury her head. Luckily no one noticed or maybe they had already gotten used to such a scene.
At this point, Gyan had both eyes closed as if he were asleep. Their class was the best in the school with most of the students scoring A grades and it was also the class where the school new President was from. After everyone was seated and waiting for the teacher to arrive, a young woman got up from her seat and headed towards where Gyan was seated. Gyan caught the scent of her sweet aroma and her movement. A young woman who was around sixteen years old was standing in front of him. She had an average height neither short nor tall, a rosy appearance and had a well-proportioned body with the curves evident. She had red moist lips with a blonde hair coupled with green eyes.
She had a seductive and an alluring appearance that was coupled with a dignified and elegant aura surrounding her. "Can I seat next to you?" she asked with a very charming voice. The young woman was the school president and the dream girl of many of the boys in school. She had many suitors chasing after her but she did not have anyone she was interested in as many had tried proposing to her but she turned them all down. Gyan could feel many eyes peering daggers at him wishing to attack him even with his eyes closed. He pretended that he did not see any of them and allowed her to occupy the seat closest to him. It just had to be a coincidence that she always sat next to Hynah but today the seat was occupied by Ryan.
He then opened his closed eyes and stared at Ryan with narrowed gaze. Seemingly feeling his gaze, Ryan turned to stare at him and winked. The school president's name was Charlotte and she was from the Carter's family. Gyan had once saved her when she had almost had an accident and since then she couldn't get him out of her head.
Gyan was the only person in the whole school who stared at her differently and always appeared cold and indifferent even to a beauty like her. No matter how much she tried getting closer to him, he always acted like a dimwit who could not read through the lines. Gyan always treated everyone equally. Ryan excluded as he was the only person who could speak more than a hundred sentences with Gyan. To Gyan this was just how he was and he couldn't change how his personality all of a sudden. He knew the burden that he was carrying was heavy. He knew that despite having left that place ten years ago, he was not totally safe. Charlotte was only a young woman from the Carter's family so she couldn't understand the dread that place held and the shadow it casted over Gyan's life. Before he was strong enough, economically and physically, Gyan did not dare to return to that place as of now.
He knew that relationships as of now would only make him weak so he opted to being lonely. So what if she was a beauty? She didn't know the meaning of sacrifice and she didn't know the pressure that Gyan was under. She couldn't understand the demons that he was fighting. This was a fight that he was going to fight alone. Even his mother was not involved in this and it would remain that way.
If the skies were to collapse then he would hold it all by himself and support his family as he did ever since ten years ago when he escaped from that place tired of proving his worth to people who did not deserve it.
