Lex Luthor leaned back in his chair, a playful expression on his face as he toyed with the Red Kryptonite in his hand, his mind far from scientific pursuits.
A week had passed since his brother left, and there had been no news, which caused Lex some worry.
Bizarro was still behind him, watching cartoons.
Julie, transformed into the Bat-Monster, was locked in a cage, roaring.
Everything seemed unchanged, except for the absence of a certain tall, blond-haired young man.
"Tap, tap~"
The crisp sound of sneakers echoed on the floor. Lex's somber expression brightened instantly, but he quickly suppressed his excitement.
Through the darkened computer screen, he saw the familiar figure standing not far away.
Bizarro, with a goofy grin, rushed towards the figure but was pushed aside.
"My brother, it's been a week since you left."
"Really?" Geno held a red apple he had just taken from the manor, biting into it with a smile. "But for me, it's only been a day. It seems the time flow in our universe is seven times faster than the outside universe."
Lex Luthor swiveled his chair to better observe Geno.
His brother was still the same, seemingly carefree and unconcerned about everything.
Lex Luthor clasped his hands together and nodded slightly, saying, "So, what did you gain this time?"
"What did I gain?" Geno chuckled, then, under Lex Luthor's gaze, pulled a phone from his pocket and placed it on the computer.
With a flash of blue electricity, the lights in the underground laboratory went out.
Bizarro's frustrated lament echoed from the darkness: "Power outage! Bizarro angry!"
Geno snapped his fingers again.
"Singer, turn on the lights."
The underground laboratory was illuminated once more, the lights flickering back to life.
"So, it's some kind of artificial intelligence device?" Lex Luthor speculated, frowning.
"No, it's a technological intelligent life form, the 'Singer'. My assistant can easily hack into any network or private computer on Earth."
Geno snapped his fingers. "Singer, display Gotham City's surveillance footage, and locate Batman."
The Singer's words faded, and the previously dark screen lit up. It quickly projected a scene of Gotham City.
In a grimy alley, Bruce Wayne, in his Batsuit, was taking on ten members of a local Gotham gang.
Clearly, after Geno's "loving guidance," Bruce had made rapid progress, with leaps in both his fighting skills and combat strategy.
Geno snapped his fingers, "Singer, access Clark's computer hard drive."
"Accessing," a cold, emotionless female voice responded. Soon, a long list of video files appeared on the large screen.
Lex Luthor looked thoughtfully at the computer screen. "Hmm, bad student and good principal. Clark has a unique taste."
"Alright, end the intrusion."
The sentient being from Cybertron quickly terminated the access to Clark's computer files.
Geno looked at Lex Luthor and chatted, "So, what's been happening while I was gone?"
"The town's still the same," Lex replied, tossing aside the Red Kryptonite. "But recently, Wayne Enterprises sent an exploration team to build a quarry on the western edge."
"Wayne Enterprises?" Geno raised an eyebrow. The quarry was probably just a front. As a severe late-stage paranoid, Bruce's main goal was likely to monitor and gather information about Clark.
"But the interesting thing is, Wayne Enterprises' construction isn't going smoothly," Lex said with a gloating tone. "There's a group of Native Americans living on the west side, and they're not accepting the exorbitant compensation Wayne Enterprises is offering."
"There's been a lot of fuss in town about this recently." Geno sighed, "Native Americans are not easy to deal with."
Speaking of Native Americans, Geno's expression became even stranger. Everyone knew that America's original land belonged to the Native Americans, but the despicable Anglo-Saxons used various methods to drastically reduce the number of the numerous Native Americans.
This also caused the Native Americans to distrust Americans, filled with hatred and vigilance.
Late night, the western land of the town.
The Wayne Enterprises logo hung over the land.
Excavators, bulldozers, and heavy trucks were parked on the desolate ground.
The factory's director stood on the barren land, blueprints in hand, pondering where to begin construction.
He felt a chill run down his back and turned around, only to see an old man wearing a traditional Native American headdress standing behind him, his expression cold.
Seeing the old man, the director was quite troubled, covering his forehead with one hand and complaining, "I told you, this land has already been approved and allocated to us by the relevant departments."
"If you want us to withdraw or leave, you should go protest to the relevant departments!"
The old man stared at the man with a resolute gaze, shaking his head, "Our ancestors have lived here for thousands of years. It originally belonged to us; it was you who seized this land."
"The facts have been made clear. It's you who are unwilling to accept compensation, so don't bother me, get out! Chief." The project director impatiently reached out to push the Native American elder away.
"You don't understand the consequences of your actions!" The old Chief stepped forward, his hand clamping onto the man's neck and slamming him against the wire fence.
"So you're threatening me?" The person in charge's expression turned sour as he reached for his phone in his pocket.
"No, I'm just an old man offering a friendly reminder. This land belongs to the Native Americans."
The old man released the fence, gave the person in charge a long look, and then turned and left.
The cold wind of the late night blew. The person in charge muttered a curse about lunatics before stepping towards the tent behind him.
"Rustle…"
The movement coming from the forest made the man stop.
He turned to look at the dense forest behind him, his face filled with caution. "Who's there?"
Only the rustling of bushes disturbed the inky black night.
Even more unsettling, a mournful, ancient howl echoed from all directions, its source unknown.
Fear began to bloom, and his feet instinctively retreated.
"W-what is that!"
The man's eyes were glued to the undergrowth.
The ground shuddered as the branches shook.
He watched a massive white claw slowly emerge from the bushes.
"Oh my God."
Mouth agape, expression shocked.
In the dense forest, a giant, silvery-white Giant White Wolf, over ten meters tall, lifted its head against the night sky. Its long, white fur flowed with the gentle breeze, giving it a majestic appearance.
The brown eyes of the beast stared fixedly at the man, its limbs tensed, and its body lowered as if preparing to pounce.
The huge, snow-white tail swayed slightly as the Giant White Wolf bared its fangs, revealing rows of sharp, white teeth.
"Aroooo!"
As the Giant White Wolf sprinted forward, the shrill scream of the construction site manager echoed through the night sky.
