"I don't think your ex-husband likes seeing me with you," said Tyler, his voice a little hoarser than usual. "Maybe he was jealous."
Eva scoffed before she shook her head.
"He's not jealous," she replied stiffly.
Tyler seemed to disagree but once he opened his mouth to speak, Eva interrupted by changing the subject.
Talking about Dante's jealousy made her stomach recoil.
It was already late at night, and she had important tasks to attend to the next day.
"Your manager has already been contacted and he should be here soon," she said. "I'm glad that you didn't suffer too many injuries and I'll completely understand if you want to sue me."
Tyler stared at her for a few seconds without saying a word. His nose was all bandaged up. He'd been attacked and any other person in his shoes would sue.
He shook his head. "I won't sue you, Eva. We're friends," he claimed.
Eva's skin prickled at those words but she didn't say anything. She was too tired to be shocked.
