"You're in a good mood."
Lola's brows twitched at the sound of Atlas's voice beside her. Her lips stretched into a smile as she played with her spoon in her bowl, her gaze drifting toward the people gathered in the large dining room where everyone was about to eat dinner.
Everyone, including Atlas.
"Hehe. I had an interesting realization today," she said, leaning her shoulder against him. When she caught the curiosity in his eyes, she added, "Baby, I think I finally understand why I don't like Scarlet… and why you trust her. Which answer do you want first?"
Atlas leaned back slightly, thinking for a moment. "The first one."
He already had an idea what her answer would be. His wife had always been an open book to him, more so now that they were married.
"Because…" Lola trailed off as she glanced around the dining area, packed with starving members of the Order after a full day of work… and searching for Lola.
