Chapter 32 - Capítulo 32

Hey guys, I was supposed to upload a chapter yesterday, but I didn't because my eyes were hurting, so I rested them. Actually, I only logged on for a little while yesterday to look at a few things and then left Webnovel, and that was mostly out of habit.

I'm writing all this now wearing reading glasses, since my eyes felt like I'd inhaled some serious cocaine.

That's all I had to say; on to the chapter.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

While I was signing the paperwork for the construction of my drug factory—I mean, candy store—an uninvited guest appeared in my office.

A red-haired blur appeared as if it could pass through walls and tangible objects.

"Miyu, do you know what day it is today?" she asked excitedly.

My eyes were empty, dark, and tired since my days had been busy and I'd been using my shadow clones for training, so my original body had been handling the paperwork.

"No, I don't know and I don't care," I replied, moving on to the next document, which I had to read about three times to make sure I didn't miss any details.

"Today is the day Minato returns to the village, isn't that great?" Her energy was enviable, and as far as I know, it's not related to the amount of chakra, since I should have more energy than I do now if that were the case.

"Oh, good for him," I said listlessly, noticing that some contractor had submitted a larger budget than I'd mentioned; that's suspicious. I think she wants me to torture him.

Kushina, seeing my lack of enthusiasm for the situation, could only puff out her cheeks in disgust. Without me realizing what was happening, the tomato-headed girl was already grabbing my arm and shaking me like I was a tree trying to knock off the fruit at its top.

"Come on, Miyu, don't be mean, weren't I your teammate?" Her eagerness to see her boyfriend was something I, at least, didn't understand.

"Yes, he's my teammate, but what does that have to do with anything? We have nothing in common; besides, I already said it was good that he arrived, what more does she want me to do?" I already knew what she wanted me to do, and that was to accompany her when Minato arrived.

I knew Kushina was bored; His life is controlled within the barrier that prevents the Nine-Tails from running wild inside Kushina's seal, which means he can't leave the village to undertake higher-ranking missions.

This is an impediment to becoming Hokage, but my question is: Why the hell does he have that kind of seal and not another? I imagine it's because of the Nine-Tails' immense power.

To make things a little less bad, I gave her a B-rank mission, fully paid, which involved teaching and training the basic skills of the Chinoiken clan ninjas.

Kushina just stuck her tongue out at me mockingly and left.

I simply ignored her and continued with the little scam one of the people I'd hired was pulling on me. I think I'll be able to christen my new personal torture and interrogation room.

Hehehe.

...

"This data makes no sense," I said, throwing the papers on the table.

"Well, it's rather complicated to calculate and see an individual's spirit, kukuku," the sannin said.

""And if you keep quiet, since your comments are useless—in fact, you haven't done anything this month—are you perhaps conducting a different investigation in parallel to this one, secretly?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.

Pedomaru remained silent, his face expressionless.

Suspicious.

I just sighed, stood up, and left.

"Are you leaving?" he asked.

"I'm going to buy some candy to calm my nerves," I replied, heading back out to find a store that would meet my needs.

Right now, we're at a standstill. Our research so far has revealed that each individual's compatibility depends on the individual.

For example, a ninja might have better compatibility with one bloodline limit than another. If I'm talking to myself, ignoring the wood element, I have greater compatibility with the ice element than with the scorching element.

I have a theory that this influences your chakra nature, but we're still studying it. That's it.

But that doesn't mean we haven't yet achieved what we want, which is for any ninja to have any bloodline limit.

But right now, I see that point as a bit far off.

We could do something horrible, like have these bloodline-limited users reproduce with village ninjas and have ninjas with special abilities, but that's a terrible idea, at least for me, and if I can, I'm going to avoid it, since it would make me look bad.

As I walked back to the village, I remembered what happened when Minato arrived.

When he arrived, he was accompanied by Jiraiya, who expected people to be waiting for him, only to find that the only person there was Kushina.

Neither Kosuke, nor Tsunade, nor Pedomaru, nor I was there to greet him; only Kushina was.

Upon Minato's arrival, Jiraiya asked the monkey to re-evaluate his abilities to see his current level.

This made him... He underwent some jōnin-level tests to see if he was ready to move up in rank, which he successfully achieved; this was due to an important fact, the Hiraishin.

During his training with the toads, Minato never stopped studying the Flying Thunder God Technique, which he managed to learn and partially master during his training.

This allowed him to become a jōnin at the age of 15, a great achievement for a civilian ninja.

Just so you know, Kosuke is a tokubetsu jōnin since he's at the level of one, but because he only focuses on his fire element, the monkey believes he still lacks something to be a jōnin. So, until he can diversify a bit more or achieve something truly remarkable, he'll remain in that position, something I like to tease him about, especially now that Minato has surpassed him.

As I walked through the streets, ignoring the other citizens, I saw Kushina and Minato talking and hanging out together.

Without wasting any time, I ran over to where they were.

"Look who's there, my favorite couple," I declared, making space between them and placing my forearm on each of their necks.

"What are you saying? Aren't we a couple?" Kushina protested nervously, her face flushed.

"Miyu, it's been so long," Minato said with a smile, as I hadn't seen him since he left. Yes, you heard right; I hadn't seen him even once since he arrived.

"If I've been busy, you have no idea; I think I'll have gray hair by the time I'm 20 if I keep this up. I need a vacation."

"What are you talking about? You leave the most tedious and annoying work to Tsunade or Hitori," Kushina countered, something I decided to ignore.

"Well, I was looking for both of you," I said, "mainly Minato, for something I've been working on, something I don't mind sharing."

"I'm looking for you both." They both stared at me, as if deciding whether to follow me or not.

"Well, we were just going for a walk, so I don't think there would be a problem with following you for now." Kushina's words sounded like a lie to me, but I didn't really care, since they were going to follow me anyway.

"Great, I'll lead the way."

...

The three of us stared at the scroll for a good while, as if we knew what we were doing.

"I think this matrix is written incorrectly," Kushina said.

"It's not right, but I think the competition and the positioning of everything are odd," Minato replied.

"I already checked that, and it should work according to my calculations," I told him.

"You told me you made this inspired by the Flying Thunder God Technique, right?" Minato asked.

"The basic idea," I replied.

This was the seal I had been working on, inspired by the signature jutsu currently wielded by the blond ninja.

The seal was based on the opposite action of the Flying Thunder God Technique; if the jutsu made you go to a point marked by the seal, mine was based on bringing anything that had the seal. Like the reverse action.

"Hmm, this is more complicated than reversing the direction of the Flying Thunder God Technique," Minato commented, one hand on his chin and the other on his elbow.

"Perhaps your mistake is thinking of this as a form of the Flying Thunder God Technique," Kushina remarked, prompting both of us to stare at her strangely.

This caused Kushina to back away.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" the tomato-colored girl asked.

"Nothing, it's just that we keep forgetting that you think," I said, just to tease her, which caused her to lunge at me, trying to knock me down.

While the two of us wrestled on the ground, Minato continued staring at the scroll, completely oblivious to what we were doing.

"I think your big problem is thinking of this jutsu as something related to the Flying Thunder God Technique and not as something new," he stated, offering his deduction.

"You think so?" I asked, with Kushina lying on the ground, defeated, her tongue lolling out, and an 'X' instead of her irises.

"Yes, because you think of another technique when developing and applying it, you make a mistake or a flaw in its execution; after all, however different it may sound, marking something and going towards it is very different from marking it and having it go where you are," Minato said.

What he said got me thinking a lot, and maybe he's right; maybe this attempt is imitating the Flying Thunder God Technique and is expecting me to do something different instead of taking the basics of it to create something new.

"In other words, will I have to do everything again?" I questioned.

"Not everything; you can continue from the basics of the Flying Thunder God Technique and start from there," Minato said.

"So, start all over again?" I declared, throwing myself onto the couch to meditate, knowing that I'd been doing something wrong for about a year this whole time.

If we count the use of clones as added time, it would be maybe 4 or 5 wasted years.

...

And so, using the element of fire, I burned all the progress I had made, which can hardly be called progress, since I didn't get anywhere.

Luckily, Minato volunteered his free time to help me with this.

I had to take the Flying Thunder God Technique, understand it in its most basic form, and take what was useful from the process of its creation, using Tobirama's notes.

While all this was happening, the team that the three of us had with Jiraiya, you could say, died, or at least that's how I see it. The perverted sage says it's defunct since he, along with the monkey, thinks we were one of the best possible teams of three or four individuals, so if something important comes up, something like a ninja war, it will have to be reformed.

This led Minato to migrate to other teams for missions since neither Kosuke nor I were available. Well, it was mostly me, but Kosuke was also busy scratching his balls, since I don't know what the Uchiha police force was supposed to be doing other than sucking each other off and arresting drunks.

Not to mention that every now and then I'd run into him while walking around the village, like he wasn't doing anything, but when I asked him about it, he'd start saying things as if he'd discovered the cure for cancer.

And while all that was going on, I continued with my business and training.

Regarding my training, I'm currently at 73% of my father's jutsu, which, I admit, I haven't dedicated much time to, but that's mainly because we're in a period of relative calm right now.

The Second Shinobi World War roared like a piece of hot magma erupting from a volcano: at first, a lot of chaos and fire, but as everything progressed, it cooled down until it died down, leaving behind a stone in a slightly different world. That was the Second Shinobi World War; So far, nothing has happened; everything has been quiet, not unlike the other villages preparing for the next one.

Luckily, I know when the Third Shinobi World War will happen, so by then, I'll have already learned my father's technique.

As for my technique, so far, everything's gone wrong. I've managed to do what I wanted, but with one problem: I have to use hand seals to summon them.

Let me describe the technique: I have four seals, which I can use to mark each object. If I want to make them appear, I have to use a different set of hand seals for each one.

Basically, it's awful. It's like having a scroll, opening it, sealing something, then unsealing it, and using it. The idea is that with just the seal, it appears, ignoring the need to open the scroll and all that.

Not to mention, I have a limit to the number of objects I can seal.

I never thought I'd do something this badly. This might work for someone else, but not for me.

As for my business, everything has been going incredibly well. The greenhouse is ready; at first, it felt strange that I didn't have anyone working inside, but after a little recruitment, along with a few free houses, I had staff to work there.

Not long ago, the first batches of plants, vegetables, and fruits were produced and sold like hotcakes. The profits were sky-high, and being a good trader, I sold everything for as much as I could. This allowed me to continue with my other businesses, if all goes well.

This opens the door to doing other things, but for now, I'll leave it at that, since I'm looking into my not-so-legal drug factory right now.

But if everything goes well, I think I can start acquiring the other resources of the Land of Fire little by little and then go global and do the same in other countries, thus creating the largest trading company in the world, controlling all the income, resources, and money in this world.

I don't know what the future holds, but I don't want to jinx it and say that everything will be alright, but I think everything is fine so far.
