Demon Rain was known as one of the seven ancient disasters of man. It could end and start empires. Wiping out entire civilizations was possible. Long ago, a powerful evil shaman created the Seven Demon spells that could be used to summon the seven ancient disasters. The spells were later lost, and they had not been seen for the past five hundred years.
The reason for these spells becoming almost forgotten arts had to do with the Avalon Society, which sought to wipe out these kinds of spells that brought nothing but death to the world. These spells were called Forbidden Spells, and the Avalon Society hunted down and killed anyone who used a spell listed as Forbidden. The spells were confiscated and burned, forever removing them from the world.
When Cate was reborn, she had the luck to be reborn in the Danescu clan. This was a powerful clan of evil sorcerers, and they had many forbidden spells. The Danescu Grimoire had all seven demon spells written clearly. Cate had begun learning these spells the moment she got her hands on the grimoire. Unfortunately, these seven spells could only be used by supreme magicians and those more powerful.
This was the first time Cate was using one of these spells. Demon rain fell in a radius of two kilometers. Each drop was a disaster to the world. The werewolves that had been rushing over to aid their brethren had no choice but to first deal with the demon rain. Nesiamun dodged as best he could, but the raindrops were closely packed, and soon he found himself being struck tens of times per second.
The blows were so powerful that they left holes in his body. Even with his powerful healing ability, he found himself lacking as his blood pooled on the ground and flowed away with the water. The werewolf was in an even worse condition since her healing ability was not as fast. The intensity of the rain kept on increasing, and this was when Nesiamun finally began thinking about the possibility of dying in this place and whether it was worth it in order to attempt to get revenge for his wife.
The werewolf, on the other hand, did not think about anything and simply pushed forward with her attack on Cate. She allowed herself to be riddled with holes, and in exchange, she managed to get her hands around Cate's neck and pull her head off after that. "I do not know why you chose to come after me, but you should have confessed to making sure that you have the power to kill me," Cate's severed head said.
The werewolf was caught off guard by this. There were many supernaturals in the world, and yet very few could survive having their heads ripped off. Even the vampires that claimed to be immortal were not truly immune from death by decapitation, unless they were direct descendants of one of the vampire gods or extremely ancient, making their power out of this world. Nesiamun was over three thousand years old, and yet he could not survive having his head cut off.
The werewolf panicked and threw the head to the side. Before her head reached the ground, Cate's torso moved and grabbed her head, putting it back in place as though nothing had just happened. At this point, it became clear to Nesiamun that he would not taste victory this day. He immediately merged with the shadows of the world and left this place as fast as he could. The werewolf did the same.
"The vampire is more dangerous," Cate thought as she conjured a raging ball of green flames that she threw at the moving shadows. "Waaahabaaaa," Nesiamun cried out in pain, but he did not stop his escape. In the blink of an eye, he was gone and the werewolf was escaping over the hills. Cate still had no idea why the werewolf had come after her. At least for Nesiamun, it was clear that he wanted revenge.
By the time the Demon Rain stopped, the earth had been battered to such a point that new streams were formed and the nearby rivers were inflicted with the change in the gradient of the earth. Cate used a few minutes to cast a spell that put her car back together. For a mortal machine such as this, repairs were very simple. Cate got in her car and sped away, headed to the boxing match she had been invited to by the Scion of the Staranse Mage clan.
Having blown off some steam with the fight, Cate felt a whole lot better. Her car was fast enough that she managed to reach her destination in a few minutes. It was a small house that could best be described as a shack. Galeazzo Staranse stood outside the shack with the twins, Svyatoslav and Agrafena. The twins were eating some kind of snack from the same bag, and Galeazzo simply stood there waiting for Cate.
It was clear that he was impatient. He had his hands crossed over his chest, and his eyes were focused on the small road that led to the house. "I see that you have finally seen fit to grace us with your presence," Galeazzo said. The displeasure in his voice was clear for all. "I had to deal with a few pests along the way. They were truly persistent."
Cate was sure that Galeazzo already knew what she had to deal with; after all, he was the one who started all this by publicly announcing her name. He had to have known that Cate had more than a few people wanting to kill her. Galeazzo did not respond. Cate looked at the small house and smiled. With her eyes, she easily saw through the magic that covered the shack.
Galeazzo led Cate into the small house, and there they entered an underground facility where they found a bull-headed supernatural. This was a Minotaur. They were rare, but more than a few of them existed in the world. "Invitation," the Minotaur demanded. It was clear that if anyone entered this hall without having an invitation, they would not be leaving this place alive.
Galeazzo and the twins handed over their invitations. The Minotaur nodded before he put them to the side. He then looked at Cate, who handed over the invitation she got from Galeazzo. It was the letter with the omega symbol. Cate felt that something was wrong, but she did not think too much about the matter. Now that she was here, it was too late to turn back.
The Minotaur looked at the letter, a kind of glow increasing Cate's suspicions. "You can go in," he said. The red door behind the Minotaur opened, and the group of four entered. "I do not know what you are planning, but I hope you are not trying to fuck me over. My temper is not so good, especially when I am betrayed," Cate said before she entered the corridor beyond.
"When I want to fuck you, you will know immediately," Galeazzo said. The twins laughed at this.
