[TO THE SAFE HOUSE]
(SCENE)
James had finally left the ruins and asked Ein if he knew of a place where they could go to get stronger without drawing attention to themselves, so he could exact his revenge on those who betrayed him, and on Fae, who had slit Clover's throat before throwing her into the ruins.
(SCENE)
Ein told Jamds that he should learn how to use his flight skill sooner rather than later, as it would allow them to travel around faster, and would be useful if he ever needed to escape from somewhere.
James said to Ein that that was probably a good idea, and since their out of the ruins, it would be better to learn.
James opened his system window on the skills section and saw the flying skill. He activated the skill, and his body slightly changed due to its effects. James became slightly taller and felt slot lighter after the skill had activated.
James asked Ein what he was supposed to do, as he didn't know how to fly. Ein told James that to fly, there are many methods, but the easiest would be jumping into the air and thinking or imagining a bubble of mana is around you, and you can glide or swim through it.
James did as Ein asked and proceeded to jump into the air and imagine the bubble.
When James jumped, he saw that he was using a lot of mana, but he could actually fly quite easily.
James asked Ein why his mana use was so high, and Ein told him that it was because the bubbles he made were too thin, and said that there are many ways to improve this and other methods that use less mana, but need him to have better control of his body.
James asked how he could improve his current method, and Eim told him that if he imagined the thinnest layer possible, that he could of mana compressed on his body, it would use less mana. James tried out what Ein said and saw that he used ten times less mana when doing it that way, and still had good control over his body, though the mana bubble was thicker and more compressed.
James got curious and asked what the most efficient way and method to fly with the most control would be, and Ein told James that if he envisioned a thin mana circle around his body, that would be the most efficient way of flying.
Jame tried it out and surprisingly got the hang of it pretty fast. After learning how to fly, James asked Eim why he could just fly like that without the skill, and Ein told him that the skill changes his body, which allows it to handle flying, while normal human bodies can't.
(SCENE)
James took a short break after learning how to fly and asked Ein where the place they had talked about had been, and Ein gave him the directions to where they were supposed to go.
James set off in the direction Ein had told him to go. As James was flying through the sky, he saw many weird structures while going towards the safe house Ein had told him of.
(5 MINS LATER)
James got to the location that Ein had told him to go to, and around the area, a few miles away, was a demi-human village.
James paid no mind to the demi-human village as he wanted to get to the safe house Ein had told him of, before looking around the general area.
(SCENE)
James finds a building sticking out of the forest after flying past the demi-human village. He asks Ein if that had been the place he could use as his base for the time being, and Ein told him that it was.
James began to levitate when he got closer to the building, until he eventually touched the ground and had a chance to look at his future base.
James looked forward and saw an old cabin-type 2-story house. James asked Ein if that was his old safe house, and was told that it is and advised to go into it.
James made his way into the house and was instantly teleported to the basement of the building. When James asked Ein what was going on, he told James that he had been teleported to the house's training room in the basement.
(SCENE)
James looked around the basement training room and saw a lot of machines and wooden weapons to train with, along with an area that had isolation area for cultivation and mana training, and magic theory books.
James immediately went to check out the magic, as it was what fascinated him most, and because he had skills that allowed him to have an astronomical amount of mana.
In the room that had the magic books, Ein told James that he should look for time magic, as it would be useful to him, and since he has a lot of mana, he would be able to use it to a greater degree than the average person, who can at best stop time for a second.
(SCENE)
James looked around for time magic books and found 4 different books. The first of the books James found taught theory on how to speed up time for oneself so that time seems slowed. The other 3 books had been hardcover methods on how to stop time within a given area, and how to stop time everywhere, along with the last book being about how to traverse back through time.
James read through all the books and thought that the content was easy enough, and even thought that he could use the time reversal magic to go back through time so he could save Clover, however Ein told James that time reversal magic only takes ones consciousness back through time and they'd loss all their skills and would have a way of coming back into the future.
James then dismissed his idea of trying to use time reversal magic to save Clover and decided to go into the mana training room so he could practice time magic.
