Chapter 10 — Gojo Satoru
With his Cursed Technique already activated and a long katana drawn, Zenin Kyūjō gently pushed open the classroom door and stepped inside.
Scattered across the floor and ceiling were five grotesque clumps of "red tomato sauce"—a grotesque byproduct formed by a Special Grade Cursed Spirit using pure malice as its base.
Kyūjō raised his katana and calmly pointed it at the trembling boy before him.
"Step away," he said softly.
But the black-haired boy with a timid, innocent-looking face—Yuta Okkotsu—kept retreating in fear, mumbling anxiously under his breath.
"Please… don't come any closer… I really don't want to hurt anyone…"
"Rika… please… stop killing people…"
Kyūjō blinked in surprise.
Such vast Curse Energy—an ocean without end. Before seeing him in person, Kyūjō had assumed the boy himself had been the one controlling a Special Grade Curse to attack civilians.
But now… it seemed far more complicated than that.
Could it be that the Special Grade Curse had latched onto this gifted child and had been feeding off his Curse Energy for years?
Of course, Kyūjō wasn't exactly a specialist in cursed spirits, so he wasn't too confident in that theory either.
But something definitely didn't add up.
— — —
As he took another step forward, "Rika"—the Special Grade Curse—suddenly surged into view, reacting violently to protect Yuta's life.
"Yuta… Yuta… I won't let anyone hurt you!!"
The Cursed Spirit fully materialized—Rika Orimoto.
Her massive, alien-like body loomed several stories high, and in an instant, she unleashed her power and obliterated the entire school building around Kyūjō.
Chunks of ceiling and reinforced concrete rained down like meteors.
But Kyūjō didn't flinch.
With a swift leap, he launched himself into the air, rising to meet the monstrous spirit face-to-face. Then he swung his katana with a loud, sharp strike.
Sparks burst from the blade as it carved into her neck—but the cursed flesh only gave way slightly before stopping the slash cold, less than ten centimeters in.
Kyūjō frowned.
He pulled the blade back and kicked off mid-air with enough force to shatter the air around him, blasting himself higher to avoid a massive claw swipe that nearly clipped his side.
Hovering above the spirit, Kyūjō watched it writhe and snarl below him.
He stroked his chin, thinking carefully.
Two years of nonstop training in Curse Energy… and this was still the limit.
Truthfully, his body just wasn't built for it.
Well, that was only part of it.
He'd finally figured out the real reason: because of his own existence.
A being that bordered on "all-knowing and all-powerful"... someone like that couldn't easily feel deep negative emotions.
And without negativity, there could be no Curse Energy.
He lived in perfect balance—too perfect. As long as that inner harmony remained, the growth of his Curse Energy would crawl slower than a snail.
After more than ten years of intense training, he'd finally reached the total output equivalent of a Grade 3 Sorcerer.
Sure, for a fourteen-year-old, that wasn't bad. But—
He was using the Infinity Perception System. While others relied on human training, he had the power of a supercomputer.
And even then, his Curse Energy was still Grade 3.
His katana, too, carried special properties, but at best it could only be called a Grade 2 Cursed Tool.
Physically, he was strong.
But fighting a Special Grade Cursed Spirit with a Grade 2 weapon? Unrealistic.
— — —
"GRAAAARGH!!"
Down below, Rika roared furiously, standing atop the ruined remains of the school building, her monstrous eyes locked onto Kyūjō high above.
And then—!
A yellow light began glowing in her mouth.
In the next second, a barrage of light bullets erupted like anti-aircraft fire, streaking toward Kyūjō with terrifying speed.
Zzzzing... Zzzzing... Zzzzing...
Kyūjō narrowed his eyes slightly.
He deactivated his Cursed Technique and resheathed his katana with a clean, practiced motion.
This time, he clenched his fists and coated them in a thin layer of Curse Energy—then dove headfirst toward the monster from the sky.
Activating a Cursed Technique consumed far more energy than enhancing the body directly with raw power.
So instead of wasting more energy, Kyūjō decided to take her on with his bare fists.
With a thunderous crash, he slammed into Rika from above.
His punch sent the colossal spirit flying, crashing into another building nearby.
It looked cool—but Kyūjō knew it wasn't enough.
His Grade 3 output barely pierced her defenses, let alone did any real damage.
To actually destroy her before she regenerated, he'd need to hit her not once or twice—but thousands, maybe tens of thousands of times.
The destruction he was causing was starting to draw attention.
Thankfully, ordinary humans couldn't see cursed spirits.
But the higher-ups in Jujutsu Tokyo? They'd definitely sensed the Special Grade Cursed Energy.
And so, they dispatched the strongest possible response:
Gojo Satoru.
The most powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer alive.
Moments after ending his phone call, Gojo Satoru crossed several dozen kilometers in a heartbeat and appeared on-site.
He was curious—just who was messing with his future student?
A boy with the potential to become a Special Grade Sorcerer himself…
— — —
When their eyes met—both of them froze.
Zenin Kyūjō was stunned.
He hadn't expected any human in this world to be this fast! The man had just brushed the edge of his Infinity sensory range—and now he was right in front of him.
If Kyūjō didn't possess monstrous mental strength and reaction time, he wouldn't have even perceived Gojo's approach.
Activating his Infinity Perception, Kyūjō quickly analyzed the man.
What he saw was unbelievable.
A Cursed Technique this advanced… it defied reason.
So this was him—the strongest Sorcerer in the world.
The one who wielded the legendary technique: Infinity.
'What a magnificent technique…' Kyūjō muttered inwardly.
Even if Gojo wasn't showing his full power, the Infinity alone was enough to make Kyūjō incredibly curious…
Meanwhile, Gojo was just as surprised.
This boy…
He looked just like him.
Same white hair. Same sharp features. Slight differences in detail, but unmistakable resemblance.
He looked young—yet there was one thing that made Gojo stop completely.
His eyes.
Even more captivating than his own Six Eyes.
Eyes glowing with an "Electric Glare," radiating streaks of dynamic light. This boy didn't look like he belonged in this world at all.
With a single wave of his hand, Gojo deployed a massive Curtain, sealing off the entire school area.
Then, he chose not to interfere.
Instead, he floated in the air, observing quietly.
Because this boy with the white hair...
Had just become very, very interesting.

[System Note – Curtain (帳)]
A "Curtain" is a type of barrier used frequently in Jujutsu combat. Its primary functions are to isolate the battlefield, block outside interference, and shield civilians from witnessing or entering the area. It plays a vital role in keeping Cursed Techniques hidden from the normal world.
