At that moment, former Konoha senior advisors Mitokado Homura and Koharu arrived, immediately berating Tsunade.
"Weren't you two supposed to be guarding Konoha's gates? What are you doing here?"
With a war raging, Tsunade had no patience for them.
"Guarding the gates? The enemy's practically tearing Konoha apart! What gates are we supposed to guard?"
"As the Hokage, you actually listened to that kid Kazama and pulled back all our Konoha ninjas. You're basically handing Konoha over to the enemy!"
"Enough nonsense. I trust Kazama can hold back the enemy's army," Tsunade shot back.
"Heh, Kazama stopping an army of hundreds of thousands all by himself? Who're you kidding?"
"If Kazama can stop that army, I, Homura, will swim in the septic tank right now!"
"And I, Koharu, will join him!"
"Well, looks like you're swimming today!"
"What?"
Hearing Tsunade's words, Homura and Koharu turned to look at the battlefield ahead.
Kazama, who had been fighting alone moments ago, had somehow summoned an army of 100,000 soldiers out of thin air. They were evenly matched against Black Zetsu's forces.
When Homura and Koharu got a clear look at Kazama's army, they collapsed in shock.
Kazama's 100,000-strong army was made up entirely of skeletal Yin soldiers and ghostly generals.

It wasn't just Homura and Koharu who were stunned. Even Black Zetsu, fighting Kazama, was dumbfounded.

"Your subordinates are pretty impressive, but they're not going to help you now," Kazama said, bursting into laughter as he saw Black Zetsu summon Obito and the others—people who had already sworn loyalty to him.
"Quit bluffing! These are my subordinates. If I tell them to go east, they wouldn't dare go west. Attack already!"
Seeing that Obito and the others weren't moving despite his orders, Black Zetsu was both shocked and enraged.
"Hmph! The Akatsuki members are on a whole different level—far beyond any ordinary ninja army!"
From the back, Homura and Koharu, now swimming in the septic tank, mocked Kazama again.
