The sun starts to set and the darkness engulf the horizon, and the twin moons in the sky was half, and in the clouds, a wave of wind passed through, it was Free. Barriers around him, protected him from the air pressure while his Fire spell kept him warm inside the barrier.
The Town's light flickers in the distance as he slowly descends into it.
In the Hoshi mansion, Servants walk around the mansion both inside and outside, the maids cleans a corner while Lina-now a head maid- ordered them left-right.
"Clean that corner too" she ordered.
"Yes ma'am"
"Clean that table thoroughly!" she yelled at a brown-haired maid, that was cleaning the same place for the last three minutes.
"YES MA'AM!!" the maid obeyed, quickly cleaning the table till it showed her reflection like a mirror.
"Good" Lina muttered, as she ordered them around, the front door of the mansion click open and Free walk's in, his Skyboard in hand and his hair slightly messy. "Lord Free, You have returned".
"I have always told you not to call me lord, we're family" he replied.
"But you're a Noble" Lina added.
"And i'm your step-son" Free replied, his tone a little louder than earlier.
"But to your knowledge, as long as i'm not a blood related to you, even if i'm your step-mother i can't call be a part of nobility" she stated, Free walk by and stand before her.
"You have Hoshi as you last name now" he whispered.
"Without my consent" she replied, Free sighs and walk past her, it was useless to even talk to her because she was saying the truth.
"Free, You're back!" Sylvia called out from the second floor as she quickly walk up to him. "Would you like to have dinner first or bath?".
"Dinner. I was hungry before leaving the capital anyway" he replied, Sylvia chuckled and clings to his arm shyly, leading him to the dining room.
"Big brother, yoy're late" Hinata said, already full, along with Iris and Hina.
"You're a Slime" Iris muttered.
"Papa is late!" Hina yelled out holding a fork, Free pinch the bridge of his nose and walk to his seat.
Sylvia sat beside him as a maid serve them their dinner which was steak, and stew cooked perfectly and looking delicious.
"Thank you for the food" Both Free and Sylvia said, clapping their hand, Free takes a bite of the stew and it was quite good.
"How is it?" Sylvia asked, Free chews it thoroughly and gulp it down his throat.
"Delicious!" he replied, it wasn't that good though, but his wife made it for him so making her happy was his first priority.
"It doesn't look like it" Hinata interrupted.
"It is though" he argued back.
"Let's settle it with a fight" she muttered, fist bumping.
"I refuse" He quickly refused, Hinata left the room with a pout with Elina following behind her.
"Wait for me!" Hina called out exiting the room with Iris trailing behind her.
There were now only two people in the dining room, only Free and Sylvia, whose face had a faint blush. she push her chair closer to Free's and he too was kind of feeling awkward.
"H-how was your audience with the K-King?" she asked trying to break the silence.
"It was tiresome, the princess was talking non-stop" he answered.
silence....
"F-Free?..."
"Hmm?"
"I-i think, that w-we haven't went o-on..." she paused, thinking twice before talking. Free raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to complete her sentence."...A H-honey moon a-after our m-marriage".
Choked. Free choked on the stew, he coughed intensly. "Free!" Sylvia shouted, tapping his back, after a while of coughing and tapping the food came out.
"S-Sylvia...." He muttered, his hand on his mouth.
"Y-yes" Sylvia replied, feeling anxious. 'I shouldn't have said that!!' she thought.
"I-I'm sorry, i never considered it" he apologized but she fidget her hand shyly, her ears low and face flushed.
"N-no no, it's just t-that.....I heard that all newly married couples go to a honeymoon" she muttered. "I was being selfis-".
"No you weren't!" Free shouted, grabbing her waist. "You just wanted to do what normal married people do" he said, his eye filled with determination and ambitions. "Let's plan a honeymoon this upcoming month".
Sylvia was silent for a moment and then, she bit her lip and embrace him in a tight hug. "Yeah!".
The dinner ended with a dramatic plan of honeymoon for the two couples. Their planned honeymoon for the next month was on a beach .
and so, a few days passed, and on a normal morning, Free was in his room, checking the documents and other duties, it was a daily work. Townsfolk went about their business to farming, but now it was outside of the a
Town where their farm was, as many had sold their lands for peole to get a house and a place in the Town.
A completely normal day, with normal activities, until someone enter inside the Hoshi's residence, a boy with cat like ear walk up to the Hoshi's front door and rang the bell.
Ting! Ting! Ting!. "Coming!" someone answered from inside. Elina opened the door, her small frame barely reaching the door knob. "Who?".
"Letter delivery service!" the boy yelled and hand her a pink envelop, and sprinted out of the garden at a insane speed with dirt rising from the ground as he left.
Lina stared at the dust a little longer and then shift her attentiom to the letter the boy handed. "To Baron Free Hoshi?".
She ran upstairs to Free's room. knock knock. "Enter" Free replied from inside.
"Big brother, someone send you a letter" Elina said, handing him the letter, Free takes it and tore open, he takes out a folded paper which let out a scent of rose.
'Baron Free Hoshi,
From the approval of the King of Daelon kingdom, You have been invited as a special guest to the Hero's festival that will be held in two weeks as a appreciation of your newly obtained status as a Baron.
–Elize De Daelon'
"Look like i've been invited to the Hero's festival" Free muttered.
"The one that is held once every Sixteen years" Elina asked, Free gave a nod and put the letter on his desk and starts to think. "Are you gonna accept?"
"Yes, i'm not stupid enough to refuse royalty" Free answered, staring at the letter and then he turn to Elina. "Would you like to accompany me?".
"I don't" she replied."Sitting beside the King is worse than a nightmare for me".
"Can't argue" he agreed, staring out of the window toward the Town, Free sighed and put the letter inside his drawer. 'Sylvia is gonna freak out again' he thought.
To attend a party that will held for three days was a very troublesome, but because it was from a royalty he couldn't refuse, the upcoming week was going to be tiresome and very chaotic, and Free wasn't ready for that.
