The novel before you falls into the second category of the Kingdom Building genre, namely, "Alternate History." For a long time, I have nurtured the dream of writing a web novel. The reason for this eagerness is the scarcity of high-quality novels in this genre, which often face challenges such as a lack of diversity or historical depth. In particular, novels that delve into the history and culture of Iran, a land with a rich civilization, are very few.
Recently, I noticed a web novel titled "Lion and Sun" written by a Chinese author, which is still being expanded. There is also another novel called "Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece" in which a person is reincarnated as a Greek mercenary in Achaemenid Persia but ultimately establishes a government in Italy. These examples, though engaging, indicate the gap that still remains for authentic Iranian narratives within this genre.
I am passionate about following advancements in artificial intelligence. In the past, authors striving to create works in this field needed a deep mastery of politics, economics, military affairs, and especially history; an endeavour that was not only time-consuming but often seemed impossible for many individuals with busy schedules.
However, today, with the advent of artificial intelligence, new doors have opened. This technology has enabled individuals like myself, who were previously only readers of novels, to enter the realm of authorship. Especially for those like me who work in demanding professions such as healthcare and have little free time, these tools are an invaluable blessing. In crafting this novel, I have utilized various AI capabilities, particularly the Gemini 2.5 Flash or Grok 3 models, to create a rich and precise story.
The reason for embarking on this project, however, is tied to my current life circumstances. As I write these words, in June 2025, Iran is facing significant challenges. Following an attack by Israel, the country's internet has been restricted for national reasons, cutting off access to the global network.
In these difficult circumstances, as an Iranian, I witness my country's voice silenced in international media. Foreign journalists, due to restrictions, only publish one-sided narratives that often support Israel, while the people of Iran are under pressure from both these conflicts and the neglect of their own government. This bitter reality, that even the country's rulers do not care for the comfort and security of their own people, pains my heart.
Amidst this, the idea of writing this novel came to mind. Why, in these tough times, should I not take up my pen and write a story that is both a reflection of my feelings and a source of hope? Therefore, I decided to begin my novel centered around the current war, but with a look at the past and a future that could have been.
This story is an attempt to keep alive the glorious history of Iran and, at the same time, a wish for peace and solidarity. I know that as a novice writer, there may be imperfections in my work, but I hope you will forgive them with an open heart. This is my first work, and I have created it with all my being for you, dear readers.
I hope for a day when peace and prosperity are brought to all nations—whether Jewish, Muslim, Christian, or of any other faith or creed. My wish is to see a calm and prosperous Middle East, where the history and culture of every land, including my beloved Iran, is narrated with pride and respect.
