"I have the maids and the driver."
"Stupid! That is not what I meant. I meant, in terms of family, are you the only one here?"
"Tss. Yeah, but sometimes my cousin stays here."
"A girl?"
We were already inside the mansion. A few maids met us at the entrance and bowed politely.
"Nope."
Oh, a boy then.
"So your cousins all live in the Philippines? On whose side?"
I know, I was asking a lot. I was just curious. I barely knew anything about Daddy's best friend's family.
"Most of them are on Daddy's side. The ones in Paris are from Mom's."
He looked at me while explaining, his eyes meeting mine.
"So your grandparents on your dad's side, where do they stay?"
It was obvious the ones from his mom's side lived abroad, so I did not ask about them.
"Heaven," he said shortly.
Oh. "Sorry," I said quickly, chuckling awkwardly.
"Nah, it's okay. So, do you want to stay here or come with me while I change?"
