As Sid continue his "cleaning duties" on the weapon section he was amaze at vast number of weapons available. From modern projectiles to various weapons acquired as rewards for killing monsters.
Based on the information he gathered during his time in the library, he learned that weapons from monster rewards are much more effective against the incursions rather than the modern weapons on Earth. He took an all-black military style tactical knife and machete which both looks modern but was stashed with the weapons taken from monsters. He took a silver spear and a giant glaive from a stack numbering in the hundreds (maybe, a reward from the same type of monsters prevalent in the island). He also took a round shield, a war hammer and a set of bow and arrow.
It feels like he was just grocery shopping, but his conscience was clear. He sees his action as just taking due interest from all the hardships he suffered during his time with the guild.
As he continues to do real work in the storage area, he can't help himself to smile as he look at his system inventory.

As he looks at his inventory, he felt that it was Christmas. He got a bunch of items for free. But he could not help but to shake his head.
"It really was a very long 5 years, A measly 2 gold was the only possession he can show, for all the sufferings he received for the last 5 years in the guild." Sid thought to himself.
Hour's past and Sid is now back in his small abode inspecting the items he pilfered from the guild. He had an inkling of a plan to improve himself. He will sneak into the monster zone during his day off and he will try to kill some low-grade monster to level-up. His goal is to become a Rank B hunter before exposing his awakening but thinking about it makes him wonder on how long he will have to hide his awakening. Leveling up is hard enough in normal conditions and due to him needing to sneak around and hunt monster solo would be very strenuous.
"I must persevere; I am not a stupid individual who need to flaunt everything only to be killed by malicious hunters. The world has already changed the weak are no more than ants for the strong. In this new world, might is right" as Sid talks to himself. To ensure his resolve would never falter.
During this week, I must digest every information I can get in the guild's library to add in my survival. Every preparation must be perfect. For strength, for a better life and for my survival.
Sid took out the items one by one. First, he equipped the gears he can't help but nod to himself. He looks good in all black gear of the Black Lagoon guild sneaking in the Monster zone will be easier with these. If someone were to notice him in the Monster zone, he can just pretend to be a guild member trying to improve himself in doing solo training in the wild. He then took the weapons one by one, getting a feel of which weapon is most suitable for him. The tactical knife looks cool but being too low leveled hunter and no prior combat experience, he felt that the short reach of the weapon might give him a disadvantage against monsters. The reach of the spear is very advantageous, but he does not have the technique to properly wield such weapon. The glaive also had the perfect reach just like the spear and he even thought that the technique he only needs to wield it is to hack and slash, but the glaive was too heavy. It took a whole lot of effort just to lift it and wielding it in combat would be suicide. Though a very ideal weapon due to its long range, the bow and arrow is out of the question since the technique and the accuracy needed to wield such a weapon. The hammer is too heavy which leaves him with the shield and machete. He felt that the machete has good range compared to the knife and he only need to hack and slash at his opponents to use it. The shield, well he loves to live, so everything that will add to his survival is a plus in his mind.

Everything went dark and as Sid open his eyes the brightness of the sun almost blinded him. He was back again in his dream world as he looks around for his other self he was stunned. He cannot find his dream self. This does not feel like a dream. He is no longer spectating. He is really here in his dream world. He walks beside the giant boulder and touch it.
"Oh my God! I'm really here"
