During the campfire party the night before, Suneo had deliberately brought up the unsolved mysteries of Bermuda.
Doraemon seemed puzzled by it, as if he hadn't heard of it in the future world.
I figured that in the future world, the Bermuda Triangle mysteries must have been solved already.
From that perspective, this adventure of mine was probably going to be a success—I'd successfully prevent the Earth's destruction.
Otherwise, Doraemon wouldn't even exist.
But after hearing Suneo talk about the dangers and unsolved mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, Doraemon knew what Suneo was up to.
So Doraemon firmly refused Suneo's suggestion to go to Bermuda.
"No way, no way! Such a dangerous place—how could we go? I'm only bringing you all because your parents trusted me." Doraemon shook his head furiously, refusing to go to such a risky spot.
Shizuka and Seiko Saotome, the two girls, weren't too keen on going to a dangerous place either.
Gian didn't care either way—he was fine with anywhere.
But in my view, Suneo was getting cocky! After our previous adventures, he wasn't taking dangers seriously anymore.
Doraemon didn't want to discuss it further and cut off Suneo's ongoing story about the Bermuda Triangle.
We all continued with the fun campfire party.
But I knew Suneo wouldn't give up that idea so easily.
After all, after those previous adventures, the thrill of exploration and treasure hunting would keep drawing in someone as conceited as him, pushing him to probe further.
But I was happy to see it, since this trip wasn't just for adventure—it was to solve a big problem.
Though we all ended the campfire party happily, in this underwater world, those who went to sleep still had their own thoughts swirling.
And so it went until the next day.
….
But that day, when Doraemon woke up...
For some reason, he had a bad feeling—he'd been worried something might happen since last night.
Uneasy, he went knocking on doors to wake everyone up and gather us.
Shizuka, Seiko Saotome, and I all came out of our rooms.
But Suneo and Gian were nowhere to be seen.
Doraemon knocked on their doors for a long time, but no one came out.
Doraemon's face looked grim.
He knew his worries had come true—yesterday, when he saw Suneo talking about the Bermuda Triangle, something felt off.
Then Doraemon rushed outside.
Sure enough, he saw that out of the six underwater bicycles, only four were left—two were missing. He realized what Suneo and Gian had done.
The rest of us, seeing Doraemon hurry out, followed him.
Seeing the missing underwater bicycles, we realized Suneo and Gian had sneaked off again.
"Doraemon, don't worry! Maybe Suneo and Gian are just riding around nearby?" Shizuka said, trying to comfort Doraemon, whose face was dark.
"I hope so!" Doraemon said, still worried, but he slowly relaxed his brow.
But I knew those two weren't that simple—they really wanted to go to the Atlantic.
Especially since we were close to the Atlantic now; with the speed of the underwater bicycles, they could get there quickly.
Suddenly, we all heard a booming sound coming from somewhere.
"What's going on? What happened? Doraemon, is it an underwater volcano erupting?" I asked Doraemon.
I knew from the original story that it was the underwater volcano eruption in the Bermuda Triangle that kicked off the whole plot.
So I asked Doraemon for his take on it.
But at that moment, Doraemon gave me a completely different idea.
Doraemon listened carefully to the incoming sound.
Suddenly, he said seriously, "No, that's not it. Water transmits sound better than air, so we can hear it more clearly."
"This sound... it sounds like cannon fire!"
Doraemon was a bit shocked and uncertain—how could there be cannons underwater?
What on earth was going on?
"Should we go check it out? Maybe it's Suneo and Gian," Seiko Saotome suggested.
"Alright, let's go see!" Doraemon pulled out the Anywhere Door from his pocket.
Then he opened the door, and we all headed toward the source of the sound.
...
On the other side, early that morning when Suneo and Gian had just woken up, they were driving their underwater bicycles in auto-pilot mode, speeding forward at full throttle.
"We're not afraid of danger!" Suneo said, watching the underwater scenery flash by, enjoying the high-speed ride of the underwater bicycle.
"That's right!" Gian declared boldly.
"Once we find the sunken ship treasure, what should we buy?" Suneo was already daydreaming about life after finding the treasure.
"By the way, Suneo, can we really find the way to Bermuda?" Gian asked, looking at the endless sea floor ahead with some worry.
"No problem. With the auto-navigation on these underwater bicycles, as long as we set the destination, we'll get there," Suneo reassured Gian.
Looking at the navigation screen on the underwater bicycle, the map showed a red dot for Suneo and Gian's position, constantly moving.
Suneo watched the distance on the map shrinking and smiled at Gian. "Cheer up, Gian. We're almost at the Panama Canal. Once we cross it, we'll be in the Atlantic."
"Alright! We can go quick and come back quick, and show Doraemon that their worries were for nothing," Gian said, perking up.
However, as their underwater bicycles kept advancing...
Suddenly, a booming sound came from ahead.
"Suneo, what's going on? It can't be an underwater volcano erupting, right?" Gian asked, worried as the sound grew louder.
"It shouldn't be an underwater volcano eruption. Look, there's no ground shaking, no thick smoke or firelight," Suneo explained his thoughts first.
"Besides, if something happens, our underwater bicycles are fast enough to escape quickly, so don't worry," Suneo comforted Gian, though his own worries didn't lessen much.
It wasn't until Suneo and Gian's bicycles got closer that they realized it wasn't an underwater volcano eruption at all.
It was the sound of cannons firing back and forth.
From afar, they saw underwater rocks constantly shattering.
It was from two different submarine fleets attacking each other, accidentally affecting the surroundings.
One side had black submarines shaped like devil rays, the other side yellow ones like stingrays.
The two sides kept firing special beam attacks.
"U-Underwater people!" Suneo exclaimed in shock.
"Gian, let's get out of here quick and head back to Doraemon," Suneo called out in fear, urging Gian to flee.
"Got it!" Gian didn't hesitate.
The two quickly turned their bikes around.
But just as they tried to escape, the battlefield somehow shifted rapidly toward them.
Seeing the attacks falling all around...
Suneo and Gian screamed in fear, "Doraemon! Help!"
