As they arrived close to the port, they saw a group of marines weapons in hand looking in their direction. Ars quickly understood they saw his new ship, a pirate ship and were coming to fight the pirates.
The problem right now was, there were no pirates anymore. As Ars approached, and prepared to disembark, a marine approached.
"Halt, who are you?? " the marine stopped Ars and looked suspiciously at him, starting straight away questioning Ars.
"I'm Ars, we were attacked by a group of pirates on our way here, we killed the pirates but we kept the ship since it will be useful for us." Ars, knowing why the marine was on the defensive, answered calmly.
"I'm lieutenant hot fist, if that's true, you wouldn't mind if we inspected both ships, searching for pirates." the lieutenant asked for permission for inspection, to which Ars nodded and then lowered a ladder, "Sure come in!"
Ars intended to let them search the ship and then ask for information about Fierzy, Ars looked at the other ship and signaled to them to do the same.
A group of marines quickly went in and started searching for pirates, after a few minutes they confirmed that there were no pirates and came out and confirmed what Ars had said to the lieutenant.
"Sir, we found no pirates, only provisions and the necessary items to fight at sea."
"Sir, it was the same for us, no pirates."
The lieutenant nodded, then looked at Ars, and then pointed at the sails "You should consider changing the skull sails, to avoid more misunderstandings. " Ars smiled and looked at the city, before asking.
"Where is the closest place you can buy sails?" Ars made a pause, and then proceeded with inquiring information about Fierzy, "And one more thing, we came here searching for a human female by the name of Fierzy, I heard that she might be a little on the crazy side, and might have a few incidents in the past, do you happen to know something about her?"
The lieutenant at first simply and lazily pointed towards a distant shipyard, but when he heard the second question he stood there frozen, at first he looked almost petrified, then elated about something.
"Why do you wish to know her location?" The lieutenant looked full of hope towards Ars while trying to compose himself.
Ars was confused by the lieutenant's sudden enthusiasm, " We were asked to pick her up, if possible. Is everything alright with you??"
"YEEEEEES!!!!!!! I mean yes, and everything is fine." The lieutenant quickly and excitedly answered,he was a bit embarrassed by his outburst but he was beyond happy. As Ars looked around, he realized it wasn't just the lieutenant… Every single marine that heard his answer was super happy and the only reason they weren't jumping around from overwhelming happiness was because that would be disrespectful, and might make Ars leave without taking her.
Ars understood right away that the person in question was probably more problematic than he expected. He then looked at his men, and gave them a pouch with 150.000 berries.
"Make a group and go get new sails for the new ship, if it's not enough wait for me, and if after buying the sails there's some left, divide between yourselves, and you can go to the city to buy what you might want or need, but always leave at least 2 people guarding the ships, 1 person for each ship.."
"Yes, Sir." they answered happily knowing it was a little bit over the sails price, and they could buy a few things with that money.
Ars then looked at the lieutenant who was trying not to show happiness, and failing miserably "Do you mind leading me to her, if you don't mind?"
"Yes, of course, please follow me!!" The lieutenant then started leading the way, and after a few minutes of walking they started hearing a commotion. At first the lieutenant looked angry and annoyed and muttered "Not again…" but then remembered that this might be the last time… took a deep breath and then he relaxed with that thought he went back to his happy mood.
After a few more minutes they finally reached the commotion and looked like the lieutenant already knew the troublemaker, he looked at Ars, then pointed at the center of the commotion.
"The person you are looking for is in the middle of the commotion." He looked at Ars, with a smile. Ars sighed, amazed by the fact that the lieutenant already knew who was the troublemaker before even seeing the person in question. Ars started going to the source of the commotion hoping the lieutenant was wrong.
Even before reaching the center he could already hear someone mumbling . "I hate you old man… How dare you take my treasure from me…. Wait, you are not that cursed bastard… Why was I beating you again?… Ho yeah, how dare you look at me …. huh???? that's not it either… HAAA!! YOU LECHEROUS PIG, EAT MY FIST!!!! "
When Ars arrived there, he could see a bunch of people knocked down and unconscious, and in the middle of it a female going completely wild, kicking and punching anyone that approached.
The lieutenant who had followed Ars, from the moment they got near the commotion, looked at one bystander, he was curious about what had happened. She normally caused no end of troubles almost every day, but this time she was going way harder than usual. "What happened?"
"That trader there, with the red shirt and a few missing teeth, decided that it was a great idea to grab her ass, and got half murdered for it, then to make sure she didn't end up killing the moron, people tried to stop her, and now this is the result…."
Ars approached her, and she instantly tried to punch him, but he easily dodged by side stepping, and punched her in the gut with enough strength to make her unconscious. Then he declared "There problem solved."
Everyone watching had their mouths open, shocked by what just had happened. Nobody expected that the problem would be solved like this, then he got a rope from nearby and tied her up. They were all confused about what to do now, they felt that letting this guy take her without trying to help her would be something they shouldn't do as humans but at the same time, they weren't exactly sure what they should do, they didn't know his intentions for her.
Before anyone said something, Ars got a bucket of water and dropped all the water on her head… That made the people around calmer, realizing at least for now his intentions were not bad.
"Are you calmer now?" Ars looked at her angry and a little bit drunken eyes and smiled at her.
She didn't answer, she just glared, full of anger at Ars.
Ars at first didn't know what to do to calm her down, but then an idea appeared… And he went with it…
"Other than the hair color and being older you look very similar to Lily." when she heard that her eyes showed a huge amount of happiness and surprise, and then anger.
"Where is my daughter!??" she spoke almost like she was growling at Ars.
"Can you calm down a little?? If you calm down and promise not to attack me for no reason again, I will let you free and we can speak calmly like adults."
"What happened to my daughter??? Who are you??? And what happened to my ex and that cursed old man???" A little bit calmer she started questioning Ars for any sort of information, she was worried that this man she didn't know had kidnaped her daughter.
"You chose to calm down?? A good choice…" Ars ignored her questions and again pressured into calming down, while also being sarcastic.
Realizing she wouldn't get anything out of Ars in the current scenario she decided to give in a little and replied "Fine I swear on my name that I won't randomly attack you, and we can talk calmly…"
Everyone around was shocked, they hadn't ever seen her being forced into submission just with words alone.
Meanwhile Ars started untying her, quite carefully thinking she was going to attack the moment she could, but was pleasantly surprised when she didn't. "Hooooo…. It seems that you at least intend to keep your word…. Follow me, we can talk in private on my ship."
She glared at Ars full of distrust, and seemed conflicted about following him alone to his ship, but her desire to get information about her daughter was heavy enough that she decided to ignore her own safety.
After a few minutes of walking they arrived at the ships. His men that were on the ship seeing him return lowered the ladder, Ars then looked at Fierzy " After we get to my cabin I will explain why I am here, and where is your daughter." she nodded at him and followed him inside.
"To start with, I should start by introducing myself, I am Ars Nautical, and I am a king of a new kingdom… Well more like a city for now but we will get there." He took a break to observe her reaction, since she didn't show much and kept herself calm he continued "I got a request from one old man that is living there, to pick you up during this trip, the old man is none other than your beloved father in law."
When she heard that the old man was the one making the request to come pick her up, she literally spat on the ground in disgust of the idea.
"Could you not do that?? the ship didn't offend you, why are you spitting on it ..." Ars looked at her angry and annoyed by her disrespect.
"And you can start by cleaning that up before you can get more information…"
She got up cursing and went to find a mop, to clean the spit on the ground. Meanwhile Ars was having doubts about taking her back, if her current behaviour persisted, she would be a bad influence on most people, but especially the children, and considering she would spend a good chunk of time with her daughter, Ars worried about how much of a bad influence she would be on Lily, and if it would be worth it to take her back home, just to help Lily a little bit with her future emotional pain.
After she cleaned the floor, she sat again in front of Ars. And he continued, " You see, both Oak and Lily are now residing in my city, and Oak was having doubts about taking you back to live in that city with them or not. And let's be clear of something Oak himself said he might not have that long to live, and for me taking you or not is something I need to decide after speaking with you, and because you have no idea where my kingdom is, this is probably your last chance to prove yourself, so I have a reason to take you back with me ."
