Yuta's anxiety became unbearable as dusk approached once more. He had told Elrien about the dream, and how he somehow knew it wasn't a dream.
The knowledge demon confirmed that it was a real place, the forest of illusion, as Rafek had called it.
Yuta knew it was a trap the witch had set out for him, but he couldn't stop thinking about little Kira. His chest felt cold, like his body knew Kira was somewhere crying and tormented.
Yuta inhaled deeply and turned to Elrien, how could he leave Kira alone in whatever twisted place the witches had dragged him to?
"Ny Lord," Yuta whispered, "I have to go. I can't abandon him."
He braced himself for refusal and Elrien's cold warning, given how protective he had been all day. But when the demon lord looked at him, Yuta's breath caught.
"Then we go," Elrien said in a steel voice while Yuta nodded.
