A flicker.
That was all it took.
Kyomi gasped, her eyes nearly bulging out.
"Imara!" she shouted, frozen with shock. "Look—Nora just moved!"
Imara ran to her side. Nora's fingers had twitched, her eyelashes fluttering lightly.
Then it happened.
Nora's mind exploded with a rush of light and memory—her babies, the twins, her little boy Liam… Zayan's laughter, family dinners, childhood echoes, the warmth of love and joy. It all came back, crashing like a wave through her soul.
Suddenly, her eyes flew open wide.
"My babies!" she gasped and jumped up from the hospital bed.
It was her.
Nora.
Not the comatose shell. Not the silent figure under tubes and monitors.
It was her—the Nora—alive, whole, and full of fire.
The doctors froze in awe.
Aaila, wide-eyed, stepped closer. "N… N-Nora?"
Nora turned to her.
"Aaila? Where are my babies? Where's Z? Where is Zayan?"
Her voice was strong. Steady. Grown.
"You—you remember me?" Aaila asked, tears brimming.
"What kind of question is that?" Nora said with a half-smile. "You married my Ash and had a baby boy. Of course I remember. I remember everything. The orphanage. Lilith. Everything."
Aaila hugged her tight, trembling.
"It's been two years, Nora. You were in a coma. Your brain was healing."
Nora inhaled deeply, grounding herself. "The family… they'll be so happy."
Aaila nodded, her voice softening. "Zayan came every single day. He raised the babies, Nora. Just like he promised you."
Nora smiled, tears sliding down her cheeks.
"He's a great man… and a wonderful father."
Aaila handed her clothes and food, helping her get settled. But Nora was already stirring with energy.
"Arion told me everything… about Thana and her twisted plans with Zayan."
She stood up with a sharp glint in her eyes.
"Good. I want in on that plan. Call Asher."
Minutes later, Asher screeched into the hospital lot, bringing the boys along.
"N-N-Nora?" he said, stepping out of the car like he'd seen a ghost.
"Did you bring food?" she yawned dramatically. "I'm starving."
She looked around, then added, "Where are the twins? Where's Liam? Where's Z?"
From behind Asher, the boys gasped.
"OH MY GOD!" Maverick shouted. "It's really you!"
They rushed forward, surrounding her with hugs and laughter.
"We missed you so much, sis!" they all said at once.
Nora giggled. "I missed you guys too. But I need to see Z—now."
Rex answered, "He's at the church… with the gang. And the twins. And Liam. And—ugh—that bitch Thana."
"Thana?" Nora asked with a raised brow.
Neal jumped in, "She's the psycho trying to seduce Zayan and—get this—paid Arion 70 billion pounds to kill you."
Nora laughed—genuinely. She turned to Arion, who chuckled too.
Then Shaw's phone rang.
It was a maid. Her voice trembling.
"Ma'am… it's Thana. She hurt Liam… his hand… he wouldn't stop crying…"
The phone was on speaker.
Nora's eyes turned to fire.
"Bring me my set… and the G-Wagon. Now."
Two minutes later, they returned—with Liam in their arms, sobbing.
"Mama… Mama!" he cried, reaching for her.
Her heart broke open.
She snatched him into her arms, hugging him tightly.
"Oh my baby boy…" she whispered, kissing his face a thousand times.
Damian came forward, quietly explaining, "Lysander… he doesn't speak, Nora. He uses sign language. Zayan's tried everything. He… he just can't talk."
Nora fell silent, holding Liam close.
Just then, Zayan called.
"It's time," he said simply.
At the Church
Thana stood at the altar, a twisted smile on her face. Dressed in white. Ready to claim her delusion.
But Zayan wasn't dressed for a wedding. He wore his office suit. No ring. No joy.
Thana grinned.
"Well? Shall we begin?"
Zayan stared at her with nothing but cold, raw disgust.
"Yeah… we're not getting married."
"What the fuck do you mean?!" she shrieked.
"You tried to kill my wife. Now you're going to pay."
The doors swung open.
The boys marched in.
And behind them—Nora.
The real one. Alive. Glorious. Dressed like vengeance and love.
Zayan stepped back in shock as Meira moved forward.
"For Nora," she growled and slapped Thana across the face.
The family gasped.
Nora walked forward. Calm. Beautiful. Dangerous.
"So… you're the one who hurt my Liam, huh?"
Her voice was ice.
She raised her designer gun, loaded and lethal.
Zayan's eyes widened.
"Nora…"
Zofia gasped, "Nora?"
Nora smiled, walking over. "Oh hi, second Nana," she said, giving her a warm hug.
She moved to her children. Liam still in her arms.
"Mama?" Seraphina asked timidly.
"You okay, Mama?"
"I'm fine, Lilly-dear. Just hungry," Nora said with a laugh, hugging all three tightly.
"I'm so sorry," she whispered, guilt still lingering.
Lysander looked up at her. Then… he opened his mouth.
"It's okay, Mama. Dad missed you a lot… and he loves you very, very much. He took good care of us."
Everyone froze.
"Did… did he just talk?" Nathaira whispered.
Nora cupped his face gently.
"I love your dad too."
She turned.
"Z!"
He reached for her face. Tears brimmed in his eyes.
"My Nora…" he whispered.
She hugged him, sobbing.
"I missed you so, so, so much," she said.
"I missed you even more," he murmured, kissing her cheeks again and again.
Suddenly—
"STOP!" Thana screamed, raising a gun and pointing it at Liam.
"I'll kill him! I ALWAYS get what I want! And I want Zayan!"
Nora's rage exploded.
Before Thana could even breathe—
BANG. BANG.
Two shots rang out—
One from Nora.
One from Seraphina.
Zayan flinched. "Woah!"
They both stood, guns still raised.
"Rest in Hell," they said in perfect unison.
"Lilly!" Lysander gasped.
"What? She tried to hurt baby Liam!" Seraphina snapped.
"Give it back now," he sighed.
She rolled her eyes and handed the gun to Maverick.
Zayan pulled Nora into his arms again, tighter than before.
"I missed you… I missed you… I missed you…" he repeated, breathing her in.
"And I love you so very, very, very much… my baby Z."
He handed her a tray of food, watching her devour it hungrily while feeding the kids and even him.
"My Nora… remembers everything," he whispered.
"And she's finally back."
He smiled.
The whole world smiled with him.
