Ezra's POV
"Mom, so many things have happened to me that I can't even say if my life is easy anymore or not."
I started telling her everything, one by one—the things that had happened to me, things I hadn't even told my father.
She listened to me carefully, and when I finally finished, she smiled.
"You did a good job, my son. And don't fall for anyone. These feelings change with time, so never believe in love."
Yes, Mom is right. Feelings like love aren't permanent. They're temporary emotions we feel because of pheromones.
"That's why, Mom... I decided to come back. I'm tired now."
"It's okay. Your mother is here with you. As long as I'm alive, I won't let anything happen to you, my son," she said. I giggled.
No matter how much I grow up, I'll always act spoiled in front of my mother, because I know she'll still adore and pamper me. She loves me just as much as I love her.
"Mom, should we sleep now?" I asked, and she nodded.
