My killing intent was so thick that i felt it beginning to actually materialize, something that i never thought to be possible, but i currently saw red curtains of blood swirling around me, the guy named Ludo hurriedly took off in the air once again, he did that the moment he sensed my intense bloodlust, even though i wouldn't have blamed him for it, since as he previously said, it was all orchestrated implemented by that Demon Emperor of his since who knows when, but even with that logical conclusion, i couldn't help but become enraged at the information he gave me, it was just too much for my brain and heart to handle .
After i asked him while feeling a bit of discomfort about what he meant by us being here was all part of the Demon Emperor plan, he lowered his head and his tone become filled with bitterness before once again cursing the binding contract that forced him to answer my inquiries without even able to hide much from me and then he began to clear his throat and disoriented and began to say in a grave tone :
50 years ago, an incident happened and that incident sparked the arrival of our demon race, the first demon was the strongest person from the time he landed here, so it was easy for him to conquer this whole place, or that was at least what he thought, but then he was met with the resistance of the Shard who was responsible for creating this place, it directly obliterated his body, but thanks to the talent of that particular demon, a piece of his soul was able to escape the dangerous first encounter with the Shard .
He used a special technique and with that technique, he was able to occupy the body of one of the natives on this land, we demons were not aware of how deep the connection between the natives here and the Shard, but one thing was clear .
The Shard knew of its failure to obliterate the threat and even know what body he was currently occupying, but this time it wasn't able to pinpoint the exact location of the said threat due to the demon cautious nature and frequent use of secret techniques to hide himself from the prying eyes of the Shard .
After succeeding in doing so, he began to gather more information and once again tried building his power, but he once again failed and was defeated by the hero that was summoned from another world, the hero strength wasn't better than him, but for some reason he was always to heal faster and regain his stamina more quicker than the demon, leading every encounter between the two to end in favor of the hero .
Months later, the demon finally understood that the power system which the hero used was different than him, he thanks to his wide net of information was able to finally understand that he wasn't fighting the Hero, no, he was fighting against the Shard that was lending its strength to the Hero .
He also was able to find out that the day the Hero arrived in this land, happened to be the exact same day that he appeared in this weird land, linking the dots, he began to come to a conclusion, that conclusion was about his only possible way to defeat the said Hero, he must invite other Demons to come and back him up, but he didn't know how to exactly do that .
He had been in this land for over a year, the spatial rapture he came from was still in place, but it began to shrink a bit in this year, as he was wondering about how to implement that plan of his, he heard the news about the Hero killing the self proclaimed Demon King of this land, but in doing so, he also was poisoned by the last attack of the demon king and was currently in a weakened state, the gears in the demon mind began to turn suddenly, then he had an idea of using the same circumstances that brought him here to try and once again open the spatial rapture and possibly allow more demons to be able to come in this land .
He was going to attack the Hero and use him as a sacrifice to open the passage to the Real World, he was also the first to use this term to describe our Homeland, but the reason he called it as such is still unknown to most of the demons .
But anyway, he began to implement that plan of his immediately, he commanded the troops under him to surround the hero's camp and directly began his assault, sadly for him, even though the Hero was seriously injured, he was able to increase his strength even more in this short period of time, his sudden increase and the demon already weakened strength due to the frequent use of secret techniques, ended the battle once again in the hero favor .
But the demon was able to survive, even though he was seriously injured in the last encounter, the results of that battle were still quite good in his opinion, since he was able to at least confirm that he might be really able to allow more demons to come over here through the rupture, or if he wanted he could be able to go back to his Homeland at least .
He confirmed that by using the blood he collected from his last skirmish with the Hero, he refined the blood into a blood medal that was releasing an ominous energy and then he directly through it through the spatial rapture and waited for the results of his experiment .
The moment that the blood was swallowed by the rupture, he was for 3 seconds able to see the same place that he remembered in his mind, his Homeland and the area of the rupture was completely the same area he was in before getting swallowed by the spatial rapture, then the rupture began to shrink back to how it was before, leaving him wondering about how much blood will he need so that he may be able to make this rupture act as a portal between the two places, he then looked at how badly injured was he this time and wondered whether will he even be able to survive like this .
The demon decided to recuperate from his injuries first and after that he will begin to devise another plan, one that would allow him to finish off that Hero from another world guy and completely use his body as a sacrifice, unaware that he wanted to invite other Demons to help him with that matter in the first place, but his mind at that time wanted to be more, to do more .
He wanted to avenge his loss at the hands of the said Shard, he wanted it for himself, his ambition increased after understanding the difference in power between him and the Hero, after he took another half a year to recuperate from his injuries, he was pleased to find out that the Hero had actually married and his wife was already expecting with a child, the reason he was happy, was because he believed that whatever that hero had in his blood that allowed him to affect the spatial rapture, his kin might be able to do too, the number of people who he could sacrifice increased, so why wouldn't he be happy .
In that half year of recuperating, he already had devised a plan that he could use to kill that summoned from another world Hero, but for his plan to succeed, he will have to bear a lot of severe injuries, the first steps for his plan to succeed forced him to battle the hero almost occasionally, for him to try and scrump more of the hero's blood, he massacred whole regions trying to use other normal people blood but to no avail, the blood didn't even succeed in making the rapture have any reaction, much to his disappointment, but he made a discovery that lightened up his mood and increased his confidence .
The areas he massacred and painted it in Red, was completely cut off from the influence of the Shard, meaning that if demons were to arrive in those regions, they would be completely safe from being attacked by the Shard, unlike what happened with him previously, but they only this safe place, they weren't able to come outside of it, unless they used some countermeasures like the secret techniques he used or things like that, but that discovery alone gave him much more confidence in carrying on with his plan and fantasizing about the day when the Demons will freely roam this land .
He spent another 3 years, fighting with the hero who was for some reason began to actually underestimate him more and more over the time, most of their battles were filled with the Hero ridiculing the demon, he became so arrogant to the point of inviting his family to come and witness how he dealt with the demon, before he knew it, tons of people were already beginning to gather in the designated location of the fight, time after time, they weren't aware that the Hero who all of them adored, was soon to become no more .
The demon kept fighting time after time, losing every and each battle, he appeared to be more annoyed every time they battled than the time before, acting as if he already lost his spirit to continue fighting anymore, then the awaited day finally came for the demon, he said that this was his last time battling the Hero and if he lost today, he will accept his defeat and return to where he came from, vowing not to set his foot in this land ever again, but if he won by chance, the Hero must serve as his slave for the next 100 years .
The crowds ridiculed his ridiculous demands, but then they were stopped by the Hero raising his hand to silence them and added a new term of his own before agreeing to the terms of the demon, the term he asked for was for the demon to put his head on the line, after seeing that i had no intent on accepting his proposal and due to how arrogant have he became, he agreed to the terms i gave and got in his fighting stance, without saying any more words .
He was completely unaware of the plan which was being devised to lead him to his doom from behind the scenes, was already in motion for more than three years now and in this day the last step in the demon plan will be taken, making the plan become complete, but he won't be able to witness its completion, sadly .
The battle started between the two parties and even though the demon's body was completely filled with quite a number of injuries and most of them even looked to be severe, he was ferociously attacking the Hero with everything he had, but without any scruples the results of the battle still ended quickly and decisively in the Hero's favor, the people began to loudly cheer and asked the demon to honor the agreement .
The demon nodded and told them that he will go back to his home in another world and they were more than welcome to come and witness it, the Hero hesitated to follow the demon, but due to him becoming the king of this kingdom and seeing that most of his people were going to witness the demon leaving, he was forced to follow along .
As they reached the spatial rapture, which was almost beginning to completely dissipate and seeing that it in person, the Hero couldn't help but getting closer to the rapture with a bit of cautious in his steps, not wanting to risk his life for a mere curious look, at least not with the demon here, he kept looking at the rapture with a melancholic look, but then he turned to the demon and asked how was he going to squeeze into such a tiny rapture, the demon just laughed and pointed his hand and throw something into the now closing rapture .
And in the eyes of all the onlookers, the rapture began to increase in size, then it began to show a different scene on the other side of it, making all the spectators gasp in surprise, then the demon without saying anything else directly began to enter the said portal and disappeared from this world .
Seeing that the demon had already honored the agreement and left as he promised, the Hero was drawn by his curiosity and began to come more closer to the still opened, but beginning to turn dark portal, an indication of it beginning to close once more .
He came and stood directly in front of the said portal and began to inspect it a bit until it finally closed, he sighed and then turned to his people telling them to rejoice this day, this day was the day that they finally got rid of the demon that kept terrorizing the land for over 4 years, this day should be celebrated for 100 years to come, after all in this day we once again restored the tranquility and prosperity of the realm .
Some of the crowds cheered, but some was still asking questions like what about the area that were still plagued with the unsettling crimson atmosphere, this place included, which the Hero answered that he believed that now with the demon gone, the realm will begin to recuperate and fix itself, meaning that the yellowish sun will once again shine in those crimson plagued area, those words of his resulted in the scene falling to a huge wave of applause .
Then without any warning, the scene that was filled with hope just now suddenly fell into despair, the beginning to shrink portal, once more opend and without any flashy moves, a sword was directly shoot out of it and that sword silently pierced through the heart of the Hero from his back, directly imbedding itself in the Hero's chest, the scene fell into silence, making the sound of the Hero flesh being pierced even louder for all the people to hear it loud and clear .
Then chaos erupted, screams soon echoed, the Hero who didn't expect such a sudden turn of events, tried to turn his head a bit to see what exactly happened, but the moment his head moved, another sword was shot and im imbedded the hero chest once more, making the already chaotic scene become even more chaotic, then without even a second passing, the demon came back from the portal, laughing menacingly and sinisterly and appeared next to the fixed in place Hero and patted his shoulder a few times, then asked him if he had any last words, the two swords in his chest didn't allow him to do much of anything, they were enchanted with something that was forcing the Hero from even making a sound, not to mind move a muscle, he tried to say something, but no words came out of his mouth, this made his already tensed mind to completely fell into panic .
But seeing him like this the demon began to rejoice it even more and he leaned in his ears and told him that his misery had just begun and assured him he won't be kill for now, at least, but instead he pointed at the rest of the crowds that were all still in shock and unable to comprehend what just happened and said that all of them will have to die, especially that little pup of his and his wife won't be spared either .
But that last provocation of his, made the hero burn his life force, for a short burst of strength, one that will be at least enough to kill the demon, the demon eyes contracted a bit as he witnessed this scene, just as he was about to ridicule his reckless actions, he was caught by the head by the bloodied hand of the Hero, then he applied more pressure in his hand as if trying to directly crush his head to pieces, but the physical body of the demon allowed him to withstand this attack and come out of it alive, but not unscathed, his skull fractured but he was still alive, he began to try and attack the Hero and used more swords this time, the hero took all those sword attacks on and was forced to let go of the hand that was holding the demon's head .
Then after destroying the swords that was attacking him from all angles, he sensed that his time was up and directly used his last trump card at the cost of his own life, his Elemental Fusion skill .
That skill turned him into an Elemental for normally 3 seconds but in his current state, he knew that he had only a second before his body explode, but his calculation was wrong, he only stayed in that form for merely a few milliseconds, enough for him to discard of his energy and enemy attacks and even lunch a counterattack, but not enough for him to completely obliterate the demon .
His body directly exploded, but with enough willpower he was able to stay alive in the weird form and state of an Elemental, his strength decreased to an alarming level, he wasn't able to contend with the demon, no more, he issued the order for his people and family to retreat, but his wife and child stood rooted to the ground and unmoving .
The demon seeing how everything turned out, kept attacking the Elemental hero and from time to time, even though he was seriously injured due the last counterattack of the Hero, he now had quite the advantage over the Hero, to the point that he would even leave the battle and massacre some of the hero's people, releasing his frustration at how everything have turned out and angering the Hero in the process, but now that he won't be able to capture the Hero, he will try to capture his son instead .
The demon let go of his fight with the now losing his mind Elemental and directly aimed to capture the son of the said Hero, he opened the portal one last time and directly tossed the kid through the portal, in addition to a journal that described everything that happened from the day he sat foot in this land, but that wasn't his initial plan, he was forced to do this due to the Elemental hero regaining some of his conscious and see through what was he trying to do .
