They broke apart instantly, breathing hard, faces flushed, lips swollen and glistening.
Fauna barely had time to smooth her dress before the doors slid open.
A small cluster of night-shift nurses stood just outside, chatting quietly among themselves. T
But the moment the doors parted, their conversation died.
All eyes turned to Fauna.
And to the tall, handsome young man standing beside her.
For a heartbeat, silence.
Then the nurses eyes widened slightly—shock flickering across their faces as they took in Fauna's disheveled state: hair mussed, cheeks bright red, lips puffy and obviously kissed, gaze darting away like a guilty teenager caught sneaking out.
But professionalism won out.
They bowed their heads in unison, voices polite and deferential.
"Lady Fauna...good night." One said politely.
"Good night, ma'am." Another echoed.
Fauna managed a shaky smile and a small wave.
"Good night, everyone." She replied, voice higher than usual. "Thank you...for everything tonight."
