Fauna looked down at her sleeping daughter for a long moment. Then she let out a quiet sigh and turned to Mika, her tone wistful.
"Well." She said. "What are we going to do now?"
"Do?" Mika raised a brow.
Fauna nodded eagerly, brushing her hair back with a bright smile.
"I was thinking the three of us could watch a movie or play a board game—something fun, you know? It's been forever since we all did something together. But now that Anya's completely knocked out…"
She gestured helplessly toward her daughter.
"…we can't exactly do that."
She puffed her cheeks in mild frustration, crossing her arms.
"So what should we do? It's not even time for dinner yet, and I don't want to just sit around doing nothing."
Her mood perked up again as she began listing ideas.
"I've got a bunch of board games in the cabinet we could try. Oh! And that new video game console I bought because all the kids in the hospital wouldn't stop talking about it. We could finally test that out!"
