"Oh—that one?" Theo turned his head, glancing at the side table Daisy was pointing to. "You mean the notebook, right?"
Daisy didn't answer. Instead, she strode over and picked it up, flipping through the pages. "This is mine! No wonder I couldn't find it anywhere…" She squinted at him, pretending to glare. "Honestly—this Theo sure knows how to 'borrow' things without asking."
"And honestly," Theo pointed at himself with a small, sheepish grin, "this Theo also has no idea why he borrowed your notebook without asking…"
His tone was light, but there was a flicker of confusion in his eyes, one Daisy didn't miss, a quiet reminder that some parts of him were still missing.
Daisy's expression softened. She flipped through the notebook again and said, "I guessed that's why you told me about my handwriting," she said softly.
