Chapter 168 - The Queen's Desire

After dinner, Rossweise asked her two daughters to stay. Then she said seriously, "Noah, Muen, I have a task for you tonight."

The two little dragon girls immediately became more alert when they heard there was a task.

"Mom, what is the task?" Noah asked.

Rossweise went back to the bedroom, brought out the youngest daughter, and carefully handed her to Noah. Noah felt a little nervous, even though it was not her first time holding her little sister. "Mom, is this…"

"Tonight, your little sister will sleep with you. It will help you three sisters bond," Rossweise explained.

Noah looked down at her sleeping sister in her arms and nodded. "That is fine. Muen and I have wanted to sleep with her anyway."

"Yay~ Tonight I get to sleep with little sister, Muen is so happy~"

"Shh~" Noah quickly lifted her tail and used the tip like a finger to make a 'quiet' gesture near her sister's mouth. "Do not wake her up."

Muen nodded obediently, gently pinching her own tail.

Rossweise clapped her hands. "Alright, now that the task is clear, make sure you do it well."

"Yes, Mom!"

Noah adjusted her youngest sister in her arms and turned to her younger sister.

"Muen, let us go."

"Yes, sister!"

Dragon sisters, special forces (with kids), move out!

The two little ones marched out of their mother's room one after the other, perfectly in step.

Leon sat at the dining table, nibbling on a piece of bread and silently watching the scene.

He noticed that Rossweise had really changed.

From the strict, serious "Lady Mother" who rarely smiled at first, she had become a "gentle mother" who could amuse the children and involve them in family matters with her interesting words and actions.

Although to her subordinates, the queen was still a workaholic, in private she had become completely different.

This change was unexpected for Leon. In his mind, the Dragon Clan had always been a group of stubborn, bossy people.

He had not thought Rossweise could change so noticeably in just a year.

Hmph, see that, Mother Dragon? Compared to your Dragon Clan's old, rigid ways, our human ideas are far ahead. It will take you two hundred years to catch up.

And Rossweise's subtle change had also influenced their daughters.

Especially Noah.

Although the eldest daughter still pushed herself to be excellent, she was no longer as closed off as when Leon first met her. She was not afraid to show her true feelings and emotions anymore and did not need to test others repeatedly.

However you looked at it, this family was indeed getting better.

Thinking of this, Leon sighed with relief. "The daughters are so understanding. They know how to share the hardships of life with Mom and Dad."

Rossweise, with her back to him, let out a cold laugh but said nothing.

Leon was startled and a little confused by her laugh.

Was there something wrong with what he said…

Gulp… Why do I have a bad feeling about this?

"Leon," Rossweise still had her back to him.

Leon swallowed hard and shifted in his seat. "W-what is it?"

"The other day, defeating Constantine must have been tough for you," Rossweise said as she slowly turned around.

A seductive smile was on her face. A cute dimple showed at the corner of her lips. Her silver eyes were locked on Leon's as she walked slowly toward him.

Leon lowered his gaze, focusing on her delicate ankles peeking out from under her skirt.

Her steps were slow, but Leon's heartbeat got faster.

His Dragon Slayer radar was buzzing loudly.

Years of experience told Leon instantly what Rossweise planned to do.

He slowly stood up, then moved around to the back of the chair, facing Rossweise with the chair between them.

"I warn you, Mother Dragon, the book says after giving birth, you should wait at least two months. It can be very harmful to a woman's body."

Rossweise raised an eyebrow. "What book are you reading?"

"'Postnatal Care for Mother Dragons.'"

Wrong. He had not actually read that book at all.

The "at least two months" was for human women, not for someone as strong as Rossweise.

Rossweise chuckled softly. She realized Leon had used all his cleverness for dragon slaying.

If he thought about it carefully, he would see that if she was making a move like this, she must have learned about post-pregnancy health.

For a large being like a dragon, recovery after a smooth birth usually took only two or three days.

"What is this 'at least two months' nonsense? I have never heard of it!"

"Alright, Leon, since you have figured out what I want to do, stop resisting. Be a good boy."

"You… You saw how strong I was when I killed Constantine. Let me tell you, just because you are the mother of my child does not mean I will go easy on you."

"Aww, I am so scared~ Dragon Slayer, please be gentle with me, okay?"

Rossweise said this with exaggerated playfulness, but then her expression quickly changed to a mischievous smirk.

"Tsk, if you really had the power you had when you killed Constantine, would you need to bargain with me here? You would have knocked me out already and had a peaceful night."

Uh-oh.

His little plan had been ruthlessly exposed by Rossweise.

Wait, was it not said that pregnancy made you less sharp for three years?

How was she not only not less sharp, but even smarter than before pregnancy?

After failing to coax or reason with her, Leon tried to appeal to her sense of reason. "This does not make sense, Rossweise. I have not done anything wrong today. Why do you… why do you want to… to do this to me?"

But the queen just snorted. "Do you know how long it has been since we played the game of queen and captive? Six months and seven days! Do you know how I have spent these six months?"

"You… Whatever you want to do is none of my business! If a male like me can endure it, why are you, a female, so addicted?"

"It is not addiction, Leon. It is the queen's desire for conquest."

"First time I have heard someone describe turning in homework as an addiction in such a fresh way."

"Stop talking nonsense. Look at you, running your mouth now. I have let you go for six months, and you dare talk to me like this. If it were any longer, you might even try to take my throne. So, I need to discipline you in time. I need to make you understand the pecking order in this family."

Leon closed his eyes and sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Kill the donkey after it has ground the grain, kill the donkey after it has ground the grain! If I had known, I would have left Constantine alive, waited for him to come for revenge, and let him deal with you then!"

"Oh? Since you put it that way, I might have to reward my guardian even more, do not I?"

"…There is no way out of this now, is there?"

The queen narrowed her eyes and smiled. "Very clever, my dear."

Things had come to this. It seemed he had to accept tonight's "homework." But even so, Leon would rather die standing than live on his knees!

With determination, Leon gritted his teeth, stomped his foot, pushed the chair aside, and strode toward Rossweise.

Before Rossweise could react, Leon pressed her shoulders and pinned her against the wardrobe.

Rossweise was slightly startled. She looked into the black eyes so close to hers, and her heart skipped a beat.

Hmm, after all this time, I have indeed gotten rusty, to be caught off guard by this man.

"So, it is the queen's desire for conquest, the pecking order, and how you have spent these six months, huh?"

Leon held Rossweise's wrists, slowly lifting her arms and finally pressing her wrists against the wardrobe above her head.

Their faces were close, their noses touching lightly. Their breaths mixed, and their eyes were locked.

Rossweise's eyes were seductive, continuously teasing Leon's lips with her fiery gaze.

"So, what is it going to be? What are you going to do to me?"
