Zamasu was completely unharmed!
Trunks' expression darkened instantly. This opponent's immortality, granted by the Super Dragon Balls, was truly broken beyond reason, it was impossible to kill him at all!
"Hmph! You insolent mortal! You'll pay the price for defying a god!" Zamasu's face twisted in rage before his figure blurred and vanished in an instant, moving with the speed of a Kaiōshin.
Trunks' instincts flared he raised his arm to block
But the next moment, a crushing force slammed into him, sending him flying through the rubble!
Shhh!
Zamasu reappeared directly behind him, a glowing sphere of divine ki already forming in his palm, this was no ordinary ki blast, but laced with God Ki that mortals could barely withstand!
Boom!
The detonation rocked the air, Trunks' pained shout echoing as the explosion's blinding light tore through the sky!
When the smoke cleared, Trunks was kneeling on one knee, steam rising from his scorched jacket, coughing violently as sparks of blue and gold flickered in his aura.
The sudden spike in Zamasu's divine strength was crushing.
"This is the punishment for angering the gods!" Zamasu's voice was cold as he raised his hand, forming another ki blade to finish Trunks off
Whoosh!
"Ha!"
A sharp gust of air erupted Son Goku's figure flashed into existence in front of Zamasu, his Super Saiyan Blue aura flaring red with the burning overlay of the Kaiōken and his kick sent the Kaiōshin flying!
Zamasu skidded back in midair, stopping himself. "Son Goku?! Impossible! You were supposed to be held back by Black!"
"Uncle Goku!" Trunks' voice rose in relief.
"Are you okay, Trunks?!" Goku asked quickly, eyes still locked on Zamasu.
"I'm fine… just careless!" Trunks forced himself upright. "Be careful Zamasu's immortal! Attacks won't finish him!"
Goku's expression hardened. "An immortal body, huh… This is gonna be tricky."
Zamasu narrowed his eyes at Goku. "Why? Why has your power increased so much since we last clashed?"
Goku smirked faintly. "This? It's called the Kaiōken. It multiplies my power beyond my normal limits even with Super Saiyan Blue."
Zamasu's frown deepened.
"Tch… Kaiōken. Impressive, it even makes me feel pain." The voice came from above Goku Black descended slowly, his Super Saiyan Rosé aura flickering, a hand clutching his chest.
In their earlier duel, Black had been forced onto the defensive Goku's perfected Blue Kaiōken had pushed him back, each strike laced with precision.
"Black…" Trunks' grip on his sword tightened, rage flashing in his eyes.
Goku eyed his doppelgänger. "Even the tenfold Kaiōken didn't take you down… unbelievable." He knew he could, in theory, push Kaiōken higher but sustaining more than ×10 with Blue would rip his body apart in this drawn-out fight.
Black smirked darkly. "Yes… you hurt me. And pain… only makes me stronger!" His voice rose to a mad laugh, his aura surging wildly.
BOOM!
The pink glow of Rosé flared violently, warping the ground beneath him as his power skyrocketed.
"What?!" Goku and Trunks both staggered back his ki was utterly different now, sharper, darker refined through battle just like a Saiyan's, yet fueled by a divine will.
"Hahaha! This power… Sun Goku, I should thank you for it!" Black's eyes gleamed.
"Damn it…" Goku's jaw tightened. An immortal ally and a battle-adapting warrior this combination was a nightmare.
"Let's resume our game," Black said with a feral grin, condensing his Rosé aura into a blade of pure energy before rushing forward.
Goku roared, pushing Kaiōken Blue to its upper edge again, and the two clashed blow for blow, shockwaves tearing through the ruins but this time, Goku could no longer push Black back. His opponent's power was still climbing.
Out of the corner of his eye, Goku sensed Zamasu's movement but too late. The Kaiōshin appeared at his flank, launching a swift strike.
Goku deflected, but between Zamasu's immortal persistence and Black's relentless assault, his guard broke Black's ki blade grazed his shoulder, leaving a burning wound, before a crushing kick sent him crashing through the rubble!
"Ugh!"
"Uncle Goku!" Trunks' aura flared violently, breaking through into Super Saiyan 2 as he charged with his sword aimed for Black's chest
But Black didn't even move.
Trunks' heart sank Zamasu intercepted him, letting the blade pierce through his torso without a flinch before slamming his fists into Trunks' ribs, driving the air from his lungs!
"Guhhh!"
Trunks spat blood, his golden aura flickering out as he collapsed in front of Zamasu.
With cold disdain, Zamasu plucked the sword from his body, tossing it aside as his wound sealed instantly. "Mortals… always reaching for heights they cannot grasp."
He stepped on Trunks' head, grinding it against the shattered tiles.
"Ahhh!" Trunks could only cry out, too drained to fight back.
"Stop it, Zamasu!" Goku's voice cut through.he charged from the rubble, fist cocked
But Black intercepted, catching Goku's punch with ease.
"What's wrong? Your strength feels… weaker." Black's smirk widened. "Ah… Kaiōken Blue drains you, doesn't it? You're spent." His fist shot forward, smashing into Goku's gut before hurling him across the battlefield.
Crash!
The blue-and-red aura flickered out completely Goku fell to one knee, back in base form, gasping for air.
Zamasu kicked Trunks aside and lunged at Goku, twisting his body to grab Goku's arm, locking it in place.
"What are you?!" Goku's eyes widened.
By then, Black was already in position Rosé energy swirling between his palms. "Kamehameha…"
Goku's heart lurched. "Are you insane?! You'll"
"HA!!!"
The beam engulfed them both, the ground shaking under the blinding flash.
BOOM!
When the dust cleared, a massive crater scarred the earth. Goku lay unconscious at its center, back in his base form.
Zamasu stood unharmed, not a single scratch marring his body.
