Chapter 267 - The tables will turn eventually

Elena was incredibly frustrated.

She felt like a child who had done something wrong. She wanted to speak, but was at a loss for words.

Lust was still in the air and she hung her head low, not daring to look at Lucas at all.

"Elena!" Lucas exclaimed, sounding alluring like the perfect melody of ancient instruments.

Elena frantically looked up with glistening eyes, not daring to look him in the eye at all. The fragrance of the agarwood bed wafted up to her nose with every movement.

"Look at me," Lucas said, breathing rapidly.

He looked extremely suave yet distant, making Elena's heart pound while she stared at him.

"You must return me everything that you owe me today," Lucas said, stressing on each and every word. He sounded austere and commanding.

Elena began to feel more and more remorseful and guilty. However, she tried to conceal her guilt by sounding self-righteous. Pouting her lips, she said, "It's not my fault. How could I possibly know my period would come?"
