Katsuro was a man with insane reaction speed and on top of that high battle IQ. He had noticed Danzo subtly trying to lure him to the spot when he had first doubted his actions, and had also noticed the root shinobi. But he had full fate in his abilities, after all he was a user of the fastest Jutsu in the world.
In a flash, Katsuro was next to him, swinging down with his Katana teleporting to the Kunai he had thrown earlier from the one he had dropped. Danzo was an incredibly strong Shinobi in his prime, and it allowed him to react with his life on the line, stepping backwards just enough that he still suffered a deep gash across his torso but would still live. But now, he was truly desperate as he began to realise that he - an elder of Konoha, and the leader of the Root - was losing. The boy was not only endlessly better than any of his Root Shinobi at Kenjutsu, but he was also faster than anyone the man had ever seen in battle.
He dodged it! Is he now that proficient with Sensei's Jutsu?? Am I truly going to lose here? I can't do anything. No! No! No!
As the clash continued with Danzo trying to desperately save his own skin with a Kunai while panting. Katsuro, with one particular attack, cut straight through the metal Kunai, breaking Danzo's block. As he followed through Danzo's right arm met the same fate, and was severed from his shoulder.
Danzo screamed in pain, looking down with his vision blurred from agony and tears alike. He laid sprawled on the floor, trying to back away from Katsuro who had slowed down and walked calmly towards him. The sight of Katsuro covered in blood that was not his own, with his sword in his right hand as he walked menacingly would induce nightmares for the faint hearted.
I was wrong. I could never beat him.
He is no man, he isn't even a Shinobi.
This… this is a demon!
With blood pouring out of his severed arm, as well as other various wounds inflicted upon him by Katsuro's cold, unforgiving attacks, Danzo truly understood his situation. His fear caused him to scramble across the floor away from his opponent, but Katsuro continued stepping towards him grabbing him by the neck with his free left hand, effortlessly lifting him in the air.
With his life literally in Katsuro's hands, Danzo felt his impending death. He hadn't believed it before but he did now, Katsuro wanted to kill him.
F*ck, I have to use that! I didn't want to waste it here but I need to get away!
Danzo squirmed, trying to loosen the Stormbreaker's grip, but this just made Katsuro even angrier, and as he tightened his grip even more, Danzo's neck slowly was being crushed. Unable to breathe, under the excruciating pain, the Root's leader, once thought to be untouchable, was now being excruciatingly choked and his airway mangled.
Danzo realised he had severely underestimated how highly Katsuro regarded Sakumo, as well as how serious of a leader Katsuro was, and was now facing the full extent of his revenge. Still trying to catch a breath, Danzo winced and groaned in his throat, swiping away at Katsuro's arm which didn't budge, and all tightened.
I seemed to have miscalculated the situation. Dammit! If only Sarutobi hadn't been such a fool and let me handle this from the beginning. It's too late now. I need to use that accursed clan's Jut-
Danzo's thought, which he believed would be his final one, was suddenly interrupted, by the sound of a large group of footsteps approaching them from behind. Katsuro turned, with Danzo, still clenching his neck, to see the new party behind them, and raised his eyebrow, a moment of shock causing him to temporarily loosen his grip on Danzo's neck.
"THERE!" called out the voice leading them. Leading the group was the Third Hokage.
"Katsuro! Release Danzo! You're assaulting an elder! Do you have any idea of what this means?! Unhand him! NOW! Are you trying to betray the village?!"
Behind Hiruzen, followed a group of Anbu shinobi and many of the clan leaders. Still, this didn't faze Katsuro as he continued to squeeze Danzo's throat.
"DID YOU NOT HEAR WHAT I SAID? RELEASE DANZO!"
The clan leaders, other Sarutobi clan members and the Anbu behind him shifted nervously behind the Third Hokage, unsure of what to do. Initially, the Hokage didn't tell them what was going on- only that the Root headquarters was under an immediate, highly dangerous threat. That alone made them feel uneasy. After all, the Root wasn't really under their control and wasn't even overseen by Hiruzen. It was Danzo who controlled it, and they all knew of his underhand, sly, nefarious nature. Now seeing Katsuro, leader of the Senju, who single-handedly saved Konoha in the previous war and helped them receive their war reparations, assault Danzo, a village elder, backed by the Hokage, they couldn't make a decision on what to do.
"I see," Hiruzen continued, "this must mean you're a traitor. Turn yourself in, Katsuro, before things take a bad turn." But to his surprise, his words had absolutely no effect on the Senju Patriarch.
Katsuro laughed, "Ah, Hokage, you seem to be mistaken! I'm simply executing a traitor of the village. I have evidence proving that Danzo has been leaking S Rank Mission details, as well experimenting on my own clansmen! And that's not even mentioning the betrayalof Uzushiogakure. Furthermore, I'm sure you're all aware of how he has ostracized the Uchiha and even forced and manipulated your clans into giving up their own members to theRoot!" He said his final words looking into Fugaku's eyes and the rest of the leaders' eyes.
"And, Lord Third, I'm sure you're aware that this traitor has made various attempts on your own life. As the Hokage, it seems that you've pardoned this behaviour in secret without notifying the rest of the clan leaders, but now, considering the other crimes Danzo has committed, he cannot be allowed to live any further. As the Hokage, surely, you realise you have allowed for Danzo's crimes to go on for far too long, without consequence. I will end this!"
An uproar erupted from the crowd behind Hiruzen. Danzo squirmed even more, looking around, grimacing, realising his situation was becoming more and more dire by the second. Many of the clansmen and Anbu had suspicions and some even knew of Danzo's dark secrets, but regardless of if they knew or not, Katsuro exposing the Hokage's right-hand man in front of them caused them to gasp in shock. If he had the evidence as well, which he most likely did, Danzo would be executed and the Hokage would be put under investigation.
"Lord Third, I'll be kind and give you a warning. I'm sure you don't want to associate with such a criminal. Anyone who gets in my way, or stands against me by refusing to accept the evidence and backing the astoundingly hideous crimes committed by this piece of scum, will die."
Just as Katsuro ended his declaration, a large group of equipped Uzumaki and Senju Shinobi emerged, with Kaito and Tsunade leading them. Fierce and furious expressions moulded their faces, as they stood behind Katsuro, ready to back their leader.
"Lord Katsuro- just give the command," Kaito nodded his head, briefly looking up at Danzo with satisfaction, before turning to look ahead.
Hiruzen raised his hand, quietening the voices from the clan leaders and Anbu behind him. He seethed inwardly at what was going on, unable to contain his fury.
Dammit! I never thought he would've directly attacked Danzo! He's trying to pin the blame on me for Danzo's stupidity! Now, even the other clan leaders and shinobi are wavering under his words. But I can't just let Danzo die! I need to save him for now and deal with everything else later!
No longer holding back, and not wanting to look inferior, Hiruzen's expression contorted and he too prepared for battle, in an attempt to scare Katsuro.
"Katsuro, this is your last warning. Past this point, if you do not heed my words, you will have to accept the repercussions, which you, clearly, will not be able to escape, regardless of your position," Hiruzen called out, quickly looking behind him, hoping to see the Shinobi nod or show some sort of supportive expression, but was disappointed to see they only looked uncomfortable and indecisive. Regardless, he maintained his stature and his chakra.
Unfortunately, for the Hokage, his words had the opposite of their intended effect. Katsuro chuckled darkly, his hand shaking Danzo's body with the grip on his neck, which had slightly loosened allowing him to barely breathe, but unable to move. Now, hearing the Hokage's threat, Katsuro further squeezed Danzo's throat, even more so than before, making him groan and grimace, his eyes slowly shutting and his head beginning to become limp.
"STOP!" Hiruzen cried, and rushed towards Katsuro.
