Themis felt a sense of revulsion seeing the Norse God of Trickery and Lies acting that way, as if he wanted to devour her, but not with a sexual connotation, but literally devour her!
However, what shocked her was not Loki's presence, but the presence of a Norse goddess who had Greek blood! Looking at the gothic girl with short black hair and electrifying blue eyes, a complicated feeling appeared in her expression.
"Thalia...?" Themis asked with a confused and incredulous tone. She tried to see if she was hallucinating or if it was a lie from Loki, but no matter how much she looked, the girl before her was made of flesh and blood! She had many questions in her mind.
"Great-aunt." Thalia greeted her father's ex-wife/aunt with a calm expression. The Celestial Bronze spear shone with a dazzling golden hue. Although it was just a prototype still being finalized, it was already a weapon capable of bringing about a great deal of destruction.
"You betrayed your homeland." Themis spoke with a cold tone; her eyes couldn't be more murderous at this moment. As the goddess of divine laws, she had to follow the laws spoken by Zeus, and treason was punishable by death!
"Betray?" Thalia seemed to hear something very funny. She looked at Themis and said in a calm tone. "I was never from Greece, I never swore allegiance, I never wanted to participate in this world."
If possible, she just wanted to be a normal teenager. Who in their right mind would want to risk their life daily fighting monsters? As for betrayal, it was even more ridiculous; she never swore anything, nor did she even like Greece.
"You cannot choose where you are born. Once Greek blood runs in your veins, you have no choice but to follow our laws." Themis spoke with a terribly cold tone; the silver spear began to emanate a silver aura like a river of stars.
"I refuse." Thalia was rebellious by nature; otherwise, she wouldn't have dressed the way her mother hated most, nor would she have run away from home. How could she accept being chained by something called blood and laws?
Loki and Godwyn, who were also rebellious, found Themis's words even funnier. Everyone was loyal only to their own interests, especially among the gods. Loyalty? Sorry, no one cares about that, especially the Greek gods who only liked to enjoy their time with sex and parties.
If it weren't for Zeus's threat, it is very likely that many Greek gods wouldn't even set foot on the battlefield. If it weren't for Cronus being a tyrant and Zeus having made many promises of a better life, the gods also wouldn't care who was on the throne.
"Then, die." Themis said with a cold tone while using her divine position. As soon as Themis finished speaking, Thalia felt her body gradually lose strength; a cold and deadly feeling spread through her body like a poison.
Thalia's divine power naturally fought against this, but the strength of the goddess of storms and hurricanes was still weakened by 30% in a mere instant. Thalia couldn't help but think that authorities based on intangible laws were truly powerful.
BOOMMM!!
Lightning bolts descended from the sky; the whole world seemed to have turned into a lightning storm. Lightning bolts the size of skyscrapers hit Themis in an endless rain of attacks.
Themis used her shield to defend herself from the lightning; the ground beneath her sank into a crater hundreds of meters deep. Feeling her body numb and lacking reaction, she knew she had to retreat or she would really die in that place!
However, as soon as she thought of fleeing, Loki appeared behind her. Themis used her spear and pierced the body of the Norse God, but despite feeling that the spear pierced the flesh and blood of the God of Trickery, she felt it was too easy.
Suddenly, Themis felt a figure behind her and tried to turn around, but it was too late. A dagger pierced her armor and hit her back. The next second, lightning struck her, making the goddess's body fly backward, falling to the ground like a broken doll.
Themis got up from the ground with a calm and deep look. A large part of her body was charred, but her healing factor quickly recovered her injuries. However, there was no happiness on the face of the Goddess of Divine Laws.
Just like Loki's other attack, the dagger was poisoned, and the poison was different, much more potent and deadly. Even being a Greek Titaness, who was known for her absurd regeneration, she felt that the poison was still corroding her from within.
"Did you like my daughter Jormungandr's poison?" Loki asked with an amused tone. "The poison corrodes divine power, which is quite effective against gods."
Themis certainly knew about the monster known as the World Serpent of the Norse Pantheon and couldn't help but worry about herself, as her regeneration dropped to an extremely dangerous level.
Thalia and Loki were not easy opponents, but the real problem was the boy wielding a god-king level weapon. Themis knew she could get out alive from this combo of attacks because the boy with the spear had not attacked.
Unlike Thalia and Loki, who could not cause enough damage at once to kill Themis, the boy could with his spear, which is why he was the most dangerous of all the gods present.
Godwyn looked at Themis, who was staring at him cautiously, and couldn't help but laugh. He didn't attack to give Thalia a chance to gain experience in a fight with other gods. After all, in the future, they would have to fight many gods and needed to gain experience in battle against gods.
"Don't you know that you can't distract your opponent?" Thalia took advantage of the chance that Themis was staring at Godwyn and appeared before the goddess in a mere instant. The spear in her hand advanced towards the Titaness's head with a force that would make an intercontinental missile look like a firework.
Themis shook her head to the side and spun her body, hitting Thalia's stomach with a kick.
"Girl, you should understand that warriors know how to maintain focus on different things, especially gods." The goddess of Divine Law spoke with a cold tone as she watched Thalia fly dozens of kilometers away and fall to her knees, holding her own belly.
Thalia felt an enormous pain in her belly, forcing her to bend over on the ground while coughing violently. Saliva mixed with blood escaped from her mouth as she tried to breathe.
Godwyn looked at Thalia with concern. He wanted to help, to kill Themis right now, but he repressed that feeling and watched with worry. Loki still smiled, watching with interest. As for helping, he didn't care if Thalia died or lived.
Thalia felt her body gradually relax and stood up. The electrifying blue eyes no longer appeared; lightning struck her pupils. Using anger as fuel, Thalia felt the purest feeling of power run through her veins. At that moment, she felt that she had transformed into a storm.
"Lightning." As soon as she said that, the whole world seemed to be overshadowed by a blue and white light.
Themis just blinked her eyes, and half of her body was vaporized. The other half, which was protected by the shield, was thrown backward, falling and rolling on the ground, until it finally slid across the sandy ground.
Lying on the ground, looking at the sky, Themis seemed to see Zeus wielding the Master Bolt. "I heal from all injuries." Themis's voice sounded hoarse and tired, but when she waited for the effect of her Divine Position to begin, a dagger pierced her neck.
Blood dripped from the titaness's mouth as she opened her eyes wide, staring at Loki's sadistic grin. "I... won't... die... I... am... Gaia's daughter... you... disgusting barbarian..." With a weak and failing voice, Themis pronounced each word with difficulty. Jormungandr's poison coursed through her badly wounded body, making her even weaker.
As soon as Themis spoke, Loki, Godwyn, and Thalia felt a pair of eyes looking at the battlefield. The feeling of immensity fell upon them. They knew that Gaia was watching the battlefield.
Showing a cold smile, Themis spoke. "You... will... die..." When she was about to continue, Gaia's gaze disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, making the Titaness widen her eyes.
Godwyn wanted to laugh, but he restrained himself and spoke with an amused tone. "When the Sky God raped your mother, when the Titan of Time caused so much pain to Gaia, did you help her? Did you feel sorry for her? You never helped her, and you expect her to treat you with love?"
"Don't be naive, Themis." Arriving before the Titaness of Divine Laws, Godwyn raised his spear and pointed it at the fallen deity on the ground.
"Let me tell you a secret." Godwyn said with a smile. "Your mother and aunt are conspiring with me for many things."
Themis's eyes widened; she couldn't believe what she was hearing. However, she didn't have time to process the information she had just heard.
Godwyn's spear descended; the Destined Death of the Gods pierced her armor and perforated her heart in an instant.
"Mother..." Themis's last whisper was not a curse, but regret. Just as Godwyn had said, she and all her brothers and sisters stood by and watched Uranus abuse Gaia in every way. It was the same with Cronus; she watched as he abused her.
Gaia, who was watching everything with an indifferent look, changed her expression. She showed a trace of pain, and with a movement of her hand, Themis's soul went towards the Underworld, where she would be reborn. It was the last remnant of affection a mother could have for her daughter.
Godwyn noticed this but said nothing. Themis was already dead, and even if she was reborn, it would take a long time for that to happen.
When the atmosphere was heavy, an excited voice sounded on the battlefield.
"Eris, I've arrived. Where is the night full of passion you promised?"
Everyone looked at the man with a muscular physique, curly black hair, blue eyes, elven features, and a malicious smile.
Hermes, who had just arrived, couldn't help but look at the battlefield. He looked at Themis impaled by a spear and showed a shy smile.
"Sorry to interrupt, you can continue." Hermes said with an embarrassed tone.
