Chapter 138 - CHAPTER 136 — Golden Lights and Sweet Confessions

As DK and Nian got out of the car, she stood frozen, her eyes widening in awe. His house was massive—elegant yet cozy.

DK grabbed all the camping supplies from the garage, lifting them in his arms like a hulk. When Nian turned from admiring the house and saw him walking stiffly with a dramatic face, she burst into laughter.

Walking toward him, she grabbed the rings from his hand and grinned, "Loudie~ why are you making that face?"

DK puffed out his chest. "If you carried all of this, you'd know how heavy it is."

Nian smirked. "Try me."

She took all the items effortlessly. DK's eyes widened in shock. "I should've known you're strong. I'm so silly…"

Nian chuckled, "Why'd you say that?"

He looked at the sky and said dramatically, "When you thought I was a stalker and threw me down… it was clear you could take down giants like me. These things are nothing for you."

She laughed hard. "Loudie~ don't make me do it again. Now come, or I really will throw you down."

DK straightened up and followed her obediently like a kid.

Inside, Nian's eyes sparkled as she looked around. The walls were covered with framed photos from DK's shoots. She dropped the bags and walked toward one of the walls, tracing a photo of him with her fingers.

DK turned and called, "Nian, where should we set the tent—"

He paused. The gear lay abandoned, and Nian stood fangirling over his photos. Flustered, he walked up to her. "Nian~ stop staring, come help me set the tent!"

"Wait a sec~" she said, still lost in admiration. She pointed at one of the birthday shoot photos. "Loudie~ during that Thunder MV, when you appeared last, I screamed so hard my mom knocked me on the head!"

DK burst out laughing and gently pampered her head. "Really? I was nervous every time we performed that on stage…"

"But now," Nian said warmly, "you've become a beloved idol. And you even have me. Don't worry—I'll always cheer for you."

Touched, DK hugged her. "Then I'll always look for you in the crowd when I perform."

She nodded and smiled. Then she spotted his iconic God of Light Music BTS photo. She gasped, beamed, and walked toward it.

DK panicked. "No! Don't look at that one!" He ran and covered her eyes.

She giggled. "What's wrong with it? It's fine—actually, it's smooth like butter."

Am I butter now?" he sulked dramatically.

Nian teased, "That silver chain, the rings… the way you talked in that episode—I lost my soul!"

DK crossed his arms, pouting. "You praise my weird photos more than the good ones."

"Because I fell for your character," she said softly, still looking at the photo.

DK blushed and smiled like a proud boyfriend. Nian suddenly imitated his pose and said, "Oh~ sorry, mom~"

DK gasped in embarrassment, leaned on her shoulder, and shook his head while laughing. She patted his back and chuckled.

Upstairs, they searched for the perfect spot to set the tent. Nian's eyes landed on the balcony. She smiled.

DK followed her gaze and gasped. "The balcony?!"

She smirked and nodded.

He covered his mouth like it was a scandal. But Nian had already taken the bags and walked out.

DK sighed in disbelief but followed her. As he set up the tent, sunlight streamed across his face, highlighting his bare, glowing skin.

Nian instinctively held her hand over his face to block the light. DK noticed the sudden shade, lifted his head, and smiled at her.

When the tent was done, he went inside to check it, then popped his head out and said proudly, "All set!"

"Do you have any string lights?" she asked.

"What color?"

"White or gold."

DK thought for a second. "I think I have golden ones. I'll check."

While he searched, Nian grabbed some snacks from the kitchen and returned to the balcony. She set them inside the tent and waited.

DK finally found the lights—and the bracelet he'd forgotten to give her. He sighed in relief and walked back out.

Nian took the lights, wrapped them around the tent, and switched them on. A golden glow lit the space, making it feel magical.

DK looked at her, heart racing. Nian… would you accept me if I proposed to you right now?

She turned to him with a smile. "Loudie, doesn't it look even more beautiful now?"

He stared straight at her. "Yeah… you look beautiful."

Nian blinked, stunned. Her heart skipped a beat. She stepped back in flustered disbelief—and tripped.

DK caught her in his arms and held her close.

"Thanks, Loudie…" she whispered.

DK, ever the dramatist, added, "It's okay. Or else the tent would've been ruined."

Nian scoffed and pouted as she walked into the tent. DK followed her, grinning.

"I guess I won't give you the bracelet I bought, then," he teased.

Nian turned toward him, curious. DK chuckled, gently tapped her cheeks, and pulled out the bracelet.

She took it in her hands and gasped. "Loudie… it looks just like yours!"

"I thought the same. I believe it's fate. Just like these bracelets, we were meant to be united."

She looked up at him, eyes glimmering. "You're really sweet, you know that?"

He took the bracelet, gently placed it on her wrist, and said, "From now on, we'll stay together like these bracelets. No one can break us apart."

Nian nodded softly, her heart racing.

Golden lights shimmered around them. Love filled the air.

DK leaned in and kissed her. She kissed him back. A moment passed, tender and still.

They pulled away, both shy and blushing.

DK tucked her hair behind her ear and whispered, "Nian… I love you."

She turned toward him and smiled, "Loudie~ I love you too." Then she kissed him again.

He pulled her into his arms, heart full, as they lay under the glowing tent, surrounded by laughter, warmth, and the soft beat of their forever.
