Chapter 71 - [71]. The Depths of Kaso’s Power

A torrential surge of power erupted from Kaso's body, white energy flames blazing as they engulfed him entirely.

"Not good!"

Philiya's heart pounded violently—his overwhelming aura crashed into her like a tidal wave.

Instinct took over. She fled.

In a flash, she had retreated nearly five kilometers.

And just in time.

Because the very next second—

"HAAAA!!!"

A thunderous roar tore from Kaso's throat.

His small frame unleashed a torrent of power that surged into the earth, shattering the ground beneath him. The surrounding plains split apart, massive fragments lifting as a violent white whirlwind formed around him.

The tornado quickly grew into a raging funnel stretching ten thousand meters into the sky. Chunks of earth spiraled upward in a dizzying vortex.

In an instant, the landscape was unrecognizable—completely devastated.

Kaso's aura raged like a tidal wave, shaking the skies. From a distance, he looked like a primordial Great Ape, howling in fury.

BOOM!!

The plains trembled. Sparks of silver flickered around Kaso, ionic energy condensing into glowing arcs of lightning that cracked across the heavens.

"Still not safe—!"

Philiya's breath caught in her throat.

Wave after wave of energy slammed toward her, and she was forced to retreat another five kilometers.

She finally stopped and pulled out a new-generation scouter, aiming it at Kaso.

100,000…

150,000…

300,000…!

Suddenly, a flash of fire bloomed across the display.

BOOM!

The scouter exploded.

Philiya stared at the smoking device in stunned silence, her throat dry as sand. She hadn't even realized there was no more saliva to swallow.

This wasn't a basic scouter—it was a high-grade, Lolita-engineered detector, built with rare materials and designed to measure up to 300,000 in battle power.

And it still blew up.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

And yet—

The energy vortex in the distance kept expanding.

Wind pressure surged once more, forcing her to back off yet another five kilometers.

She stood frozen in place.

"This little monster…"

Philiya could no longer find the words to describe Kaso.

She no longer believed he was only at 300,000.

It had to be more.

Maybe even… over 500,000!

In the ancient records of the Lolita Clan, there were accounts of the legendary Era of Yamoshi, where elite Saiyans possessed power levels starting at 200,000. Some had even broken past the million mark.

Philiya's breath grew rapid.

Her gaze locked on the dark speck in the middle of the roaring energy storm.

"This little brat has reached the level of ancient Saiyans…"

"And he's only nine years old!"

She didn't know Frieza's exact power level—based on her own guesses, it couldn't be more than 500 or 600 thousand at most.

But now?

Kaso was already at that level.

No wonder he dared to send Saiyans back into the universe.

At that moment, a silver lightning bolt streaked across the sky above the storm, lighting up the sky.

With a deep rumble, Kaso's monstrous aura suddenly vanished.

The howling winds died. The atmosphere calmed.

SWOOSH!

In the blink of an eye, Kaso appeared beside Philiya with a smile.

"Well? What do you think?"

"…"

Philiya stared at him without speaking.

After a long silence, she finally asked, "What's your actual power level?"

"You weren't watching with a scouter?" Kaso replied.

Philiya raised the ruined remains of the device in her hand, eyes full of disbelief.

"…"

Kaso could only sigh at the sight of the charred hunk of plastic and circuitry.

He'd expected that much.

After spending a year on Sadala—and another in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber—no one but Ausbi'er had any idea how far he had grown.

In truth… even Kaso didn't know his current battle power.

All he knew was—

he was strong enough to destroy a planet with a single wave of his hand.

But he also knew…

Frieza's final form had a power level of 120 million.

Just thinking about that number made Kaso shudder.

Philiya watched his expression shift and figured he didn't know the exact number either.

"…Let's go back."

"Yeah."

With that, the two disappeared.

One year passed.

Three years had gone by since Planet Vegeta's destruction.

With the one year spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber included, Kaso and Ausbi'er were now eleven years old.

Planet Sadala had become a true paradise of progress—its training zones and research sectors gleamed with high-tech infrastructure.

Saiyan training had never been easier.

The living district retained much of its original urban structure, but green ecology had been added for a more pleasant appearance.

Since Kaso implemented the plan for Saiyans to reenter the universe, spaceships frequently launched from or landed on the planet.

They weren't hiding anymore—they were moving.

As Kaso had mentioned before, there was a planet far from Sadala called Duoqian Star ("Many-Money Star").

It was a rich commercial world, where everything—even planets—were for sale.

Frieza's forces were rumored to have dealings there.

Following Kaso's suggestion, Garis and Kast had gone to Duoqian to "borrow" some funds.

But they discovered a strong fighter on the planet with a battle power of 150,000.

Luckily, Garis and Kast had used scouters before making any moves. If they hadn't, they might've been forced to transform into Great Ape form just to handle him.

But transforming would mean exposing their tails—and thus, their Saiyan identity.

When Bardock heard the story, he gave Kaso a solid scolding.

After all, Kaso had borrowed money from that very planet multiple times, sneaking in and out using instant transmission and his energy-concealing technique.

With his skills, he was essentially untraceable.

That was why his repeated "visits" had finally forced Duoqian's true master to reappear.

Bardock was annoyed, but at the same time, he understood.

As long as Kaso grew stronger, the Saiyans would grow more secure.

After that, Garis and the others found a Mercenary World and registered 10 official Saiyan mercenary squads.

And because of their overwhelming strength, they quickly completed all available missions—earning a fierce reputation across the Mercenary World.

The Saiyan name was spreading once more across the stars.
