The Heavenly Realm was quiet and tranquil, the air thin and still. The surrounding greenery rustled softly in the breeze.
On this day, two little brats followed behind a black-skinned figure toward a strange room.
The structure had a rounded top, a clock mounted above the door, and two massive hourglasses flanking it. A mysterious aura leaked from the slight gap in the door.
As Kaso drew closer, that aura coiled around his body, seeping through his skin into his very being—it carried a strange sensation, like time slipping through one's fingers.
Beyond that doorway lay the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Kaso knew that in the future, this room would become one of the most intense battlefields—invaded even by Majin Buu.
That time, Piccolo had tried to destroy the chamber's entrance, hoping to perish alongside Buu, but who could've predicted Buu would break his way out regardless?
Kaso thought to himself: With my current strength… if I got trapped in here, who knows how long it would take to escape?
"This room…"
Mr. Popo spoke as they walked, explaining the chamber's rules and restrictions to Kaso and Ausbi'er.
Kaso already knew most of it from the anime, but he still listened carefully. Who knew what details might've been left out in the original?
Fortunately, Popo's explanation matched what Kaso already understood.
"Make sure you both exit before the hourglass finishes running," Popo said flatly.
"I understand." Kaso nodded.
He hadn't been in the Dragon Ball world for long, and the main story hadn't even started yet. There was no way he'd gamble his life carelessly.
"Alright—we're going in."
Kaso grabbed Ausbi'er's hand and stepped inside.
Popo remained still, watching their backs with a thoughtful expression.
—
The moment they crossed the threshold, Kaso's first impression was white. Blindingly white.
A world of pure, endless white—no colors, no shadows, no end in sight. It felt boundless and hollow.
And it was hot. Stiflingly so.
After just a few steps, both of them felt a scratchiness in their throats, as if breathing itself was becoming difficult.
Kaso remembered how even someone like Goku, a battle maniac, had come out quickly the first time he entered. That said everything about how brutal this place was.
But having come to the Dragon Ball world, Kaso was determined—not to back down.
"Bia, can you handle it?" Kaso asked, a bit concerned.
"I can do it!" Ausbi'er said seriously, clenching her tiny fists.
The path of a warrior was never easy. They weren't born with a legendary Saiyan physique like Broly's—they were just elite warriors. If they couldn't endure this level of hardship, forget taking on gods like Beerus—they'd be lucky to survive Frieza!
But from the unwavering look in Ausbi'er's eyes, Kaso could tell—this girl was fearless.
A child's pure heart, undaunted by hardship. The precious spirit of martial cultivation could be seen shining in her.
That, too, was likely why Whis had taken an interest in her.
—
Time passed quickly inside.
In the endless whiteness of the Time Chamber, two small figures trained relentlessly.
"Haaah!!"
Ausbi'er launched herself upward with full force, fists blazing. Her rapid, precise movements whipped up gales that tore through the chamber's stillness.
Boom!
Their fists collided with a thunderous crash that shook the chamber like a quake.
There!
Ausbi'er became a streak of light, charging toward the sky. She and Kaso clashed again, midair, the shockwaves rippling outward.
Countless afterimages streaked across the sky, every collision echoing with explosive force. The sound of furious combat echoed non-stop.
"Bia, let's stop here," Kaso finally said, catching her small fist.
"Okay!"
They descended, calmed their breath, and floated into meditative posture.
They had spent roughly a full year inside the Time Chamber.
The environment inside was grueling. For those with weak wills, it could easily induce hallucinations.
At first, both had felt every second dragging unbearably.
But neither of them had weak minds—especially Kaso. His spiritual resilience had always been strong. While the chamber made his body uncomfortable, mentally, he remained sharp and focused.
He even thought: It's not as bad as I expected.
And Kaso had gained a lot from this year.
He reorganized all of his combat techniques and gained a much deeper understanding of how to wield ki. He was confident now that even a casual energy blast would be significantly stronger than before.
—
Back on the Lookout.
Kami stood at the edge of the floating temple, gazing down at the Earth below.
A year ago, when he first witnessed Kaso's overwhelming power, it had left him shaken. And worse, the boy wasn't even from Earth. If Kaso had harbored ill intent… Earth might've already been doomed.
Fortunately, Kaso had no evil motives. The most he'd done was take some unused Senzu Beans from Korin.
However, Korin had later confided his concerns to Kami.
Right now, Earth lacked warriors like the legendary Mutaito. If aliens ever invaded, the planet would be completely helpless.
Kami reflected on that. It was true—Earthlings lacked any real sense of urgency. If what Korin feared really came to pass… Earth would be annihilated.
So, Kami used his divine abilities to subtly influence the minds of the people below—planting the legend of a temple above Korin Tower.
He spread the idea that anyone who gained Korin's approval could ascend and train under the God of Earth.
While watching the mortal world, Kami also noticed something else—an interesting child, pure and innocent, very much like Ausbi'er.
Such purity often led to exceptional talent in martial arts.
But then he noticed something odd…
That child… had a furry tail.
Just like Kaso and Ausbi'er.
Could they be of the same race…?
—
Just then, two figures stepped out from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
"Oh, Kami! You're here too," Kaso greeted with a smile.
"Didn't want to stay the full two days?" Kami asked, leaning on his staff.
He had already learned from Popo that Kaso and Ausbi'er had entered the chamber.
And honestly, he was glad they had.
Kami understood just how terrifying their power was. If he could show them a bit of favor now—perhaps earn a few "favors" in return—then if Earth ever truly faced catastrophe, he might have someone to rely on.
"One day was enough," Kaso said with a calm smile.
Inside that single "year," he had combed through every one of his techniques. While his battle power hadn't skyrocketed, his combat prowess had changed drastically.
"They bear no ill will toward Earth… good," Kami thought, nodding subtly.
The more he watched these two, the less he could see through them.
