Uchiha Obito stood in front of the treatment pod, examining it closely with unwavering focus. His eyes studied every inch of the transparent capsule, especially the shimmering green nutrient solution within. It fascinated him. He had seen many healing techniques over the years, but never something quite like this.
"This green liquid… it's incredible," Obito murmured to himself. "It can actually accelerate healing faster than Hashirama cells. Unbelievable."
His mind began to drift as he entertained the idea of converting Hashirama cells into a similar solution. "What if we refined Hashirama cells into a liquid like this and stored it in bottles? Then, whenever someone got hurt, they could just pour it on the wound and heal instantly."
This imaginative thought captivated Obito. He stared at the pod in a trance, so absorbed in his thoughts that he didn't notice how his behavior might appear to others.
Standing nearby, Peter watched Obito with a look of alarm.
"What is going on here?!" Peter thought, his eyes wide in disbelief. "Why is he looking at Shisui like that? So intently, so... fondly?"
He began to piece together what he thought was the truth.
"Could it be? Did Shisui really use his Distinguished Heavenly Gods on Obito?"
Peter's heart pounded as he glanced from Obito to the pod containing Uchiha Shisui. Shisui floated in the green liquid, unconscious, his injuries gradually healing.
"Shisui looks like such a quiet and noble guy on the surface," Peter thought suspiciously. "But I didn't expect he had this kind of... side to him behind the scenes."
His gaze became more suspicious. "What kind of illusions did he plant in Obito's mind with that eye technique of his? Distinguished Heavenly Gods… That's a terrifying ability. If he wanted to, he could make someone abandon their original beliefs without even realizing it."
Peter took a few cautious steps back. His face showed genuine fear now.
"What if Shisui's genjutsu could change more than just thoughts? What if... what if it changed Obito's sexual orientation?!"
The more he thought about it, the more panicked he became.
"Distinguished Heavenly Gods can really do something like that. Change a man's mind completely... What will Rin do if Obito turns gay?!"
Lost in these thoughts, Peter was startled when Obito suddenly turned around.
"Boss, what's the matter?" Obito asked, tilting his head with a puzzled expression.
Peter blinked rapidly, snapping out of his internal panic. He coughed awkwardly to cover up his reaction.
"Ahem... Obito, let me ask you something," Peter said hesitantly. "Who's your favorite person?"
Obito was visibly surprised by the question. His expression froze for a moment, then softened.
Without hesitation, a face appeared in his mind. A girl with kind eyes and a gentle smile—Nohara Rin.
Obito's expression turned melancholic as memories of the past flooded in. He saw again that fateful moment—Rin dying in his arms, blood staining her clothes, her final words still echoing in his ears.
He lowered his gaze and replied in a hoarse voice, "Boss, I… I did have someone I loved. A girl. Her name was Nohara Rin. But she died many years ago."
Hearing Obito's answer, Peter let out a long sigh of relief. "Thank God. At least his orientation hasn't changed."
He patted Obito's shoulder sympathetically. "It's okay, Obito. In the future, once you've earned enough money, there might be a way to bring her back."
Obito's eyes lit up with a spark of hope. "Really, Boss? You think so?"
Peter nodded solemnly. "Definitely. In this world, if you have enough power and money, even resurrection isn't impossible."
Obito clenched his fists and nodded firmly. "You're right. I'll work hard. I'll earn enough and bring her back!"
Peter smiled approvingly. "That's the spirit. Come on, you've got this."
Just then, the sound of the pod's mechanical locks disengaging filled the room. The capsule hissed open, and a faint mist escaped into the air.
Uchiha Shisui stepped out of the pod, his eyes blinking as they adjusted to the light. He looked down at his body, astonished to find that all of his wounds were gone.
He flexed his fingers and rotated his shoulders, marveling at the full range of motion. "Amazing… The treatment worked better than I ever imagined."
He turned toward Obito with gratitude in his eyes. "Senior, thank you. My injuries have healed completely."
Obito gave a satisfied nod. "That's good. If you're all better, then let's go."
Shisui nodded eagerly. "Yes, Senior!"
Peter stood to the side, watching the two of them interact. Something felt off. He narrowed his eyes.
"There's something strange going on between them… I just can't put my finger on it."
He glanced from Obito to Shisui, noting how they stood close together, how they spoke to each other with warmth and familiarity.
Peter shook his head. "No, this isn't right. Did Shisui really not use any illusions on Obito? Are they really acting like this of their own free will?"
"Boss, we'll get going now," Obito said politely.
Peter snapped out of his daze. "Oh... sure. Come by whenever you're free."
Obito smiled and turned to Shisui. "Let's go."
The two Uchiha left side by side, walking in step.
Peter stared after them in confusion. "Is their relationship really that normal? I feel like I'm going crazy."
Outside the shop, the sun was shining brightly. A gentle breeze rustled the trees.
Obito reached out and draped an arm casually around Shisui's shoulder. He looked guilty. "Shisui, I brought you here to buy something, but because of me, we spent all the money on treatment. I didn't get you anything."
Shisui smiled warmly. "It's okay, Senior. You spent money to heal me. That's more important."
Obito was touched by the younger man's words. He gently ruffled Shisui's hair. "Now that you're healed, let's head back to Konoha. We need to get your eye back."
Shisui's expression turned serious as he nodded. "Yes, Senior. Thank you... You've been so good to me."
Peter had followed them quietly and peeked out from behind a corner. The moment he saw Obito pat Shisui's head, his eyes widened in horror.
"No, no, no! What am I seeing? The infamous head-pat?!"
He covered his face dramatically. "My eyes! Damn it, don't do this kind of scene in a hot-blooded action story! This is the Naruto world, not a romance anime!"
Peter was now convinced. "It's over. They're definitely in a relationship. Something's seriously wrong here!"
He looked up at the sky, despair clouding his thoughts. "Is this still the Naruto world I know? Or did I fall into some strange alternate universe?"

Konoha Village
Later, in a quiet corner of Konoha, Shisui held out a skewer of dango—a traditional three-colored meatball treat.
"Senior, try this. It's really good!" he said, offering it to Obito with a smile.
Obito looked at the meatballs, stunned. A distant memory hit him like a wave.
Back then, Rin had offered him the exact same snack, her eyes full of gentle affection. She had laughed and said, "Come on, Obito. Try it, it's sweet!"
His chest tightened. He reached out slowly and took the skewer. "I haven't eaten this in years…"
He put the first meatball into his mouth. The soft texture and sweet flavor brought back memories of happier days.
"It still tastes the same…" Obito whispered, his voice almost trembling. "Just like how it used to."
As he stood there, letting the past wash over him, Obito suddenly blinked and shook his head.
"Wait! Why are we eating meatballs? Didn't we come here to kill Shimura Danzō?!"
Shisui's eyes widened as realization dawned. "Ah! You're right, Senpai. I forgot."
Obito turned serious again. "Business comes first."
Shisui nodded in agreement. "According to my intel, Shimura Danzō is still in the Hokage's office at this time. I can take you in through a secret route."
Obito shook his head. "No need. I know the way."
As they turned to head toward the Hokage's office, a shadow of determination passed over both their faces. The memories, the healing, the confusion—it would all have to wait.
Their mission had just begun.
