Harry questioned, "TC points?"
Nova answered, "TC points are a type of currency, like galleons in the magical world and pounds or dollars in the Muggle one. These TC points are a special currency for a special shop, but it's too early for you to know about that shop. Anyway, this library is not mine; I just contributed knowledge to it and gained many benefits. So, my advice is to earn TC points."
Hermione crossed her arms, thoughtful. "So basically, if we want to unlock more content faster, we either pass the test or earn these TC points?"
Nova nodded. "Exactly. Both paths are open. One takes effort in study, the other through contribution and experience."
Harry raised an eyebrow. "And what kind of 'contributions' are we talking about? Also how to earn these TC points?"
Nova gave a small smile. " TC points can be earned using various methods. But currently they are not available to you both. You can only do a few things."
Hermione frowned.
Unavailable? she echoed inwardly, irritation flickering beneath her calm expression. What's the point of introducing a system like this if we can't access most of it? That's like giving someone a library card and then locking all the shelves.
She bit back a sigh and asked, "Then what are the methods available to us?"
Harry also leaned in curiously. Meanwhile, the previously silent Granger couple also looked over with interest.
Nova just smiled, "It's basically related to research or gathering knowledge."
Hermione's brows furrowed. "What kind of research? Do we choose the topic ourselves, or is it assigned?"
Harry added, "And what does 'gathering knowledge' even mean? Like reading books? Interviewing people? Taking notes?"
John Granger glanced between them. "Do you evaluate what they find? Or is it more like submitting a report?"
Nova nodded, still calm. "Topics for research—you can choose them on your own, as long as they're relevant and not already documented in the library."
He paused, then continued with a small smile. "As for gathering knowledge, you'll be doing that using the ring."
Hermione tilted her head, glancing down at the ring on her finger. "How?"
Nova's smile widened. "This ring has a scanning function. All you need to do is place your finger—wearing the ring—on a book for about five to ten seconds. The ring will scan and store the entire contents into the digital library."
Hermione's eyes lit up—she practically sparkled with excitement.
"A full book scan in seconds?" she whispered, almost reverently.
Then a thought struck her, and she asked quickly, "Wait… can we scan books in stores? Without buying them?"
Nova only smiled in response.
Harry let out a low whistle. "That's wicked."
"And illegal," Hermione pointed out immediately, though her tone was more interested than disapproving.
Nova raised an eyebrow. "Will that stop you?"
Hermione hesitated for just a beat—then quickly shook her head. "Not at all."
Harry smirked. "Well, well… Hermione Granger, book thief in the making."
Hermione gave him a sharp look. "It's for academic purposes."
Nova chuckled. "That's how it starts."
Harry leaned back, grinning. "Next thing we know, she'll be banned from Flourish and Blotts for scanning the whole store in one afternoon."
John Granger, who had been quietly observing, raised an eyebrow. "So this is the slippery slope? First magical scanning, next… black market textbooks?"
Emma, sipping her tea, added with a smile, "Honestly, I'd be more surprised if she didn't try it."
Hermione flushed slightly. "Oh, come on! I'm not that bad."
Nova held up a hand, mock-serious. "Don't worry. I'll make sure your criminal record starts with a warning, Professor Granger."
Hermione opened her mouth to respond, but couldn't help the small laugh that escaped. "You're all impossible."
Harry leaned toward her with a grin. "Admit it—you're already planning which section of the library to hit first."
She didn't deny it, which caused others to laugh.
------
Soon the group started discussing things, while Nova leaned back on his seat.' I didn't expect that first person to access the library would be these two. They should count themselves lucky that they are first people to access the library, so they gained access rank very high. Otherwise each year Hogwarts books would have costed them a lot of points.'
He created library, just for the trade purpose. Afterall knowledge is power. This library would become a key part for the Trader's shop.
To access different ranks of knowledge, you need TC points.
To earn TC points, you need to do quests for the trader.
The quests, they are either are issued by trader itself or by other customers.
In the end, he is earning and gaining, no matter the way.
Nova snapped out of his thoughts as a soft pulse echoed through his wards.
A ping… Someone touched the outer boundary.
His eyes sharpened. So, it's arrived, huh?
He glanced at Harry and smiled. So it's here huh?
Then he shifted his tone and added with a slight frown, "It seems an owl is here. With a letter."
The effect was instant. Everybody tensed, afterall they got attacked by werewolves last night.
Nova ignored the tension thickening in the room and stood up with calm finality. "You all wait here. I'll go get it."
Without waiting for a response, he vanished in a ripple of air.
The morning aboveground was still and quiet, mist curling low over the grass. A brown owl flapped in slow circles near the wardline, clearly frustrated at not being able to enter.
Nova reappeared mid-air, just outside the outer ward, right in the owl's path.
The bird let out a sharp screech, wings jerking wide in surprise. It swooped back, glaring at Nova with narrowed golden eyes, feathers puffed in indignation.
"Easy there," Nova murmured, unfazed. "You're a dramatic one."
The owl hooted low and grumpily, shifting from foot to foot mid-hover.
Reaching into his inventory, Nova pulled out a strip of fresh rabbit meat—lean, skinned, and magically cooled to keep it fresh for long-distance delivery owls.
He held it up.
The owl's eyes locked onto the offering, and after a beat of stubborn staring, it flapped down with haughty precision and landed nearby.
With a dignified snap of its beak, it snatched the meat, swallowed it quickly, then offered its leg without further complaint.
Nova smoothly untied the letter. How interesting.
How does these owls distinguish that a person will pass the letter to whom it's adressed to?
Like he could be a kidnapper, or anything, so how?
Maybe some special owl magic or something?
As soon as the parchment left its leg, the owl launched back into the air with a short hoot and flapped away into the mist.
Nova turned the letter over, noting the elegant wax seal.
St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. The symbol gleamed in silver-blue magic.
Then his eyes landed on the name:
To: Harry James Potter
A faint smile touched his lips. Right on time.
With a soft shimmer of light, he vanished again—reappearing in the trunk's main room just a moment later.
Holding the envelope between two fingers, he addressed Harry directly. "Letter from St. Mungo's. It's addressed to you."
Harry took it carefully, staring at the seal for a long second. His heart gave a dull thud.
"St. Mungo's?" Hermione said quickly, standing up beside him. Her eyes flicked between Harry and the envelope. "Is it about—?"
Harry didn't answer. He'd already broken the seal, fingers trembling slightly. He unfolded the parchment, scanning the contents.
His eyes darted quickly across the page—once, then again slower, just to make sure he hadn't misunderstood.
Then his breath caught.
His hands shook a little more now, but not out of fear. Something else—something messier. Hope. Shock.
"She's awake…" he whispered. "Mum… she's awake."
For a moment, the whole room went silent. The weight of those words dropped like a stone.
Emma Granger gasped softly, a hand rising to her mouth. John Granger looked startled, unsure what to say.
Hermione moved first, gently placing a hand on Harry's shoulder. "She woke up? When?"
Harry checked again. "Early this morning. They said… her mind's stable. Memory's foggy, but she's conscious. She's asking for me."
Hermione squeezed his shoulder. "That's incredible, Harry."
He looked up, stunned, as if the reality was still catching up to him. "I thought she was gone… I mean—not dead—but… it's been years. I didn't think I'd ever talk to her again."
Nova gave a small nod, speaking with quiet certainty. "She's strong. Stronger than most would expect."
Harry turned the letter over in his hands, then looked at Nova. "Can we go? I—I need to see her."
Nova nodded. "Of course. Just get ready—we'll leave in ten minutes."
Hermione immediately stepped forward. "I'll go too."
Nova gave her a brief nod, already expecting it, then turned to the Granger couple, who were exchanging a glance.
John cleared his throat. "Actually… if it's not too much trouble, could you drop me off somewhere in downtown London? I've got someone to meet."
Nova tilted his head slightly, then replied, "As long as it's not your house. Best to stay away for now, there's no telling if someone's still watching it."
As he spoke, a thought flickered in the back of his mind.'Meeting someone, huh? Must be that mistress that Emma told me about.'
Emma gave a small shake of her head. "I won't be going anywhere. I'll just stay here and keep the place in order."
Nova glanced at her briefly but said nothing. He simply turned toward Harry and Hermione again. "Pack what you need. We move in ten."
