The reason the Sacred Evil Lion didn't discover Ye Tianfan was that demon beasts usually rely on scent and sound to locate people. Since Ye Tianfan made no noise and his scent was dispersed by the soil, the Sacred Evil Lion did not see Ye Tianfan at the top of the tree, and thus did not discover him.
Of course, this did not mean Ye Tianfan was safe, as he still faced a major challenge: to take two or three pieces of Holy Light Ore under the watch of the Sacred Evil Lion. Moreover, he couldn't take too many Holy Light Ore pieces either.
Otherwise, the balance between Holy Light Ore and Evil Light Ore would be disrupted, potentially causing the entire Saint and Evil Light Ore vein system to collapse.
If the system collapses, the Saint and Evil Light Ore vein will cease to produce ore. As a result, the Sacred Evil Lions will use up both the Holy Light Ore and Evil Light Ore, eventually exhausting them. Then, this lineage of Sacred Evil Lions would face extinction.
