Chapter 81 - ep:75"Between Sleep And Silence"

Han was still unconscious in the hospital. In his dream, he saw something — a memory that felt all too real. His father had asked him to meet a businessman for a project. Everything was going smoothly at first, but then a waiter accidentally spilled wine on his shirt. The man told Han to go to his room and clean it, so Han went upstairs without thinking much.

But as soon as he stepped out of the washroom, he began to feel dizzy. He tried to drink some water, yet the glass slipped from his hand and fell — and so did he. When he regained a bit of consciousness, he realized he was lying on the bed, and that man was opening his shirt buttons.

Han was confused, his body heavy and weak. Panic rose inside him, but he could barely move. "Sir… what are you doing?" he said, trying to stop him. He struggled to push him away, but his hands had no strength. Desperately, he grabbed the alarm clock from the side table and hit the man with it. The man fell back, groaning in pain. Han gathered every bit of strength left in him and tried to run, but the man caught up, pulling him back toward the bed. Han resisted, but his body refused to cooperate. The man pushed him down and began strangling him. Han tried to fight, tried to scream — but everything went dark.

When he opened his eyes again, he was at Seungmin's house. His mind was foggy, his memories blurred. As he walked out of the room, he saw Mr. Choi arguing with Seungmin — insulting him harshly. Han couldn't understand what it was about. When Seungmin saw him, he immediately came and guided Han back to his room, making him lie down. Han could barely move; the only thing he could feel was pain in his neck. Soon after, he drifted back to sleep.

When he woke up again, Seungmin wasn't there. Days passed — a whole week — and Seungmin never came home. Han stayed alone, lost between confusion and loneliness.

And now at the hospital, when he was sleeping , he woke up to see Seungmin sitting beside his bed, his head resting on it. Gently, Han placed his hand on Seungmin's head. That small touch woke him up.

"Han, you're awake. Let me call the doctor," Seungmin said quickly.

But Han held his hand weakly. "No… I'm fine. Don't call him."

"Is there pain in your arm?" Seungmin asked.

Han frowned slightly. "My arm? What happened to it?"

Seungmin sighed. "You fell on broken glass."

"Oh… it wasn't hurting before," Han smiled faintly. "But now that you said it, I think it does."

Seungmin tried to smile but stood up. "It really hurts. I'll call the doctor." Then he left the room.

Han's heart sank again. He had been so happy to see Seungmin when he woke up, but now… the tone of his voice felt cold, distant — like he was just doing his duty. It didn't sound like care.

The doctor came in soon after. "How are you feeling?" he asked kindly. "Do you feel any pain in your head or anywhere else?"

Han smiled politely. "No, I'm fine. Just a little pain in my arm."

"It will hurt for a while," the doctor said. "It's a fresh wound."

Seungmin suddenly turned to him, his tone sharp. "What do you mean it will hurt? Do something. Why is he still in pain?"

The doctor gave an awkward laugh. "Young man, don't be so angry. He'll be fine. And he's saying himself that he's fine."

Han quickly said, "Yes, Seungmin. I'm fine. Come, sit down."

Seungmin silently did as told, sitting beside him.

The doctor continued, "Alright, then we'll discharge you soon. You can go home. Just make sure the wound doesn't get wet. And I've arranged an appointment with a psychologist. You can meet him if you feel like it — no pressure. We just want you to rest and not feel any stress."

Then, with a soft smile, the doctor left the room.
