Chapter 46 - Bhaskar Chowdhury's POV (Part 2)

'Huh! Finally at home!' sighed Bhaskar.

'Why do I feel like I have seen that hourglass before? Wait, I think I saw some letters written underneath it too. What was written on it?'

I bought a milkshake from the nearby cafe only to see Ajay and Rina together.

I quickly hid behind the pillars to listen to their conversation.

'Hahahaha! You are still funny, like you are...' exclaimed Rina.

'Why is she laughing at him? Wait! Did I miss my chance? Are they already together?'

'Can I give some advice to you, Rina?' asked Ajay.

'What?'

'Be aware of Bhaskar.'

Rina was dumbfounded, obviously proven by her face.

'Why?'

'You will understand later.'

Ajay got up, leaving the cafe.

'But, why? Give me the answer to that. He already tried to help once before. I am the one who misunderstood him. I would rather not misunderstand him again.'

'Pfft—you have a long way to go.'

They both left the cafe, then.

'What is wrong with that guy? Acting all creepy,' pouted Bhaskar.

'Excuse me, sir. Are you searching for someone?'

'Eh!'

'If not, can you please leave? Others are uncomfortable with you acting like a spy here!'

'Eh! A-ah! Yeah! Yeah! I am going. I am going.'

(In my mind) 'Tomorrow, my shooting will begin too at the same time. I won't be able to go to that university.'

I went back to my home, giving up my chances of love.

'Let's read some novel to light up the mood. Aww! My favorite—ORV!'

I went to the shelf to bring the book. However, while I was removing the book from a row of neatly arranged books on the shelf, a diary unexpectedly fell out with it.

'Diary?'

I opened it. It still looks like brand new, but the diary is from 2018. But something was written on the first three pages. I read the whole thing, making my mind blank.

The note:

If you are reading this note, that means you lost your memories already. This note was written by you two years from where you are. First of all, you are not Bhaskar. You are Ajay Dash. It is your second chance in this life. In your previous time, you died in a plane crash that took place in 2025. Then, you regressed back 10 years to the past. However, your soul ended up in the body of Bhaskar, whom you knew as a class bully in primary school. I don't know quite about what happened to actual Bhaskar's soul. You were given an hourglass that helps you to see the future, mainly through night dreams from time to time. Its power increases as you grow older. Therefore, still now, to see those dreams, there should be a time limit for it. In 2018, you could see two dreams per month. Maybe more in your time. I or you from the past know about this car accident and memory loss through this ability to see the future. I just couldn't stop it from happening. The hourglass is kept in the store box of the bed. Keep all these a secret. Even from Rina. Rina can also be one of us who regressed back. Please help her. If you have any questions, wait for your memories to return.

'What? That's quite a lot of information. Am I a wizard? Wow! That means Rina is also a witch. We are made for each other! Okay! Now, it's time to search for the hourglass.'

I went through the store box of the bed. I wasn't able to find the hourglass except for a puzzle box. That locked box can only be opened by solving a tricky puzzle—removing the right wooden pieces from each section, like those old Chinese puzzle boxes once used to send secret messages.
