Chapter 45 - Unmasking The Truth Begins

I went back to the nurse's chamber.

'That bastard is arrested. I asked them to not spread any news about what happened.'

'I see.'

'Is everything okay? Your expression is telling me something happened.'

I told them about the crime that is taking place.

'Wait, I heard that someone stabbed you too,' said Emma.

'It is related to it too.'

'So, you are saying that this murderer is killing people around, which included you? But why?' asked Emma.

'Well, I don't know.'

'Do you have someone in your mind?' asked Aisha.

'I have many on my list. But I am not giving the answer to this right now; after all, nothing is proved. Additionally, the officer instructed me to stay in contact and mentioned that he will return tomorrow to discuss some investigation with me.

'Here, take these medicines as given by the nurse. You are a junior, right?' asked Bhaskar, entering the room.

'Yeah, first-year.'

'Oh! I see.'

'Are you still gritting your teeth now?'

'Why will I not, ha?! Why will I not? That fucking bastard. Now, I feel like I got a punch and hit him more.'

I stood up and patted his hair. 'Calm down; everything is okay right now. Thank you for helping us, too.'

'Hey, be honest. You two are dating, right?' asked Emma with eyes sparkling with curiosity.

'Go to hell!'

'Pfft—hahahahahaha!' laughed Aisha, and we all laughed along with her.

We went back to our classroom.

'Rina, are you okay?' asked Ajay out of nowhere.

'Ah! I am fine.'

'You are really brave and courageous.'

'Thank you! By the way, I have a question to ask of you.'

'Yes.'

'You once told me that you wanted to be a model, you wanted to be an actor, a big actor! Why did you choose to be a pilot at the end?'

'Well, you see, we came from a very poor family, unlike Bhaskar. I wanted to be one like him. But, you see, actor, models should have some standards too. Their height, walk, and fashion sense have to be perfect. And you know too that choices change always. And apart from all, I love travelling, you see.'

'Hmmm. I see.'

'Are you somehow dating Bhaskar?'

'Ah! Nooo!' I blushed, resulting in second-hand embarrassment.

'So, you like him. But didn't confess!'

He looked at me blankly with a notorious smile.

'Looks like I have a chance too.'

'What are you talking about?'

'It's just—' He looked at me, and I looked at him. But, unconsciously, we are a bit close, making me feel uncomfortable. 'Nothing.'

'Huh!'

On the other hand,

'What the hell are these two talking about, huh? How can that bastard be so close to my Rina? How dare he? But, apart from all of this, why do I feel like I have seen that bastard before? But where? (In Bhaskar's mind) Looking at him makes my head ache like a storm. As if I am missing a big thing. A very important memory! Even the hourglass that I have seen her use to travel back to the past is also familiar, as if I have seen it somewhere. The strangest thing out of all is that only I and Rina knew about traveling back to the past, and nobody knew or sensed anything. All that happened that day seems to be related to me too if I am not wrong.'
