Chapter 233 - They don’t know what kind of magic that was.

"He went back to the recovery room after the fight and has been unconscious ever since."

"Is that possible?"

Virelle looked at Enrico, who was unconscious in bed, showing no signs of waking up again—at least for a while. Angela was the one taking care of him, being careful not to strain his body too much.

"Idiot disciple."

'The young master is too careless, but it wasn't his fault that the damned fire cancer happened at that moment.'

"It wasn't just the fire cance… all that blood that came out before Lira landed that hit wasn't from the cancer."

"…If he has another illness, I'll curse the Solcren Ferreira family for it."

Every time she thought about how Enrico's family only began to acknowledge him after he became stronger, she got angry. They didn't even know he had one illness, and now a second one? This was clear proof of how neglected he had been by his family.

"The worst part is that this is normal in this world when someone doesn't show potential in childhood."

"I don't understand why you act like this, Angela. If these people don't have potential, then at least they should use their intelligence to stand out from the others."

"Not everyone is like Enrico, miss."

Virelle rolled her eyes, already knowing that, but she still had remnants of hatred toward the weak—even though now she cared for her students, even the weak ones.

"How long until he recovers?"

"Given the state of his body, a full day. It'll be impossible for him to fight the rematch against Lira with his body in this condition… well, at least he's already among the top fifteen depending on the fight points."

With a small smile, Virelle shook her head. It was still difficult for him to get in, but it was a better chance than before. The victory against Sakura had been quick and without major damage. Without a doubt, it was a decisive win, earning ten points for the victory and extra points for the battle.

"That's good, but I think we have something to discuss."

"How long have you been there, old man?"

"I just arrived."

Hao had just entered through the door. He wanted to come earlier but had to talk with the Queen, who had become interested in the magic Enrico used against Sakura. He even had to tell her he didn't know what it was since it was the first time he'd seen it too.

"I had to bring someone very interested in that magic with me."

"Who are you—"

"So this is young Enrico. It's good to meet young people with potential."

Both Virelle and Angela were surprised at Queen Sofia's appearance as she entered the room, curiosity gleaming in her eyes. The two women in front gave a light bow as she passed by them.

"Have you discovered what kind of magic it is?"

"No, Queen Sofia. It's something we've never seen before, so it's possible it's a unique magic."

"When will he wake up?"

"Possibly tomorrow. We don't know the exact hour, but he will wake up."

Hao approached and placed his hand on Enrico's head. The three women knew he was trying to discover Enrico's abilities through his magic.

"Blocked… I really can't break the barrier this God placed on him."

"God? What do you mean, Hao?"

"Your Majesty will know soon, as our king will invite all five kings of the continent to a meeting that will happen in a few months. He even sent me to deliver the invitation to you."

"Interesting. I hope it won't be a waste of time."

"It won't be, you can be sure of that."

The Queen of Vesparello had a certain curiosity for new things. It wasn't something on the level of the continent's only tenth-circle mage, which was absurd, but it was a small spark of curiosity in her otherwise tedious world.

'I hope it's something good to break this boredom—just like these qualifiers did… Why did I decide to become queen again? Oh right, my family.'

Her family was full of kings; what happened was that her older brother decided to leave, and the responsibility fell on her as the only one fit for the position.

"It's a shame he isn't awake. Tomorrow, when he's better, I hope we can have a conversation."

"Your curiosity is great, my queen."

"It's nothing compared to your brother's, Director Hao."

She was right—if that idiot brother of his found out a new unique magic had appeared, if he could do it without declaring war on King Alaric, he'd want to open Enrico's mind to see how it worked. Although, it was possible he'd open it and then fix it afterward.

"I'll keep this a secret from him. I don't want my student to go through that."

"You'd better, or I'll become a tenth-circle mage just to kill him if he lays a hand on my disciple."

"Then you'd better hurry, you irritating prodigy."

Both Hao and Sofia left the room, leaving the two alone with unconscious Enrico. Virelle placed a blanket over his body while Angela looked worried after hearing about Hao's brother.

"They're right, miss—that man—"

"Don't worry. I just need to become a tenth-circle before he finds out."

Surprised, she saw Virelle sit on the bed, thoughtful. She really was the best master for her disciple, so with a small smile, Angela decided to do the same.

"Professor, may we come in?"

"I want to see my Ketsumei."

"That's right. They've already left, and you've already checked the master's condition, so we can stay by his side."

"I saw the broadcast—Enrico used a new magic. When will he wake up?"

"I can't believe he evolved again—damn, I'm falling behind."

The two women sighed as they saw all of his companions entering the room with worry and excitement over the new power he had shown.

"Everyone, shut up! The young master is resting."

"Sorry."

Everything had turned out fine, with the only problem being that there was still a chance he'd be left out of the top fifteen for not fighting in the sixth round.

"How many points did I get for him not showing up?"

"Six points, since you already won the first match."

"If that's the case, then I'll give him half of the points. You all saw that the fight was quite close, and he even seemed stronger in the fifth round."

"What?"

There was still a chance he could be left out—but the next morning, Lira gave him half of her points, and the queen, along with those who understood what had really happened, agreed.
