Chapter 12 - c11: Raijin: Thunder Heart

[Warning! Enabling Shinobi Arts will reset the player's Level.]

"Enable," I muttered under my breath. With my measly eight levels, it didn't really matter. Besides, it was easy to gain experience points in this world.

You just have to farm the enemies! A few days ago, I successfully crossed through the portal and arrived here. Coincidentally, the portal opened in the street of some Daimyo's land. I originally wanted to talk first, but he had his people attack me—I had to return the favor.

After killing them, I gained a bit of xp. While not a lot—not even as much as a chicken back in my world, it was something. Especially considering this world is full of ninjas. I can't efficiently make a mob farm back home, maybe I can make one here?

Thinking about it, I shook my head. I was getting ahead of myself. This world has fire breathing humans, and they're not even the biggest threat. The Uchiha clan, the Senju… but I can't help it.

Especially after getting this new mod. Things felt like it'd be easy.

[Shinobi Arts: The path of a ninja is not easy. One must gain the blessing of the gods, or they might never return from their mission. Choose your first god to worship. {Suijin, Ryujin, Kagutsuchi, Homusubi, Fujin, Shinatsuhiko, Okuninushi, Dosojin, Raijin, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi}]

"Choose your first god to worship" , that line excited me the most. I may not have a clue who in the world all these gods are, but since the description said I'll gain their blessing, I have an idea. Worshipping them might mean I'll get their corresponding power, so what will happen when I finally worship them all?

Wait a minute.

"Raijin, Amaterasu, and Tsukuyomi? I remember these," I muttered, setting aside the scrolls Daimyo Kinko gave me. I couldn't read them, anyway.

That aside, if I remember correctly, Raijin is the god from the Flying Raijin jutsu, right? Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi sound familiar too. I can't remember where I heard it before, but I know it has something to do with the main characters of the show…

"Flying Raijin Jutsu lets you teleport… well, ain't that convenient? I get to use slash (/) tp," I snicker at the idea.

Raising my hand, I pressed Raijin's name.

[Raijin — Amidst thunder and lightning, you find yourself cornered by the enemy samurai. But suddenly, a lightning strike befell from the darkened sky, diverting the samurai's attention, just enough for you to escape safely. Choose your blessing:

Lightning Strike Jutsu, Thunder Heart Jutsu .)]

"Hm… thankfully, it's in English," I breathed a sigh of relief. If the names of the blessings were in japanese, I'd be guessing blindly what it does.

"Lightning strike jutsu is straightforward enough, but what is thunder heart jutsu?" My brows furrowed on their own. I doubt it meant replacing my heart with thunder.

"I'll play it safe," I shrugged, about to tap on the former jutsu. "Wait—wasn't the Flying Raijin Jutsu… also called Flying Thunder God Jutsu?" I hesitated for a moment.

In the end, I moved my hand a little.

[(Inactive) Thunder Heart Jutsu — As you rush back home, you couldn't help but think of the rumbling thunder that kept you calm. Thanking the god that saved you, you resolve yourself to build them a small shrine.

(Requirements: Torii gate, Honden, Statue of Raijin, Sacred Territory, Offerings)]

"...What the hell is a Torii gate and a Honden???"
