"the charts are looking good, we have a lot of profit and the company will be stable for a very long time according to the data" a man standing by a chart said "that's great news, she worked so hard it would be a shame for it to collapse suddenly" a young lady seated with her legs on the office table responded, "you could say that but there's still a lot of paper work to cover" the man by the chart replied walking towards the desk, swatting her legs from the office table he leaned on the table "but we still have a lot of paper work to do Veronica, you shouldn't slack off"
"spare me your nagging Javier, there's a reason I let her do all the work" veronica said rolling her eyes, straightening her suit she sat up crossed her leg and focused on pressing her phone "but if these keep piling you don't expect her to rise from the dead and continue the work" Javier said walking towards the couch at the side of the office, he sat down and crossed his leg, if he had known veronica knew nothing of her dads company he would have insisted on keeping Estella alive for the sake of the company
furrowing her eyebrows she exhaled angrily, standing up she tossed her phone to into her bag "if you cared about her so much you should have said so before we killed her" she said storming out of the office, Javier stood up hurrying behind her "hey where are you going?" "to have lunch and away from you don't follow me" veronica said stomping through the company she was seething with anger and hatred, even in death Estella was still better than her. getting into her car she drove to the restaurant close to the company, going to the bar was an option but it was to early to drink and she respected the company's protocol.
Javier stood at the entrance of the company, he watched veronica's car drive away frowning he walked back into the building it was getting frustrating dealing with her tantrums but he couldn't afford to offend her, he didn't know what she might do in afit of rage and he didn't want to find out, he still needed to oversee his father's company and tidal tech at the same time, which was tiring it would have been easier if Veronica knew the basics of business but she didn't, she only ever cared about what she gained from everything and hated loosing. he was beginning to regret loosing Estella.
veronica sat in the restaurant sipping a glass of red wine, her eyes calm like the ocean waves she was looking through her phone her eyes glued on a designer bag, it was a limited edition and only one remained in the world, scrolling down she was about to click order when it suddenly showed unavailable, which meant someone already got it. she frowned "why is today becoming more annoying" she whispered dropping her half empty glass of wine she walked out of the office and decided to drive home, she was done for the day.
I sat comfortable on the couch in my room, with my laptop on my lap I had work to do, checking the stocks I invested in the companies, they were doing well like I predicted all I needed to do was use some of the money to raise my own company and by raise I meant finally make it big enough to be widely recognized and popular, the company was always there I just didn't want it well known until now, and finally it would be a good piece for my revenge in taking down tidal tech.
placing my laptop on the side stool I picked up my phone, I ordered a limited edition designer bag, it thought it would go well with a shoe I saw in my closet, it should be ready by tomorrow, a call came in it wasn't a saved number, well it wouldn't be I only had alec's number saved in my phone, im guessing its Jake. picking up the call "hello" I said "Estella its Jake" the person on the other line replied, frowning I told you not to call me that" I said he really just decided to get on my nerves "im sorry, I wanted to tell you im at the address you gave me and I cant move further without the permission of the house owner, you sure this is the right address?" I hung up the call, I wasn't going to reply that question.
walking out of my room I called for George "mistress you called me" he said bowing, I wasn't really comfortable him bowing to me like that but I also didn't have the energy to persuade him to stop so I just overlooked it "there's someone at the first gate, could you inform them to let him in thank you" I said walking towards the living room for guest "oh and when he comes in please direct him to room 2" I said before walking further.
walking into the room, I was mesmerized by the interior design it had almost the same pattern as the master's bedroom, the whole house was grey with gold undertone, the sitting arrangements were really professional, it wasn't to bright so I switched on the general light so we could see better "alec really outdid himself with this villa and he wanted to destroy it" I said to myself, there was definitely a screw loose in his head. looking at the center table I rang the bell, the girl who attended to me when I first came walked in with her head down
"how can I help you mistress" she said, I stared at her for a bit it would be hard getting used to this treatment, even the servants in my adopted home didn't treat me with this much respect "please, prepare some snacks for my guest" I said, bowing she left. sighing deeply I walked to a couch and sat down. soon Jake and George walked into the room, with Jake's expression I could tell he still didn't believe this was my house. standing up "thank you George, you may go" I said releasing George, he bowed and left.
looking back at gaping Jake I tapped him to bring him back to the room "Jake please take a sit" I said gesturing him to one of the couches, walking to the couch he sat down "you have some explaining to do" he said eyes full of curiosity and his full attention on me. "i didn't call you here to explain, you're here for business remember?" I said, I obviously wont tell him anything yet till I trusted him well enough, "but..." "Jake business" I interrupted him looking at him dead in the eye, sensing how serious if was he brought up his bag and removed the files in it.
