Chapter 248: Perfect Jinchuriki!
From his Large Sealing Scroll, Nara Keisuke quickly took out the great sword, Samehada, and slapped a Flying Thunder God marker on its hilt. "Go! Samehada!"
He threw the massive blade at the rampaging Killer B like a giant brick. Samehada, as if with a mind of its own, opened its toothy maw and bit down hard on B's leg. Though the Tailed Beast chakra protected him from being severed, the sword's innate ability activated instantly.
It began to feast on the Eight-Tails' chakra. The dark red energy around B's leg rapidly receded, and Samehada, gorging itself on the meal, began to swell in size, its own wounds from the previous battle healing. In just a few breaths, it was almost as large as B himself.
Feeling his chakra being drained, B's struggles became even more violent. More and more of the Eight-Tails' chakra poured from his seal, and another tail sprouted from his back. But Samehada, which had been eating so happily, was now reaching its limit. It couldn't eat as fast as B was producing chakra.
B, his mind consumed by rage, ignored the sword latched onto his leg and continued to hammer away at Keisuke's Rashōmon shield.
Inside the seal, B's consciousness met with the Eight-Tails, Gyūki.
"Killer B," the beast rumbled. "If you keep wasting my chakra like this, your body won't be able to take it."
"Eight-Tails! I don't care! Lend me your power!" B stared at Gyūki, his will unshakable. "The Yellow Flash killed my brother! I'll kill him to avenge him! For my brother, I would give my life!"
Gyūki was moved. In all its years, it had never had a Jinchuriki like this one. It respected his fierce devotion. And since their lives were linked...
"Killer B," Gyūki's form faded into the darkness. "Just this once. After this, I won't help you again..."
An unprecedented surge of power flowed into B. 'Eight-Tails...'
The Jinchuriki and the Tailed Beast had reached an understanding. The Perfect Jinchuriki was born.
Outside, Keisuke stood calmly behind his shield, watching Samehada's performance with disappointment. "I give you a chance, and you're useless."
He was analyzing the rampaging Jinchuriki. In this mindless state, the enemy was actually more difficult to deal with. Pain and fear meant nothing; they only made the beast more ferocious. 'If I had perfected my Wood Style, this would be no trouble at all. But for now...'
Just as he was thinking this, a sudden change occurred. The dark red chakra cloak around B receded, replaced by purple-red skin as his body swelled into the full form of the bull-octopus.
'His rational mind is back online?' Keisuke thought, his eyes narrowing. 'Or is it...'
The now fully-transformed Killer B immediately locked onto his target. His eight massive tentacles lashed out with even more terrifying force than before. They slammed into the Rashōmon shield, and though the "absolute defense" held, Keisuke felt a massive drain on his Yin Seal's reserves. The chakra consumption had skyrocketed.
But B wasn't finished. He wrapped all eight of his tentacles around his body, curling into a massive, purple-red ball, and began to spin.
"Tailed Beast Eight Twists!"
A super-tornado of terrifying scale erupted on the battlefield, the winds so powerful they ripped trees from the ground and sucked them into the vortex. Minato, unable to find any footing, was forced to teleport far away to escape. Keisuke lowered his Rashōmon, forming a protective dome around himself.
When the storm passed, the landscape was a barren wasteland. Keisuke's form was revealed, and he looked at the still-spinning Eight-Tails. He decisively raised his right hand, and a small, dense, black sphere formed in his palm.
Dark Spiral Annihilation Sphere!
The black meteor streaked across the sky and struck the Eight-Tails point-blank.
BOOM!!
Gyūki, taking a direct hit, was horrifically wounded. Blood and ink gushed from its body, and several of its tails were blown clean off.
"B!!" Gyūki roared from within the seal. "You said it was the Yellow Flash! Does the Yellow Flash have a move like a Tailed Beast Bomb?!"
"Sorry, Eight-Tails," B replied, scanning the battlefield. He couldn't see Minato anywhere. "The Yellow Flash is gone... he must have fled."
Minato's tactical retreat had been mistaken for cowardice. But now, B's reason had fully returned. He was staring at the Shadow of Darkness, the man who had just taken him down in his perfect Tailed Beast form with a single blow. And he knew that the Shadow of Darkness had been fighting the Third Raikage. The fact that he was here... meant that Lord Third...
His brother was dead. The Sage of Six Paths himself couldn't save him. He knew what he had to do.
He had to retreat and take his brother's body back to the village.
