Sherwin and the others had stayed on Angel Island for several days.
During that time, aside from thoroughly exploring every corner of Angel Island, they also managed to successfully transplant the plants from Sky Island.
This wasn't particularly difficult—after all, the nature of island clouds was quite similar to soil.
The only concern, much like with the sky fish, was whether those plants could survive after losing their high-altitude environment, and whether they might undergo some kind of change…
After all, as the saying goes, "When an orange tree grows south of the Huai River, it bears oranges when it grows north, it bears trifoliate oranges." Even though the physical and biological rules of the pirate world were vastly different from those of Earth, there were still some similarities.
But those were just side matters. What really took time was waiting for Purah Meow and Haibara Meow to finish developing the anti-electric combat suits and various attribute-based Sky Shell weapons.
Actually, Sherwin had suggested to the two Felynes that they could use the Seastone they'd obtained from the Sand Crocodile to make a set of equipment. The results might be even better than simple rubber suits.
However, after Purah Meow and Haibara Meow tested the properties of Seastone with Klee Meow, they ended up rejecting his proposal.
Although Seastone was completely unharmed by Klee Meow flames, and it could even make direct contact with elementalized small puppets, that didn't mean that armor made from Seastone could protect its wearer…
Because although it was called "stone," Seastone was, in essence, closer in nature to metal. Naturally, it also shared the same traits most metals possessed—namely, the ability to conduct heat and electricity.
Furthermore, when struck by ordinary attacks, the person behind the Seastone would still feel the shock and impact.
In other words, the Seastone armor Sherwin had envisioned wasn't much different from an exceptionally sturdy iron shell. It could restrain Devil Fruit users, yes—but its advantage wasn't nearly as great as he had imagined.
Compared to armor, Seastone was far more suitable for use as a weapon, since it posed a greater threat to ability users that way.
And when you thought about it, that made sense—if Seastone armor were truly that powerful, the World Government would've been using it long ago, instead of just patching ship hulls with it or making handcuffs.
That said, the development of the rubber-based insulated suit wasn't going very smoothly either.
In the pirate world, rubber wasn't like what some science enthusiasts on Earth claimed—where over two million volts of electricity could pierce through it, and ten million volts would instantly carbonize it.
Yet when Haibara Meow and Purah Meow increased the voltage to thirty million volts, the rubber began to show damage.
And Enel casual attacks started at ten million volts—thirty million volts was just one of his basic moves, about the same level as a "Hadoken" in a fighting game.
Even after the two research Felynes optimized the rubber, the final product could only withstand up to fifty million volts without damage.
Against Enel, who could unleash strikes up to two hundred million volts, that level of defense was practically meaningless…
So seriously—how did that guy Luffy manage to tank Enel lightning without a scratch before turning into Nika?
Sherwin once again couldn't help but grumble inwardly about the absurd, logic-defying physics of the pirate world.
Still, the anti-electric suits the Felynes developed weren't completely useless. At the very least, wearing them could prevent damage from the residual discharge of Enel lightning attacks. And even if someone got hit directly, the suit could still reduce part of the impact.
As for using rubber weapons to attack Enel… they might as well just use Seastone weapons instead!
In the end, they only produced some expendable gear like rubber bullets and rubber arrowheads, plus a few rubber shields. The originally planned full-body rubber suits were ultimately abandoned.
"This world is just completely unscientific, meow!"

Failing to meet her expectations, Purah Meow puffed up her cheeks angrily—she was so frustrated she even forgot to say her usual catchphrase.
Sherwin glanced at the little inventor cat, saying nothing.
After all, whether it was the strange gadgets and gear from the Monster Hunter world, or the bizarre ancient technology of Hyrule, none of it made much scientific sense to someone from Earth like him.
With Haibara Meow and Purah Meow finally wrapping up their research, Sherwin group was at last ready to go stir up trouble for Enel.
As promised, he blew the whistle to signal Gan Fall, but instead of waiting for him and the Shandians to rendezvous with them, they simply piloted the Dodo Advance straight to the edge of God Island.
"Haibara, Purah—you two… maybe you should stay on the ship?"
After a moment thought, Sherwin decided to ask for the Felyne own opinions.
For safety reasons, it would definitely be best for both research cats to remain aboard the ship.
Haibara Meow, being a homebody, probably wouldn't mind. But Purah Meow, with her restless nature, was a different story—she definitely wasn't the type to sit still.
Sure enough, Purah Meow immediately shook her tiny head like a rattle drum.
"I wanna go explore the island with everyone too, meow!"
(ω≡ω)
Even Haibara Meow, who usually disliked going out, spoke up: "Although these plants came up with Jaya Island when it flew into the sky, after being influenced by the high-altitude environment for so many years, they've undergone many noticeable changes.
They're quite valuable for research. I might even find plants suitable for adjusting recovery potions. Besides, studying them could provide some reference for cultivating and transplanting Sky Island plants onto our ship, meow."
Since Haibara Meow had given such a solid reason, Sherwin couldn't refuse any further. He could only repeatedly remind the two research Felynes to never stray too far from him or Seijuro Meow and the other combat members.
"Sherwin-nii."

Klee Meow, lying on his shoulder, suddenly tugged his ear and tilted her little head in puzzlement. "We came here to fight this time, right, meow?"
"Yeah, what about it?" Sherwin looked at Klee Meow, a little confused, then suddenly realized, "Don't worry, I'll let you throw bombs."
"That not what Klee meant, meow!" The small plush cat bit his ear lightly before continuing,
"Since we came here to fight, why didn't we bring Dodo Advance onto the island too, meow? She can already transform into a big cat now, right, meow?"
Sherwin: "..."
Oh right! How could I have forgotten that!
The Hunter, who hadn't thought of it earlier, gave a few awkward chuckles, then instinctively glanced at Robin and the other Felynes—only to see that they were all averting their eyes awkwardly as well...
Hmm, looks like I wasn't the only one who didn't think of that.
Sherwin suddenly felt balanced in his heart.
Then, he picked up Klee Meow and planted a big kiss right on her forehead, praising, "Our Klee is so smart! None of us even thought of that!"
"Ehehe~"
(=`=)
The little plush cat proudly lifted her head. "Klee is super smart, meow!"
After putting the Klee Meow—who had just woken everyone up with her words of wisdom—back onto his shoulder, Sherwin and the others immediately sprang into action.
Amidst a series of clanking and whirring transformation sounds, the ship beneath everyone (and every cat) feet retracted its sails and "grew" limbs and a tail, taking on the shape of a cat.
Because Dodo Advance current main power source and "operating system" were created by Klee Meow ability—a "Solar Furnace" combined with a fire-based frame similar to Dodo Bear—when she moved in this form, faint flames leaked from the gaps between her joints.
However, that only made Dodo Advance appear even more imposing and majestic.
So rather than saying this form looked like a cat, it actually resembled a tiger.
Hence, this form was named—
Dodo Advance: Magnamalo Form!
