Chapter 257 - 257 Arrival at Skypiea

"Yah-hoo—! It Skypiea, meow—!"

As the Dodo Advance steadily landed on the White Sea, Klee Meow leapt off the ship first and dashed toward the island.

Fortunately, their landing spot seemed to be near the coast. The sea of clouds—similar to seawater—was only a shallow layer otherwise, that silly little cat who had eaten a Devil Fruit would've drowned.

Sherwin turned to look at the fiery-red Kuma beside him…

Before jumping off, that little one had even remembered to summon Dodo Kuma to guard the ship!Knowing the small plushie personality, she probably thought that this way, Hua Mei Meow would have no excuse to call her back.

Sherwin couldn't help but smile wryly. He rubbed the head of the soaring Azuros beside him—who was just about to call the plushie back—and said, "Alright, let Klee go. As long as she doesn't wander onto God Island, it still safe around here."

"You really spoil Klee, Admiral!" Hua Mei Meow rolled her eyes, then squinted and rubbed her head affectionately against his palm.

After dropping the anchor, Sherwin, Robin, and the other Felynes all jumped off the ship as well, stepping onto the slightly damp sea of clouds—a mixture of mist and seawater—before setting foot on Skypiea Angel Island, its ground made entirely of soft yet sturdy white island clouds.

On the "beach" connecting to the White Sea, several plants unique to Skypiea were growing, immediately catching the attention of the two researcher Felynes—Purah Meow and Haibara Meow.

Beside them was Sanji Meow, the chef Felyne. This time, the little yellow cat wasn't just following the beautiful big sister Felyne, Purah Meow—he was also quite interested in the "coconuts" hanging from the nearby palm trees… even though they looked more like pumpkins.

The explorer Hua Mei Meow and the squirrel-like Link Meow were both restless by nature each ran off toward what caught their curiosity.

In the blink of an eye, only the samurai-minded Seijuro and Nico Robin—who didn't seem excited unless there were historical artifacts around—remained by Sherwin side.

"Klee and the others will probably be playing for quite a while. Why don't we wait over there and take a little break?"

Sherwin picked up Seijuro, scratching under his chin, and invited Robin.

"Sure." Robin smiled softly.

Robin nodded casually and walked side by side with Sherwin toward a pavilion by the beach that looked like it was meant for resting.

Inside the pavilion were three "beach chairs" made of clouds—just enough for the two of them and one Felyne.

After feeling the cloud chair softness and comfort, Sherwin took out some snacks from his spatial pouch, then plucked three pumpkin-shaped sky coconuts from a nearby palm tree.

He cut small holes into them with a knife and inserted straws. The two of them sat there, eating and drinking leisurely while chatting idly.

"Sherwin, Sherwin! Klee made a big discovery, meow!"

Just as Sherwin and Robin were relaxing comfortably in the pavilion—with Seijuro already dozing off—the little plushie who had been running wildly along the coast came charging back at full speed.

Klee Meow leapt into Sherwin arms and proudly held up several spherical leaves she had plucked from some kind of Skypiea plant. "Look! These leaves are so special—they're round, meow!"

(=ω=)

"Mhm, mhm, that really amazing." Sherwin patted the little plushie head, matching her excitement, then scooped out another sky coconut and handed it to her. "Here, try this too—it tastes great."

"It sooo good! Even better than the drinks we bought on that island below, meow!"

After gulping down a big sip, Klee Meow rubbed her cheek against Sherwin arm and said, "Sherwin, can we add this to our restaurant menu, meow?"

"Hmm… that might be a bit tricky…" Sherwin rubbed his chin in thought before suggesting, "You could ask Haibara and Sanji Meow to see if they can transplant a few of these coconut trees and that round-leaf plant onto our ship. That way, you can drink it anytime you like."

"Oh, right! Klee going to find Sister Haibara now, meow!"

After being reminded, Klee Meow quickly gulped down the sky coconut juice in just a few sips. Then, clutching the round leaves she had picked and balancing the now-empty coconut shell on her head, she dashed off on her little short legs toward Haibara Meow.

The Felynes had been playing wildly along the beach for quite a while before any Sky Islanders finally appeared...

However, the ones who showed up weren't the father and daughter duo that Luffy crew had met in the manga. Instead, it was a group of people wearing white berets and camouflage pants.

"Haissso!"

The white-beret group approached Sherwin and the others, placing their right hands behind their backs while raising their left hands behind their heads to form a rock-style hand sign—a rather strange greeting gesture.

"Greetings, visitors from the Blue Sea. I am McKin, captain of the Skypiea Police—White Beret Unit!"

The Sky Islander at the front, a man with a scar across his face, introduced himself formally.

"Uh… hello?" Sherwin replied uncertainly.

"Angel Island welcomes all visitors and tourists," McKin continued, maintaining that odd pose, "but as the one responsible for public order on this island, it is my duty to inform you of our laws…"

Then, he started chattering away.

There wasn't much content—just eleven rules in total. They were generally similar to the laws of the Blue Sea: no burning, killing, looting, or destroying the environment, and so on.

The only particularly unique one was "No killing priests or showing disrespect to God," which was considered the most serious crime on Sky Island.

After making all these announcements, McKin led his group of White Hats and left.

Seeing that the Felynes had just about finished playing around, Sherwin called them all back together. Then, leading the group in grand fashion, they marched toward the central area of Sky Island.

Before long, they arrived at Lovely Street, the most bustling part of Angel Island. Since Sherwin and his crew were paying tourists, the Sky Islanders treated them with great kindness, warmly introducing them to all the wonders of Sky Island—including, of course, the mysterious Dials.

"This is so amazing, meow! With these magical shells, we can not only add more functions to the Dodo Advance, but also, just like back in the village, forge weapons with different attributes, meow! Check it!"

(ゝω)~☆

Purah Meow excitedly shopped along Lovely Street, buying all kinds of Dials, and from time to time she would pull out a little notebook to jot down the inspirations bursting into her mind.

Meanwhile, another research Felyne, Haibara Meow, was equally fascinated by these Dials…

"I wonder if we can cultivate these Dials after bringing them back. If they undergo new changes, that would make things even more interesting.

And if we use Bloodline factors, we might even be able to create combat suits like the ones Sister Reiju and her family wear—infused with various elemental attributes, meow!"

It was clear that the two research Felynes had different focuses: Haibara Meow preferred bioengineering and pharmaceutical research, while Purah Meow loved tinkering with mechanical creations.
