"Clark, it's him."Daisy walked over to Clark and pointed at the burly man on the ground.
"What is he?"Clark was confused by Daisy's strange phrasing. What is he?
"I mean, the guy I mentioned in the message—the one Jane hit with the car and I tasered later—that's him."
Daisy pointed at the unconscious man again.
"He was just grazed by the car and managed to stand up afterward," Jane added, walking over with Erik and extending her hand to Clark."Hi, I'm Jane. I'm Daisy's mentor."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Clark. You could say I'm a friend of Daisy's," Clark replied as he shook her hand.
"Just a friend?" Jane smiled and looked at Daisy teasingly.
"Just a regular friend," Clark glanced at Daisy, and seeing no reaction, he clarified.
"Hey, could you help us lift him?"At that moment, a few doctors who had been knocked over by Thor walked over. They had been trying to move the unconscious man for a while without success.
"Sure," Clark responded casually.
But just as he was about to help, he hesitated. On one hand, lifting together with others felt beneath him. On the other hand—if not together, then how? A bridal carry?
No way. Carrying a muscular man like a bride? Clark would look totally sus.
After thinking for a moment, Clark simply grabbed Thor by the collar and lifted him up with one hand.
"Sir, he's still a patient," one of the doctors nearby reminded him.
"You really think someone who just knocked all of you over is just a patient? Where's his room?"
Clark had seen the man lying there without a scratch. Okay, maybe a bump on the head, but that was definitely not Clark's fault.
"Alright, just over here."A little embarrassed at being knocked over earlier, the doctor didn't argue and just guided Clark to a room.
After leaving the hospital, Daisy glanced at the time. It was almost 1 PM.
"Alright, Clark. It's getting late. Why don't you come rest at our place?"
As soon as she said it, everyone turned to look at her. Daisy quickly realized how that sounded and rushed to explain.
"I mean, we have an extra room! It's not like anyone else is using it. It's inconvenient for him to go back now, right?"
"We didn't say anything, Daisy," Jane said with a teasing tone, clearly enjoying Daisy's awkwardness. She then turned to Clark."I think Daisy's right. If you've got nowhere to go tonight, you're welcome to stay with us."
"Alright," Clark accepted without protest, seeing they were all being so hospitable.
"Is this a lab or a repair shop?"That was Clark's first impression of Daisy's place—tools and equipment scattered everywhere.
"Budget issues. This is the best we could manage," Jane explained simply, then said to Daisy,"Daisy, help your friend Clark settle into a room. Or maybe you want to do it yourself?"
"I'll do it, thanks!"Daisy didn't back down from Jane's teasing.
After last night's chaos, Daisy realized her mentor Jane wasn't as uptight and scary as she thought.
"I can't believe this…" Clark muttered."Hey, I'm still here," he cut in before things got more awkward.
"Alright, Clark. This is your room. It's a bit rough, hope you don't mind."
Clark followed Daisy into the room—it was indeed sparse. One side had various instruments, and the other had a basic bed.
"It's fine. I'm comfortable anywhere. You go get some rest."
To be honest, for Clark, it didn't matter where he slept. With his strength, concrete could feel like cotton.
"Alright then, I'm off. I'm so tired..."
The next morning, Clark was still lying in bed when he overheard voices outside.
"Aren't you a science major?" That was Erik's voice."This is political science," Daisy replied."She's the only one who applied to join us," Jane added.
"Guess I'm the only one still in bed," Clark muttered and got up. He couldn't sleep any longer.
"Hey, everyone, come look at this—big discovery!"
As Clark finished washing up and came out, he heard Daisy shout excitedly.
"What big discovery?" Clark was curious. What could they have possibly discovered overnight?
But no one answered—everyone was focused on a photo.
"This is unbelievable..." Erik murmured, staring at the image.
"I think something landed near the hospital," Jane said as she packed up to leave.
"Huh? What happened?" Clark was puzzled. How could something big happen and he not notice?
"Clark, you better come see this!"
Perfect—Daisy pulled Clark over and showed him the photo.
"What is this?" Clark asked. The photo that had everyone so shocked showed some blurry human-like figures.
"This was taken while we were filming the storm in the sky. That guy—he fell from it," Daisy explained.
"Wait, what?"Clark felt like this plot sounded awfully familiar.
"By the way, what was that guy's name again? The one you hit yesterday?"
"He said his name was Thor. Why?"
"Thor—figures. No wonder he looked so familiar."
Clark realized it now: if that guy was Thor, then the Thor storyline had officially begun.
That actually made sense. Iron Man 2 had an Easter egg about Thor at the end, and the timing seemed to align with Thor and Mjolnir's arrival on Earth.
Speaking of the hammer, Clark was quite interested in trying it out.
After all, that legendary hammer was said to be forged from the core of a white dwarf star. He wondered how many white dwarfs were used in making that thing—certainly more than he had access to.
And Hela crushed it with one hand in Thor: Ragnarok. Clark figured that might've been more about Odin's enchantment or blessing wearing off. Still, the hammer's material clearly wasn't as strong as Hela's hand—that much was fact.
A white dwarf weighs around 10 tons per cubic centimeter, and Clark estimated Mjolnir's volume to be about 6,750 cubic centimeters—so around 67 tons total.
Realistically, wielding that thing would require at least 20 tons of arm strength—that's like lifting an aircraft carrier or a 200-meter skyscraper.
Yet movie Thor didn't seem that strong. Either the hammer was made from lighter materials like Uru, or it powered itself in battle and the user just needed to aim it.
Whatever the reason, Clark was dying to try the hammer himself. After all, just about every other "Isekai-to-Marvel" protagonist eventually picked it up—why not him?
And now that Mjolnir had landed on Earth, the Thor storyline was in motion. Ever since discovering his powers, Clark had been looking forward to this arc.
Why? Simple—he really wanted to visit Nidavellir.
