The next day, to Fenja's surprise, Jaxon took her out with him. He woke up early and waited for her in the lobby after she finished her breakfast.
Fenja went down; Ethan followed behind her. He was quiet and wouldn't talk unless it was necessary.
In the lobby, she also saw Lance. Her eyes lit up when she saw the gamma. He often appeared cheerful, and it was an infectious energy.
Fenja must be excited to be out and meet a few people; it showed on her face. Of course, it didn't go unnoticed by Jaxon.
"Good morning, Lance," Fenja greeted him, smiling widely. They got closer after she cooked him dinner back in the old house of the Alpha. Moreover, they had met and interacted several times before that.
"Good morning, Fenja."
"You call each other by name?" Jaxon picked it up immediately.
Lance gave him a look. "I call you by name." He then hastily added. "Only in informal settings. I will not forget my place, Jax." He didn't see anything wrong with it.
